  • the original is unfuckwitable

  • If this was the original, the song would be so much better

  • Beautiful! From a person with a large philosophical background... this is very true and realistic. Over-realism and mental strength. If the whole world looked at everything noticing how bad it can be before the good is realized a lot less evil in this world would exist.

  • doom's beats are fu**ing sick

  • DOOM IS A SAVAGE!!!!!!

  • You know, I've always loved saxophones.

  • I wish you no success in any of your future enfeavors Nero for postin this stupid version of possibly the most underated Nas classic ever!

  • does anybody know about a instrumental of htis?

  • @swineboi mf doom arrow root. special herbs

  • @LBCengineer thanksdawwgy

  • the best rapper alive!!!

  • dooms mpc on the cymz and snare are too much + nas poetry ... what more could a true hip hop dan ask for

  • Nas is the Hip Hop hero (notice his lyrics in his Hip Hop is Dead album, he basically calls himself the hero of hip hop and he even has a song entitled "Hero")

Whilst DOOM is the Villain (which needs no introduction... they should have a collab album, and when this happens (if DJ Premier desides to step in too), the world of Hip Hop would be concluded. I swear, the world would fucking explode if this happens.

  • @GamerX89X dont they already have a collab album? titled Nostradamus?

  • little known fact: Nas is a huge MF Doom fan.

  • 10,000000000000 times better than the original, doom just turned a great track into CLASSIC

  • i cannot believe my frend told me to lissen to this, so shit. you lot got no taste in music

  • @bs19891 listen*

  • @bs19891 No you have no taste in music listen to the lyrics you hater. But you probably wont understand it because you are stupid.

  • Damn, I really wish DOOM spit at least one verse. It would have made this song perfect.

  • this life is fucked up but yo, this life is the only life i know

  • is the beat sampled? who did the jazz solo at the chorus?

  • lawd have mercy. this is a nice mix. there is just something bout nas, biggie, jayz flow their voice can ride almost any beat. peace to the metal finger villian. im out

  • @SADMANMUSIC35 / Dude you got the second illest name on here lol.

  • @LyfeIzLike lol

  • Hell yeah.

  • Pretty much any post It Was written Nas mash up is better than the original because he has a fucking horrible ear for beats. Its sad actually

  • @IliketoGHOSS did you just say that nas has a bad ear for beats?!? nas is easily the most consistent rapper in the game, absolutely nails beats dont get it twisted.

  • @IliketoGHOSS ur a fuckin moron... how can u even type the words fucking horrible ears for beats.. NAS has the best tunes so wtf u smoking?

  • @cror actually, it's true, nas' most post "it was written" production ain't that good. his talent and status are unquestionable but his production is average at best.

  • @rmsg120nsb thats ur opinion cant knock it but dude u must not follow nas that much cuz if ur a nas fan u would know its about his lyrics.well in my opinion atleast... the beat is the 2nd important part, yet still i give credit to every producer that has ever worked with NAS.

  • @cror no doubt as i stated "his talent and status are unquestionable". i am a big nas fan that's why i say that he deserves way better production.

  • @rmsg120nsb werd i didnt notice the Unquestionable part :P but agreed!!

  • @IliketoGHOSS he had a great ear for beats when it came to illmatic:/

  • @FreestyleFletcher where do you live?

  • @art89s fuck freestylefletcher bro dude is depressed and can't sleep thats why he's a fucking hater that should live in pile of garbage

  • ahhh nas and DOOM need more collabs they a match made in heaven

  • C.L.A.S.S.I.C.

  • Its only Nas but with MF DooM beats

  • i like this form of art, where can i find more nas vocals?

  • i would love to have the instrumental version, any1 know where to find it?

  • @pozzog the instrumental is called arrow root

  • This beat is sick, but I like the original better. This beat should have a new verse from Nas on it, not a mix with a differnt acappella

  • @XxBigBrother...Oh. I see. Thanks.

  • where's DOOM?

  • @mrcannon314 he produced the song...

  • Classic Nas song!Sick ass beat!

  • I disagree. I like the original better. Nas' delivery and flow go better on the first version that this one.

  • This beat is the reason I thought the original was a piece of crap, this is one of the best beats I've heard in my life, and Nas is well.... phenomenal.

  • this song gives me the chills.

  • Shiiit, thats how I feel sometimes. What NAS said. Just like that.

  • i guess mad people still dont know about the Special herbs and spices...Doom is a super villain

  • Comment removed

  • whats the instrumental?

  • @marcusdadog youtube "arrow root"

  • this is a classic no doubt,

    respec from london uk

  • IMO, this beat far better suited for these verses from Nas, Got that 90s hip-hop wit a couple slices of Jazz feel. Smooth as shyt.

  • Doom helped write this song. I know it.

  • @daughterMYslaughter Nas made in in '98 or '99, it was released a few months after I Am... due to bootlegging, so I doubt DOOM wrote this at all.

