I Love the entire album this song is from. God speaks strongly through each song if one takes the time to study the lyrics. i love the lack of distracting pictures in this vid!! Really amazing song. I'm just a little disappointed that you cut off the instrumental ending to the song. I find it nearly as powerful as the rest of the song, with the lyrics still fresh in my mind; filled with pain until it changes to a softer key, like the healing touch of Father God right at the end!^^
I enjoyed the way you did your video. Good to be able to concentrate on the words and not be distracted by anything. I read the backstory about this song on Matt Maher's site and that leads me to believe that the words in the chorus are "all along" instead of "alone" - after the line " You were on the cross, my God, my God"....thought I'd let you know. Thanks.
Amazing song.. -3 my life is feeling kind of lost and confused right now. I hope to find my faith and I know God is always right next to me on the cross.
Basically the story of how I came to Christ... My life was lost broken and confused. Wreaked with depression and suicidal thoughts. I was raised Catholic but became an atheist because I thought I couldn't believe there was a God with all my suffering. Always asking where he was if he actually existed. But he was there. On that cross. Right by my side. When i finally counted to cost of following Him, I surrendered. Praise the King of Kings. The Healer of my Life.
I like this video better than the ones with the gooky pictures of Jesus.
Maher seems to have a healthy perspective on suffering: You aint gonna escape it, but you aint goin no-where but Jesus has already been there (on the cross), and walks through it by your side. What is God like? want to see a picture of our Lord?:

Excellent video and very powerful, the perfect way to showcase this song.
Seeing the images from Haiti this week keeps bringing this song into my head.
