  • Alesi is lucky in this accident. At 1:00 we can see the nose of Raikkonen's car could take off the head of Alesi =(

  • look at the loose wheels @0:43.

    thats how henry surtees died..

  • lol

  • Kimi is just an arrogant punk

  • i miss the v10

  • Those tires rolling over the track could have seriously injured the oncoming drivers!

  • Last Race...Last Crash

  • I wish we still had people like Alesi in F1 nowadays.

  • Look how close the car is to Alesi's helmet at 1:01 good grief...

  • Why Alesi went on the same trajectory as Kimi?

  • @TheLotusRT Bit weird isn't it. Kimi's car was always going to go to the outside, Alesi should have stayed on the inside. Drivers are always told "go where the car was"

  • And it was Alesi last race...

  • Smertyin092 - Alesi had his moments, however he simply wasn't consistent enough every race to be a WC.

  • Good Looking car changes itself to a ugly car AT 1:02. ><

  • Alesi could have avoided that if he had any champ talent in him wat so ever just laid back driver who takes one decision and statys there even if it means he is going to hit the wall

  • I think Alesi joined Prost

  • opened DRS too early...

  • @DutchRacerr I'm not quite sure if you know this already, but there was no DRS in 2011.

  • Really sad, how this legend left F1 like this...I remember he had two options for 2002, but lost both of them because of 'paying drivers'. The most underrated driver, he deserved a WC, not a single victory.

  • @Smertyin092 Kimi won the WC in 2007

  • @jakeyyboy1

Uhm, I was talking about Alesi, if it wasn't obvious. If your comment was a joke than I apologise.

  • @Smertyin092 He did win a WC, for ferari. But this legend is comming back in 2012 :)

  • @TvLOverdose

    I was talking about Alesi...

  • @Smertyin092 sorry i fail

  • 1:04, pretty lucky nobody got a wheel in the head.

  • His rear left wheel snaps off in the turn. wicked

  • educado alesi muito bom

  • very sad to see the last race of Alesi ending like this.

back in 1990 I thought it would be him ruling F1 world in the 90s. I was wrong

  • and yes...suspension failure

  • wow that was big

  • that could have killed Kimi-the nose of Alesi's car missed his cockpit by inches-that would have been the end of what was the most amazing driver I have ever seen.....Alesi is one of the sports gentlemen-too see both of my past hero's crash like this.....miss real f1

  • @techracer100 The other way around too, Once Kimi hit the wall his car was pitched up and his nose went over the front of Alesi. :O

  • Wow, 130R is the last place you would want to have a crash.

  • @simoncase It's actually Dunlop curve.

If you want to see a huge crash at 130R, have a look at McNish's crash.

  • @agbugger ah yeah you're right, and yeah I remember Mcnish's crash on tv, scarily big.

  • Why did Alesi drive into Räikkönen?

  • @Apjooz he did not drive into him...he tried to dodge the wrecked sauber by the right side but raiko was too fast and he got caught.

  • @ursuss100

Just seemed really careless...like he didn't want to slow down at all, and then boom.

  • Blown engine?

  • @IRAGETooMuch nah, suspension failure on the Sauber. look closely the onboard cam, you will see the left rear wheel (on right of the screen) taking a bizarre angle during the corner.

  • @ursuss100 Oh right, it looked like the rear wheels locked and there were clouds of smoke following the car (but that was probably the gravel). Yeah, I see it though

  • the engine noises back then give me a hard one.

  • Man, those flying wheels are dangerous...arent they using theetering or whatever the call those attachments?

  • @avidal7 They did, but think about it, 140 mph crash Vs 8 1.5 cm thick tethers? I think crash wins.

  • alesi was a great great F1 driver

  • raikonen is a moron Alesi goes to him to ask if he was allright and he just look the other side stupid idiot jean alesi is a gentleman...

  • @MisteriesOfTheSpace dumb nut... Have you ever had a crash at 200+ kph? You're just shocked, even because it wasn't kimis fault, his rear wheel collapsed if you look close before the car begins to spin you can see it..

  • If these cars were 2011 IndyCars both drivers could have been incinerated. Safety in Formula One is high tech, now Indy better step it up to todays standands. As for AlcholicAllenRoger comments, well its a matter of time before he craps his liver down the toilet. Imagine having to live around a drunk.

  • @veo091 Modern IndyCars are actually pretty safe I think. An impact like this would have probably not looked very different if you ask me. I take it you're referring to the Dan Wheldon tragedy. Not the safety of the cars was the problem there, but rather the catch fence/track safety...and the fact that 30 cars are fighting over the same space.

  • @veo091 You are completly wrong. f1 cars are safe but they are not strong enough to race on the ovals. The designers of the cars say this themselves. Each car is designed differently. The accident that happened to DW was because of him htting the catch fencing even an F1 car would not have been able to save him.

  • If this crash had occured in the 1970's both drivers would have been hospitalised for months.

  • @AlcholicAlienRogerAD And by looking the comments you've left on various videos, you seem to be even bigger cunt.

  • @AlcholicAlienRogerAD fuck you idiot

  • I always liked Alesi

  • @nikopk85 if you think that that was avoidable, your grasp on physics is very poor.

  • @KieranRoberts23 Alesi was OFF THE TRACK when he hit Raikkonen...

  • @MetaKnightsKirby @SAINT6291 Well here's how I see it....Alesi is using pretty much 100% of his available friction on the tyres to make the turn. Kimi spins in front of him, and slows dramatically. So much so, that if Alesi continues with his racing line and pace, he will surely hit Kimi. So instead Alesi brakes, thereby devoting his available friction in the forward direction and making him unable to complete the turn. He then gets caught in Kimi's mess, because he has no where else to go.

  • @KieranRoberts23 ehem, I think it was avoidable too. been repeatedly playin the vedio again nd again. conclusion: Kimis car spun at the curve and slided away from the track into the dirt, if Alesi is not dumb, he shudda thot dat kimis car is sliding to the RIGHT then i must step on the brakes and go LEFT past Kimi.

  • Fucking hard...

  • Bad luck for Raikkonen as always in F1 unfortunately...nearly all his retirements were from car failures like this one...

  • Gosh I miss Jean... and those cars.... if only they had slicks, and today qualy rules... Sigh..

  • Alesi is a gentleman.

  • @BeckMax hes french mate!

  • @BeckMax Eddie Jordan made his usual cuntish thing by not signing Alesi for 2002

  • alesi was incredibly lucky!

kimis nose was doing some serious demolition@1:01!

  • seems that alesi's can be an example of target fixiation

  • tha moving wheel at 0:16 just tried to impress by putting itself back on the car

  • @MrSpiraklas hahaha!!!

  • 2001 = 10 years ago

  • shows how safe tracks and cars are today compared to 20 years ago

  • @SCOTTYHG1 lol 20 years ago ahahaha more like 10. And mind you, f1 in the 90's was A LOT better than this crap nowadays
