Your best option would be to choose 1 style and become a master at it a true hanshi (grandmaster) then do other styles after if u so decide and be good a them but make ur first choice ur deadliest style.I myself am a practisioner of Wado- Ryu karate and am a blue belt going for my purple and i havent failed a grading yet but you have to find a style that suits you not choose it cause its there

I've worked with professional movie cameras, I've seen footage of Bruce Lee moving too fast for the camera shutter. NO OTHER martial artist did that.
@vandumbass You don't know a damn thing. An American movie camera shoot 24fps, frames per second. If your motion is blurred, then you've been caught by some of those frames. If you're motion is blurred and nearly invisible, then you're moving faster than the camera capture your image.

The problem with the classical martial arts is that it isnt effective. They are not simple, direct, or efficeint at all when it comes down to fighting as it is. The problem with the classical martial arts is that it isnt effective. They are not simple, direct, or efficeint at all when it comes down to fighting as it is. Bruce Lee is awesome for his time but against today's fighters like Silva and Fedor, he'll lose. Chinese people can't seem to accept this because they are delusional when it comes to fighting and kung fu. I've seen some kung fu movies that have people flying from rooftops to rooftops and shooting lasers from their fingertips.LOL.

@excthour 2 things: 1) you don't know that because there are no guarantees or rules in an actual no holds barred fight. I'm not saying Silva or Fedor Can't win but Bruce would have the upper hand, though, for reasons i won't bother to list. 2) you can't say the Chinese are delusional without saying that about everyone else because the techniques taught are premeditated set in preset situations. and fyi the flying from buildings and shooting lasers thing, its a little thing called entertainment.

It is a whole different time now and Bruce would have never competed in MMA or UFC because Bruce always said, in a real fight, there are no rules. Yes, I read about Bruce taking steroids in an Karate/MMA magazine. Also Bruce liked Marihuana and took pills to rest and stuff.

@vandumbass He did drugs, but he didn't use steroids. This was before steroids came into vogue. He became arrogant because of his success in film, but he did fight quite a few challenges tossed in his direction, even on the set. You can also look at footage of his demonstrations as well.

You can fell a man in one hit if you hit him at certain places. Its forbiten to hit those places in MMA. So Large kind of people fighting close quarters win in this kind of fighting.

No elbows here, no kicks to the head when the opponent is down, no punches to the back of the head, etc. That's part of the reason would have liked to see Bruce fight out on the street or even any other good martial artist; because you never see any Karate/Kung Fu stuff in a cage. And I really want to see that kind of style used effectively against a MMA fighter.
