  • Every great major league hitter no matter what he looks like standing there prior to the pitch coming in, gets to the launch position with his bat prior to swing (no exceptions) with the bat at a 45 degree angle. His bat is straight up and down prior to his swing. Unless he corrects this he will be a below average to average hitter at best.

  • @Baileywick55 Agree. It's much harder to initiate momentum and centrifugal force that whips the bat head around if you don't get the bat to that angle. You end up either trying to "muscle" the swing or over-rotating your torso too early, thus minimizing power and possibly taking you off the plane of the pitch.

  • cant wait til he starts to be able to hit pro pitching consistantly

  • Just got called up! Starting in CF for the Angels!!!

  • Heard this guy can fly on the basepaths as well as run 'em down in CF with the best of 'em. Future lead-off man for the Halos if he keeps working on his plate discipline...
