He's very quick. Another thing Tyson had is counter punching. George's wide swings would leave him open for a flurry of shots and get Koed.

Foreman would own Tyson. Tyson could hit Foreman with all his hardest shots,and Forman would just smile at Mike Tyson like thats all you got. He took All of Evanders shots pretty good,and even Evander Couldn't believe at all the shots he threw at Foreman and the man just kept coming at him. Tyson would get Ko'd end of story.

Ah let's see... Big George had only 5 career losses and 69 knockouts (that is a staggering number if you'd like to compare to other fighters). Tyson whipped some some guys in the 80s but that was all she wrote, he could not get off on legit heavyweights like Holyfield or Lewis. Foreman excelled against smaller fighters who moved forward (Frazier). Verdict = Foreman.

@veeseee128 Not true,Tyson had the speed in his short prime of 86-88,to give ali or clay problems.ALi had problems with every short fighter who had relentlessness and awkwardness at the same time.The tyson who lost to douglas was disinterested in fighting or training anymore.It was a different tyson after 1988.You can't judge tyson on his losses after 89.

What would be the zenith of Mikes career,the fight that propelled him into being an all time great rather than the most entertaining heavyweight of all time? He certainly beat a lot of very good boxers and a 40 year old Holmes. According to Dundee Foreman would have knocked Mike out as George was devastating against shorter guys.

Yeah that would be a good one too. if i remember correctly Shavers hit so hard he even had to replace one of his gloves one time....now thats a punch. that one would be hard to call, Tyson's chin wasn't the best, he never got up from the canvas, when he was put down he was down for good, i think his speed would probably give him the upper hand though, but all it takes is one punch to end the fight.

@MrSunnydisposition good point...its just tough to compare when the time period is different...The caliber of fighters Ali fought were the best of "his" time...same with tyson. who knows how any one of those guys would stack up against each other. Ali was so fast and fluid with his movements, but tyson was fast to and undoubtedly more powerful....it would have been a great bout.

@tido1691 Lewis said in a post fight interview that he wanted no part of tyson at 19 yrs old and said "tyson was an animal".Thats why lewis joined the olympics to avoid tyson.Not many know this fact.But a totally surviving lewis in his prime might have lasted 12 and won a split decision on a prime tyson.Wish those others were around when tyson fought and trained his best 86-88.

Foreman is so slow and telegraphs his punches so much that he would neevr even land a clean shot. Unlike Farzier, Tyson had very speedy and slick upper body movement. Fazier's defense was to bob and weave and then, once inside, let someone pound on his head until they got tired. That's why Foreman beat his brains in. Tyson doesn't just stand and take shots. He's very quick. Another thing Tyson had is counter punching. George's wide swings would leave him open for a flurry of shots and get Koed.

@Rockyfan10060 when foreman came out of retirement and had his comeback the powers that be tried to get a foreman /tyson bout in the works. it never happened because the word out of tysons camp was that he was terrified by the thought of fighting foreman.you obviously havent seen early foreman fights. he wasnt that slow. check out foreman/ frasier 1. thats what would have happened to tyson if he had fought foreman.oliver mccall fought both and said foremans punchs were way harder than tysons.
