  • I remember when i was 3, I'd be in the car with my mom and I always made my mom play this song over and over again. I miss being a toddler. Those were the good times. ♥

  • @rebuitlcypher yeah, i didn't care for the game. I just liked the videos!

  • This video was on an old Playstation game But i have no idea witch onw. Anyone know??

  • @rebuiltcypher the game was called ''SlamScape'' was for ps1 and pc

  • @jmcmurtry84 I have this game, but sadly it's region locked to the UK and won't play on my PS1 :(

    Love GLU.

  • Agree with the other sentiments. Soundtrack to my early 20s. I dont think this is considered industrial but most label it as "Coldwave". Regardless of how you decide to label it... its just damn good music. Thanks for all the great tunes. I remember the day you passed David...

  • @prammaven Herp derp. Yeah, David.

  • 90 s we miss u a lot....were good bands still made great music

  • Totally unique sound. Nothing before or since has really sounded like GLU did. RIP Robert, you brought us something truly unique, and that's almost a miracle in the music world.

  • @Dorelaxen I think you mean RIP David, as in David Reilly...

  • Wow...I LOVE this song! So many memories!!!

  • love this band, saw them at coney island high in like 96! 200 people capacity? packed! one of the best shows i ever saw!

  • great song. great album.

  • great old stuff!

  • damn. blast from the past.....

  • Greatmusicimo

  • It's so nice to see that there are a few out there that remember this music and that time in culture. I don't feel so old at 29.

  • They were so great in concert back in the 90's. I really miss that time in my life.

  • I had these guys and fugazi on a mixed tape when I was in grade school, this song and fugazis "waiting room" use to get me pumped, still kind of do.

  • this came out when i was in my late teens into my '20's...but i still know great music when i hear it...nothing has been the same since the 90's...wtf?...good music just fell off the face of the earth...this is the only place we can come and re-live our past...such a shame that we've lost so many great singers...

  • damn your dead brother wtf i loved your singing

  • badass song

  • Perfect....one of my all time favorite songs.

  • My sister's ex boyfriend (back in 1995 when she was 14 and I was 9) was big into this band and gave us a cassette that had All Wrong, Fool, and Nothing on it. Until 2005 those were the only songs I really knew by them as I never ventured more into their catalog until 2005 when I heard that David died. Such a great band that deserved more popularity. Basically no one else I know has ever heard of them.

  • saw them back in Atlanta Georgia years ago...incredible!!! Tragic about David.

  • Great band, great song. Dig it brotha!

  • R.I.P Dude We love ya!!!

  • Feel ya on that empty is such a great album

  • right there with ya convicsik

  • David Reilly was truly an innovative artist who helped to alter the punk genre into a more hypnotizing form of music that will appeal to every generation from here on out at some point in their musical journeys of evolutionary taste and preference.

  • I just heard how David Reilly died (tooth abscess). I have a cracked tooth, Im going to the dentist as soon as I get a chance; insurance or not. Scary.

  • Great song!!

  • Comment removed

  • Are all of you aware what a badass band this was? Props!

  • Wish you were still here, Dave! You expressed so much of my emotions with your music! RIP David!

  • hahaha I used to love this song. I think I had issues!!

  • you still do... you just looked it up... btw it was called angst!

  • ohh y goddddddddd i used to love this songgggg welll i still do

  • F*ckin badass!!

  • totally... sound track of my youth, saw them with econoline crush and stabbing westward, one of the best shows ever.....

  • I am totally bummed...I bought two albums some fifteen years ago and have loved them....I had no idea that David had died.......so sorry, so sad......great sound, great voice....God speed David, God speed........

  • @asherbdurand : They released a third album, "Up off the Floor". It's on iTunes. check it out

  • This song here has to be one of my favorites out of all the ones I listened to back in 95. It was good times then..

  • Damn I love this band.

Makes me sad that I did not grow up in the 90s...

  • this song is badass

  • good song but the others...

  • first time Ive heard them, I like them

  • love this song!!!!

  • GLU , the soundtrack to my teenage years, god I miss them.

  • Same here. Bought the album totally based on the cover art. One of my favorite bands still......10 years later :) good times when GLU was on the radio

  • but there GONE FOREVER AHAHAHAHAHA

  • @convicsik me too, me too... RIP David, and thank you.

  • @convicsik dude im taking lessons from their drummer, adam. he owns a music shop where i live

  • @convicsik

    Stole the words from me.

  • @convicsik LOL I'm old too...still a great band

  • lucky bastard, wish i was a teenager in the 90's when music was good, but im stuck with all this Lady Ga Ga Lil Wayne fucking emo scene bull shit.

but i am glad my first 7 years of life were in the 90's.

  • GLU- Way ahead of their time.

  • <3 I miss you David, where ever you are now. Thank you.

