@jirishboy Well here is an interesting story, my little brother who was always made fun of because of his height back in the day...it was his life, everything he did was relating to his height.

When he was around 16 years old, he stopped worrying about his height and just focused on life, fast forward, he is 17, still he was around 5'5 at this point, quite short for one that loves basketball etc...

Fast forward another year, 18ys, 5'7, 19yrs, 5'9, 20yrs, 5'11....

21, he is still at 5'11.

@jirishboy I think that the mere fact that you believe that it is "a bit hard to swallow" would already make it impossible for you to accomplish. You are already incapable of believing it, so how could it ever be possible? It's a tricky thing to fully believe in and as such, it's a tricky thing to put into play - any time an individual is presented with an impossible/unmanageable task or with an unbelievable scenario it is always the case that the individual is the one that makes it that way.

@jirishboy1 Hey there brother. Think of an army program - There is a fine line between "I'll try, sir" and "I'll do it, sir" and that fine line is the difference between failing and succeeding. Any step towards your own success in any endeavor is marked by you and your mental state. I am not actually saying that if you believe earnestly enough, you could re-create the Twin Towers - I'm saying that if you _were_ to re-create them, your journey would begin with you believing that you could.;).

@DDSnags I have no doubt that a positive attitude, belief in yourself, preparation, etc., are more likely to bring about a desired outcome, but IMHO, this is not a metaphysical principle. Rather, it's simply the conjunction of preparation and opportunity...and there still are no guarantees of success or achievement. Again, just my opinion, but I think this whole "Law of Attraction" dynamic is a bit oversold. But hey, if it works for you then who am I to argue?.

I see your point but we must start with ourselves before we can be of any service to another. We have to be living testaments of our enlightment. That light will shine directly or indirectly and it all comes together. I believe that when you attempt to serve others and havent adjusted or changed yourself is why so many spiritual leaders are seen as hypocrites. Those who cant do...teach!

Wow a "Rev." said this stuff. Sounds more like a spiritualist than a preacher. I don't mean that in a nice way. Where is Jesus, the bible, or the word of God fit in with these sayings?
