After i put the code in, it looks exactly like it does for you in Dreamweaver, but when i preview it in Firefox, everything is messed up. The grey box has become white, and has shrunk down to a smaller box. And the design of the page is also messed up. Do you know what the problem is?
@smithdennis4 what are you centering, the content inside of the iframe or the iframe itself? It its the iframe itself then center the frameholder and not the frame.

Are you really saying that you want the content that you are loading into the iframe to be centered? because otherwise you would just center the frameholder div. send me a PM with the link to the page and tell me exactly what youre trying to do and ill give you the code changes.
Hi James - LOVE your lessons! Question -- I am TRYING to add a streaming video file I have stoed on VIMEO and the embedded code IS an IFRAME related insert. My current (working) video - is under a Spry Dropdown which opens into the video (MP4) successfully to be played. The VIMEO Iframe I am told to use doesn't work. Can you offer any guidance on how to use VIMEO Iframe Embedded source when using a SPRY DropDown???
@Gothtecdotcom Hi this is an iframe tutorial but what you need is a 'frame' so if you go to File > New and select 'page from sample' it will give you all sorts of options to choose the correct frame structure. - James
Hi James, I've got CS3. Can you tell me how to get the Design view BELOW the CSS code. I can get it below the HTML code obviously, but if I'm changing the CSS code I have to go back to HTML view to see Design View. I notice that you have your Design View below the CSS code. How can I get this , or is it not possible in CS3? Thanks
@mstuie there are many reasons for iframes. you may want to display an advert on multiple pages which you can update in one swoop, you may want to override existing styles. Or you may not have the time to code it again after making a tutorial so instead reference the page as i did. it saved me half an hour and my style sheet is still minimal. And its important people know how to use iframes for my next tutorial.

[box (or iframe) that holds a flash swf that changes when a button above is pressed]

Why dont just code it in where you want instead of using Iframe which is complicated
