Wait, wait, wait... So you're telling me that I you are supposed to collect some kind of stars to complete the game, yet I completed the game without a clue that you needed to collect stars?
i doubt this is the "without star" ending, i tried the best i could, no matter how perfect my run is one of the 2 green plant is blocking me just before the ceiling light/chandelier goes down. I just can't meet the princess.
if you look, in the opening credits (Or something like that, i haven't actually played the game) but there is a quote from the creator of the atomic bomb, it's a metaphor for how people who have done awful things wish they could turn back time, i'm guessing this has something to do with the normal ending involcing the princess escaping... so maybe you regret catching her and "saving" her?
Thanks to that tip, I got to the lamp after 15 minutes of figuring out where I can max my speed. I jump on, and forgot to hold up, so I'm on the ground without being able to rewind
@TheVercci first make sure you made it to the ladder in time, the shot before the one you need to jump over should go in the cannon as you reach the ladder, if it goes in before you reach the ladder rewind and try again. i had problems with the ladder as well first off you need good timing you have to climb down the ladder for just and instant and press jump to drop. i didn't have luck using the left key to drop, you have to make sure you fall strait down, if you hit the wall it wont work

Amazing. I commend you on this, but the time and effort taken in mastering the game like such and figuring this out makes you akin to Tim in his unhealthy obsession for reaching the princess (ala the alternative ending), does it not? :P

well you really dont need the stars (but if you collect 7 of them (the eight one is in braid level) its more easy)
without stars is more tricky and you get the normal ending, the stars are a bonus for true adventurers

@TheVercci first make sure you made it to the ladder in time, the shot before the one you need to jump over should go in the cannon as you reach the ladder, if it goes in before you reach the ladder rewind and try again. i had problems with the ladder as well first off you need good timing you have to climb down the ladder for just and instant and press jump to drop. i didn't have luck using the left key to drop, you have to make sure you fall strait down, if you hit the wall it wont work

this method is just awesome haha but watch out for the obssession or u will split earth into half in the future!!!!

@koy682 No, you will be able. The result is the same, as after the ordinary alternative ending. (I mean, if you collect stars)