  • @berserkfootball i don't doubt that.

  • @Logic4Dummies rape?

  • nas is nice. but you niggas sound like you wanna suck his dick

  • this is soo perfect lol

  • original is better... the feeling is gone, , but still a sick producer tho

  • dooms got the beats

  • People who listen to rap and think this is wack are wack themselves. We need to picket-sign Lil Wayne and Akon to get more of this in people's ears before they just DECIDE what's good and whats bad.

  • sounds way better than the one on nastradamus

  • is just tha life we chose..."

...this life is tha only life i know..."

  • @b0bbyhell he put nas to his own beats.

  • @b0bbyhell yeah its nas lyrics over dooms beats.

  • It's off the album 'Nastradoomus', which some dude made mixing Dooms 'Special Herbs' and some of Nas' best tunes,

Check it out it's a wicked mix!!

  • is this a real collaberation between doom and nas, or is this a personal remix?

  • nas lyrics over Mf doom beat.

  • sweet beats jumbo flows

  • This shit is dope!!!!

doom and nas is a good mix

    lyrical masterminds!!!!!!

    SUPPORT REAL HIPHOP!!!

    KEEP HIPHOP ALIVE!!!!

  • This is history right here

  • this mixed is best nas is better than any rapper dead or alive include 2pac

  • nas do a track with lil wayne..

    he is wack now sry

but this track is so good....

  • haha c'mon now? wayne!? what a joke. lil wayne doesnt even deserve to be in the same room as Nas lol

  • anyone that says Nas is wack can suck a dick

  • word fucking life.

  • @Drummafolife nas consistently upps the ante with radio rappers and makes them have to rap after him and get outshined this guy is timeless

  • letting doom rap on this would make it wack, nas paints a good picture here with no help

  • so fucking good

  • "And I'll admit it, this life is fucked up but yo......this life is the only life I know"

  • check out still liquor blues. the nas and jay remixes are sick

  • damn this song is fucked up

from the beat to the lyrics, everything is on point

  • It's off. The original is better. I don't care if DOOM did flip it with 'Arrow Root' it sounds 100% better on 'Next Levels' IMHO.

  • song is raw beat is raw this shit is raw

  • thaht wack nigga is called MF DOOM and im 100% that he knows what he is doing and this isnt off..

I prefer that you don't comment.

  • this shit is fucking fire. nuff' said.

  • Chillin bruh...Chillin.

  • Yeah this is smooth.

  • Ooooooo ... sick

  • its ok.

  • love the beat

  • way better than the original version!

  • This beat gives me a high man!

  • Dooms mask is just unbelievably awesome.

  • Hip hop at its best....Nas is the best and doom is awesome..

  • arrow root is such a calm beat. found peace listening to it while coming down from a trip. mm... DOOM

  • i think this is Doom's best work

  • good vibe on this one

  • The only reason i like the King Geedorah version is because scienz is on the track.

Probably my favorite doom beat ever.

  • version better *

  • yeah this really is better then the original very dope one of dooms best and Nas is always dope

  • this song is so ill with this beat.

  • Nas Lyrics with MF DOOM Beats=greatest hip hop combo ever

  • Comment removed

  • This is a great mix, it just flows.

  • better than the original,,,,,,mf's beats are beast

  • Nas should of picked this beat to compliment this song on his album

  • Cant mess with DOOMS! beats, too lovely, Metal Finger Villain

  • nice! really smooth

  • this remix is fuckin ill! props to MF Doom

  • how could hip hop be dead, if WU-TANG is FOREVER!?

  • Clever pun...but when nas says hip-hop is dead he means its 6 feet deep or underground ...get it? look at Kweli hes a great example

  • haha you got that from the rza but its true

  • was this on nas's new album

  • if you mean the nigger album then no because this was on mf dooms vinyl

  • i feel like hip hop still has a fire when i hear rap like this. as long as we have artists like this rap will survive

  • This is muh shit

  • that sax man...that sax

  • original is to fast this is better. Beat is very smooth and nice

  • this is really good but i think the original flows way better!

  • sooooooo much better!! Dooms not dead lol

  • i like this version way better i think the beat is way cracke than orignal its butter

  • WHAT? DUDE UR CRAZY!!!! this version is waayyyyy better!!!!

  • Nah I got u wickstarr...

Original is way more real and deep. This one is more soft and chill. Can't take the message as serious with this beat.

This one is good though. Real hip hop vibe but I guess people don't realise how real these lyrics are. It's more then just hip hop. It's real talk!, Karma!

  • I dont know, with a loud ass beat on tha original version doesnt fit wit Nas' tone but wit this smooth ass beat it fits Nas' tone. Thats jus my opinion though.

  • well until just now i never heard the original bt i would have to agree this version is wayy better

  • I say both version of this song are Sick

Nas is the best! wish he was making as much albums as he did in the 90s!