  • Great band, unique sound, and no, they're not industrial. Neither is NIN, really. True industrial is more mechanical and dissonant, such as Throbbing Gristle, Nurse With Wound, or even alot of the music you hear in the Silent Hill games. It's all good sound, IMO.

  • NIN is considered industrial

  • @777Ambivalence777 don't forget coil...lol

  • @777Ambivalence777 oh wtf, NIN (in the 'heyday') IS - 'really'- Industrial. "True Industrial"(?) how old are u? how much music have you explored? whatever....

  • this changed my taste in music......and well now we got Linkin Park........haha!

  • I can't believe I just now found out that David died. Discovering GLU in the mid-90s completely changed my musical tastes, my friends and I were obsessed with them, saw them live several times. I still have yet to hear such an interesting unique industrial rock sound from any other band since.

Does anyone know where I can find info on how they got their sound? Especially that electro-guitar sound on the first EP and 'Empty'.

RIP David, thank you for changing my life with your amazing art.

  • ummm, shadow11781, industrial is something COMPLETELY different than "a blend of rock and techno". study up buddy, google is your friend. (unless your a sexual deviant, haha).

  • Spot on, bro. I reckon our friend shadow needs to hear some Neubauten. Fire up them pneumatic drills.

The guitars on this song are pretty sick but I can't stand the vocals...sorry :(

  • This video gives me an idea for an invention... Black Light Glasses! There's gotta be some way to make that work... If you make them, give some credit and a pair to me, Steve Dude!

  • Thank you for uploading this fiveliter... this is silvercrank from the enjoyglu boards. hope you're doing well!

  • An amazing yet underrated band!! Such a skillful blend of rock and techno has never been duplicated with the same beautiful results!! WE MISS YOU DAVE!

  • you do realise theres a WHOLE GENRE OF IT DONT YOU? its called industrial

  • Sure but GLU did it totally there own way. Not trying to cashin/copy NIN like stabbing westward etc etc... A pretty unique sound and totally uniquely talented guys. RIP Dave.

  • its like stepping into a time machine and being 19 again. mid 90s rocked!

  • just simply allsome! great band! this is music

  • thank god for youtube. i've been looking for this song for years.

i remembering growing up and listening to this song all the time on KDF out of Nashville. such a badass song.

  • I love this band and I have no clue how you guys can remember the 90's. I get glimpses of memories in music and such otherwise the 90's are like 20 minutes long....the whole decade.

  • jasinpalmer: i remember the 90's very well, of course i don't do drugs either.

  • The way I got into this band is that my brother and dad are both called David Reilly and I googled their name.

  • Brings back so many memories from the 90's.. There wasnt anyone in my hometown that had even ever heard this band.. It's good to see some other ppl with the same love for this song.

  • Glad I got to see these guys in Philly once. Love this CD. I'm gonna have to dig it back out again... haven't listened to it forever

  • Band member David Reilly died in his sleep on the morning of October 16, 2005 from complications of a coma brought on by bleeding, as a result of tooth infection He was 34 years old.

    RIP. see you soon Dave.

  • one of my favorite songs ever

  • Love this song, LOVE the Band more.

  • hehe, yea seafoam, Isaw them at that TLA show on south street in Philly also. I met him after the show in the tour bus out front. They opened for Space Hog that night. :)

  • fucking love this tune!!

  • fuck my job!!!! they can shit in their hats!!! lol

  • i saw these guys in boston with 311 and lords of acid. they rocked. and also xanax is not just as bad as crack and shit. i used to get 60 2mg bars a pop. they dont make em any stronger than that

  • Wow! I haven't seen this video in over a decade! I loved GLU! This is bringing back memories of being a teenager in the 90's! And I'm from Philly... and I can remember thinking it was so cool that GLU was from Philly as well. I actually got to meet David before a show at the TLA back in 98'ish... hard to believe he's gone now. Such a loss. RIP.

  • It' pretty cool to know that people feel the same way about songs like this.

  • This was one of the videos that got me into making music - I remember as a teenager in the early 1990s living in the middle of nowhere, Massachusetts and trying to pull in a decent picture on RAGE TV early in the morning with some cheap rabbit-ear antenna. This video came on and I thought "OH WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!"

  • FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!

    RIP David

    We miss you :(

  • LOL Lansdale

  • I first saw this video on an old Playstation video game I had produced by MTV. To this day I have no idea wtf the game was or what was even the point. I think it had something to do with virtual reality and inbetween levels you could watch music videos. lol

  • yea i actually owned that game. it was called slamscape and it was some trippy shit

  • lol i remember that game, it was so f-ing hard

  • i was watching no more love and i read david died. this turns a quite disgusting day into an horrible one.

  • one of the best bands ever they were so different, too bad the singer passed away. These guys are a big influence on me

  • holy fuck, I had no idea he died, fuck.

  • How?

  • Band member David Reilly died in his sleep on the morning of October 17, 2005 from complications of a coma brought on by bleeding, as a result of tooth infection. He was 34 years old.

