Breakdown bands have single-handedly ruined the state of metal and hardcore. Throwdown is a joke. There are only like 5 good bands left in this genre. I'm a metal-head at heart, it sucks I don't have any more good metal/hardcore to listen to.

I have to say... you're unbelievably wrong! Beatdowns and Breakdowns are THE best thing to happen to metal since the invention of the double bass drum peddle! It's much more intense, in your face and reflects what metal and hardcore are all about!

I have to say your not getting it. Breakdowns are an essential part to most metal songs, yes, but only when the entire song isn't a breakdown. Throwdown is engineered not to make good music, but to get people to swing fists. I think also in that respect, they fail. There's no soul behind it, just slam-dancing. Who respects that? It's cheesy, stale, and no true metal/hardcore fan would get into that gimmick. Also it's double bass PEDAL, not peddle. People started using 2 bass drums first.
