  • do you guys now how the fire started

  • what happened to the old king kong sound stage?

  • @oahuboi63 It was burned down in the fire 2 years ago.

  • Is this replacing another stop on the Backlot tour ride?

  • @cirkuzfreak No, it's a brand new addition to the Studio Tour

  • @ThemeParkAdventure sickk Im excited to see this thing :)

  • Going tomorrow, can't wait!

  • It's a fucking screen and some dudes animating shit on a computer... digital assets which they already have, I might add... can it get any cheaper for a theme park than this? Give me ACTUAL ANIMATRONICS AND REAL ENVIRONMENTS ANY DAY over this unimaginative shit.

  • im going next week i hope its good

  • im going to USH on friday and my mom was all like," They said that the new King Kong ride is really scary." So i looked at the comments on this video and was like,"Aww!!" I was hoping the ride would be good.

  • I loved '05 King Kong I am so excited about this. I was at US in December and May and totally figures that this wasnt opened yet!!

  • I went yesterday for the grand opening. Biggest let down ever. It's an imax movie with a few bumps. It's bad enough that CGI is already taking over all special effects in movies now but they have to be lazy and do that with rides too? Don't go to this ride. It's immensely disappointing

  • @debbij

    "Don't go to this ride."

You can't avoid this ride (it's really not a ride) when it's part of the Backlot Tram Train attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood. A few people that I spoke to said they really enjoyed this new King Kong attraction and was way better than the old one, so I'll judge for myself when I go later on this summer.

  • @CpFan334 No, there is no need for 3-D glasses with tehnology they're using. The film will be projected on a round surface making the veiwer (while they are seeing the projection) not able to tell the depth of it. Their mind will make an assumption based on the picture how the depth perception will be laid out.

  • @MrArtiny No, you DO need 3-D glasses for this.

  • @MrArtiny You do need the glasses ;p

  • @CpFan334 You need to where 3D glasses or it's not cool

  • what exactly will be going on through the ride? king kong chasing you or beating you up?? lol please respond

  • high expectations for this one!!

im just happy thay got rid of the original because it scred the shit out of me when was a kid and hunted me forever and i never wanted to go to USH any more

thank god my nightmares was distroyde for ever when the fire happen i was realy happy

    THANK GOD!!

  • i think i get it the screans are like the so big and its going to be so dark you wont get to see the other stuff but the screans and in 3d and there is going to be in 3D this is going to be cool and think the story line of this ride is your traveling thru skull island and then your in the middel of king kong and that dinosour fighting

  • did they show you any film? If so what is this Kong story about?

  • is Florida going to have this eventually, or is it just a Hollywood thing? I would love to see this but I live closer to USF :)

  • @pattisgirls It would be very unlikely since Florida's KONG was already replaced by The Mummy Ride.

  • So it's more of a virtual experience than the (burnt-down) model from before...

I kind miss the mechanical model though :\

  • its gonna be 3d with the tram?that's gonna be tight!

  • from what i heard its coming out July 1st, 2010

  • @CpFan334 don't worry about it. We must have a misunderstanding. I know the building like the back of my hand.

  • hmmmm i hope it turns out good.

  • @CpFan334 no The Simpsons Screens are 7 story tall (OMNIMAX) Screens that are dome shaped. I was a frequent visitor of the ride backstage when my father worked their. most fir bttf the ride. i even have a few pieces of film.

  • awesome i can`t wait to see

  • High expectations!!! cant wait

  • Im getting the 12 month pass for Universal next weekend, i cant wait for this to open in June.

  • the screens arent that big The simpsons BTTF Screens WOW Those ARE SCREENS

  • i wonder if we get to keep glasses like a little piece of king kong to remind us of it

  • @CpFan334 Yes, there will be 3D glasses.

  • @ThemeParkAdventure

    Just like Terminator 2-3D

  • I was going to say something about the lack of screens on the ceiling, but of course you can't see the ceiling for the roofs of the trams.

    Neat concept!

  • @TheInflicted

    This is just a prototype

  • But even the final version would not need to have screens in places the guests couldn't see.

  • I still think they could have made the screen a little closer to the ceiling. I also thought it was going to be a separate ride, a 360 4D experience. Im a little disappointed.

  • All i've got say is this:

Do you need any more proof that there is a God?
