The Young Turks deserve a wider audience, for sure, but this movie review, to use the term loosely, should be discreetly buried deep into the archives. Stick to political commentary, guys, your forte.
I thought No Country For Old Men was a bit overrated. I mean it builds all this action and tension and then releases it in the most anti-climactic way possible, and then just drags on and ends in the least conclusive way possible.
If you want conclusive endings, tied up in neat ribbons, Hollywood churns those out by the truckload. No Country's resolution is more like life: you really don't know where, when or how it's going to end. The Coen Brothers are masters. You don't think they could have swung a pat ending? The movie's end, especially if you're 50, like I am, really spoke to me, especially after thinking it over after leaving the theater. Film climaxes are artificial, escapist drivel.

Juno was too cool for it's own good. I'm guessing Cenk liked it's because Ellen Page is overly sarcastic and totally judgmental.

i wouldn't say movie of the year, but one of the best chick flicks ever for sure.

What the fuck was Cenk thinking? Juno was horrible.
And I'm not just trying to slam the movie, it was just unrealistically happy and go-lucky for a teen pregnancy story.

Juno ruled. If the up and coming generation is anything like "junebug" then I have hope.
