You do know that there is a difference between ballistics gel, and gelatin. It has to do with the water to Know ratio. If you used the instructions commonly found for mixing unflavored gelatin, then you made gelatin, not ballistics gel. I doubt real ballistics gel would be penetrated that much by a pellet gun 7 feet away.
