His mind was elsewhere, but I don't think the national championship game. Lloyd Carr had already retired and Michigan was looking for a new coach. Rich Rodriguez wasn't going to stick around for the NC game. If it was, he'd have stayed to see West Virginia spank the Sooners, something everyone thought would go the other way because of the coach situation. I think that Bill Stewart will do a good job with West Virginia, though. But we will see.

If your sticking up for Rich which I think you are, you have no idea about what a true coach is suppose to be. They sure are not suppose to turn their back on their fans just because they lost one important game.
