I prefer the ears large and floppy because they match the large and floppy personality of these great dogs. My Great Dane died about 3 years ago now, I'm ready for another.

Cropping ears and docking tails is very controversial and with good reason. It's completely unnecessary and the reason it was originally done on Danes is because they were bred in Germany to hunt boars, and cropped ears reduced the chance of injury to the ears during hunting. There's no reason for it anymore and I wish people would stop. Danes have naturally floppy ears and they should stay that way.
WRONG. Boxers NEED tail cropping because it's very bad for their spines since they have so much muscle. Ear cropping is unnecessary, but some dogs it does them justice if their ears are too heavy to lift to hear. Which is why ear cropping came about.

The breeder I bought my harlequin from said she crops all her pups ears- but I didn't and I'm glad :) He' such a cute puppy! He's taller than me and he's only 9.5 months old!

My parents butchered my penis. I don't remember if it hurt but I'm glad I had it done. Both of my Danes ears are Cropped and they look awesome. I have a black female and a blue male.

What a beautiful boy and a good name. You must be very proud. Not sure about the cropped ears either, I like the silky, soft feel of floppy ones. He is gorgeous and looks such a softy... give him a big huggie from me.
