Por mi parte su obra pop -excepto cositas como Moonlight Shadows (escrita a raiz del asesinato de John Lennon)- no la puedo disfrutar. A veces por preferir algo cerramos el entendimiento a otras cosas de igual o superior calidad.

the first time I heard AMAROK was just when it was released, I bough it immediately and at the moment I listen to the record I was amazed, it's my favourite Oldfield's album with Ommadawn and Discovery.

Nice extract ! I doubt that there will ever be something comparable to Amarok, it's just perfection in every possible way. And really as amazenboy said the final climax IS the most beautiful, most uplifting piece of music ever written.
