  • Very nice!

UNC Clefhangers have the best Hallelujah rendition to this date though.

  • love this style actually, personal preference

  • Perhaps we in Australia appreciate the singing of this beautiful song whether it done by professionals or amateur groups - just love any version of it

  • @mahone471 I recommend you to listen to the UNC Clefhangers rendition of Hallelujah, it's beautiful too. Their I tunes version is available and trust me, the recording is sublime.

  • Ehhh...left me feeling kind of sick. Weird...

  • Prefer the UNC Clehanger's version.

  • @josgvis best version i've ever heard

  • @imgointoprison Agree!

  • I absolutely LOVE the fact he says "you" rather than "ya."

  • sounds like stewie from family guy

  • I mean they can sing but this is supposed to be a gentle, down-to-earth song, and they just take it and make it classical. I mean they even change the "ya" to "you". Get real, singing isn't about everything being grammatically correct, it is about the expression. (of which there is none in this version)

  • Cela me rappelle lorsque nous avons chanté "Hallelujah" pour l'enterrement d'une amie de 17 ans...

  • too loud.. the virginia gentlemen's version is better!

  • too choral.... loosen up and then sing it.. sing it like you are walking in that room alone and you wanted to get something off your mind! Good talent just need to put some unorganized energy into it

  • why the FUCK does he have a microphone?

  • less lead, please.

  • I think this is gorgeous! Lead singer has an absolutely fantastic voice too.

  • put down the mike ffs, PUT DOWN THE MIKE; AND WALK AWAY SLOWLY!

  • OK for amateurs.

  • One black guy LOLZ

  • @hidokuson

Correction "One black guy in the Glee Club", not lots of people join the Glee Club.. And I'm surprised there's no women in the team. O_o

  • @JustANobodyz Harvard Glee Club is the men only group, there is a women's chorus as well and they mix to form a large chorus. This is the group run by the choral program, and there are other co-ed groups that are student run on campus.

  • @dracoslover123

Oh.. Thanks for clearing it up, I'm still pretty new with information on Acapella Groups and Glee Clubs, my school doesn't have one, but I brought it up at our Student Council meeting and we're thinking of forming one, I doubt we'll make it with two separate gender groups though.. xD

(Funny thing, I also just noticed the black guy at the far right side)

  • @JustANobodyz Not a problem. Just didn't want you to have the wrong impression. I've been studying up on Harvard's clubs because I hope to go there next year. That's awesome that you want to form a glee club at your school, but remember glee clubs like "Glee" and real glee clubs are really different things. "Glee" shows a glorified show choir, while real glee clubs often are set up like traditional choirs.

  • Hmmm, never heard it as a big solo instead of a partial solo. Also the guy on the the "Do do do do"s isn't doing a very good job.

  • being a choir person myself, i can say that this isn't perfect but it isn't horrible. as long as their is real emotion, it is great. It's unique and full of emotion, that's all that really matters. :) it was beautiful though, we're doing this song for my acapella choir :)

  • lol pourquoi etre habillés en pingouin , ils son geniaux dommage

  • @bullesdair C est l habit traditionnel ici aux USA pour les choeurs.

  • wow that guy is friggin awesome!

  • it's "ya" not "you"

  • I'm going to take this opportunity to ask the age old question, "What is GLEE?" ?=D?

  • it can be a gentle song but it is sung with great passion when its like this

  • ahhh... harvard, those were the days =)

  • Awesome. You guys should look up The Young Harris CollegeCompulsive Lyres singing Hallelujah.

  • wonderful!!

  • Ugh. Must use braun instead of brain. Har Har Har.

  • I think that if the quality of the video is better, they might sound more attractive...

I'm pretty sure they sounded amazing live:D

  • sorry i didnt like it!

  • Hah-ley-loo-yah

  • It drags and sounds like something you would here in a Las Vegas casino in 1950 in a small chapel for newlyweds and Elvis impersonators.

  • pretty good

  • i thought it was quite a good version.... check out my choirs version please :) comment too :)

  • This song is not meant to be performed with a suit on. The main reason I like the Jeff Buckley versoin better than Leonard Cohen's is because Jeff is much more raw about it. He lays it all out on the line. Visually, it is dressed up too much. Background is too church chorus.

  • i kinda like rufus wainwright;s version the best.

  • same here

  • I agree, even though I do like Jeff Buckley's arrangement.

  • Its Harvard, what do you expect? lol

  • hahahaha

  • I really don't like this version... sorry.

this is supposed to be a gentel song but the way they perform it you get kinda scared... maybe it's just the sound...

  • yes, it does come off a bit scary doesn't it...thats not supposed to happen..

  • @lisilein2 LMFAO !!!! It's supposed to scare you LMFAO LMFAO hahahah =D Awesome Comment

  • @juanmora19910209 even though I'm afraid this will sound even more stupid than my previous comment.... What do you mean with "it's supposed to scare you"?

  • @lisilein2 Because king david killed the husband of the women he felt inlove with? It nearly destroyed his relation with god, and he had to pay a high price. Just listen to the text of this song, and read the story king david.

  • @lisilein2 Sorry if it sounded rude. That wasn't my intention - maybe it is because of my bad english ^^

  • @natter83

:-) that's ok... after all I was the one who wrote explenation with an "e"... lol

  • thank you...

  • Wow, what an amazing voice. You gave me goosebumps!

  • A very nice performance. Superb delivery by the singer!

  • awesome... i thought nobody would come up with this song on Capella.... really glad you guys did....