"here i am. my anger and me."

    RIP David.

  • An ex-girlfriend of mine was actually friends with this guy. She said he called her one day saying that his girlfriend had died. Apparently David was withdrawing from heroin and sent his late girlfriend into Philadelphia to get some. On her way home she fell onto a subway track and was run over.

She said David talked to her all day about it until he died. One of the things he told her was that he was given a prescription of Xanax after his girlfriend's death (90 of them) and took all within..

  • ...something like 3 or 4 days. This was just before his death. Anyone who's even been prescribed Xanax will realize how much that is to take in such a short period of time.

    So sad.

  • Benzodiazapines like Xanax are terrible drugs - these "safe" prescription sleep aids are truly as evil as meth or crack. Why do doctors give out _90_ of them at at time? Oh, that's right, gigantic profits for drug companies.

  • This is my one and only, ever, YouTube comment:

I saw these guys when I was 15 years old, in 1995, at "The Edge of the Cumberland" in Nashville, TN. I actually remember speaking to the lead singer (don't remember his name), and told him that I was trying to put together a little industrial project of my own. He simply said, "Call it 13, when you make your band, because that way I'll know it's you." One of the nicer/cooler people that I've ever spoken with, and a sincere guy.

  • that's too cool. i saw them 3 years later at Nashville Riverstages, touring for "Life in the So-Called Space Age."

  • I *almost* missed them at Riverstages '98. What I got to see was freakin' AWESOME, though.

  • Cool, I went there too in 1995 I was 21 then.

Awesome show, great line up too. The Lounge Flounders, God Lives Underwater, The Nixons and The Toadies.

  • wow, you guys are all from my neck of the woods, around the same time... I was @ MTSU from 1995-1998 & absolutely love these guys. I now work in Murfreesboro.

  • They had like three videos including this one in a videogame for the ps1 way back when, the game was called slamscape. The game sucked really bad but it was all good considering that they had some part in it hahaha.

  • Fuckin' a. This makes me feel old. Saw these guys open for Ministry at the Electric Factory in Philly back in - 98 / 99? I just NOW learned of Dave's death even though I lost track of them after their first few albums. Great band - never got enough play.

Late 90's had the best shit - industrial still kicks all ass. Try to pass this shit off now adays and it's a bunch of pansies playing lame rock. GLU knew how to do it right...

  • I agree with the comment below. I feel lucky that I got to see GLU at Birch Hill in Old Bridge NJ back in like.. 1995 or 1996. RIP David.

  • is the Birch Hill still there? I remember seeing Fear Factory there in 95, Clutch there in 96 and Slayer there in 98. Then I moved to California....that was a great club when I was a teenager.

  • no, townhouses now. what a shame.

  • Rip Dave ...

GLU was, is and always will be my favorite band of all time. Their music got me through my teen years like they were writing the songs about me and for me. I've never connected with a band or songs the way I will with GLU. Its such a shame that I never got to see them live, but their music will live with me forever.

  • Does anyone know what happened to Dave's Buzzy?

  • i have a picture of ihm with it, that i wanted to send to his sister. i lost the disk that the picture was stored on. i'm hoping i find it. i don't know where buzzy is though. :(

  • first time I heard this....my ex put it on and stared at me.

    HER way of breaking up.

    I loved that cunt.

    You out there, Erin?

  • got to see these guys around 1995 or so in a little place with all these dorky preps hanging out at this club. there was only about 20-30 of us, but we were SLAMMING in that little ass pit not giving a DAMN for all the true freaks w/ their budweisers and their little buttoned up pink polo shirts. LMFAO@THEM!!!! that's terrible what happened w/ David, i listen to their stuff all the time still, but never knew... RIP.

  • David Reilly died unexpectedly at 5:15am on October 17, 2005 from complications of a coma brought on by pain medication for an abscessed tooth[1]. He was 34 years old...

my friend jeremiah's brother was in this band...

    :( RIP...

  • Stabbing Westward

  • RIP DAVE

  • How exactly did he die? I just found out.

  • RIP brother

  • Miss ya, David Reilly.

  • So THATS what they look like... I never seen their videos till now. And I LOVED this album! I didn't know David Reilly died...damn...

  • Just found out about David...2 years later. Breaks my heart. I loved these guys.

  • I miss the nineties, it was a much less complcated time than now. It had all of the lenient laws of today, without any post 9-11 bullshit.

  • yeah shitty video. But it's not the bands fault. Still a great song.

  • Dave came to my house a few years back, he was friends with my brother and his friend from the band drop kick jesus. we had a bbq and he was a real down to earth cool guy. It's too bad he died, i remember the night he died cause my brother called me up and told me. Nickleback fuckin blows! how could you compare GLU to nickleback, their a bunch of no talent ass clowns. Gravity kills is good though

  • I happen to love this song very much. I never saw the video.. not too impressed I must say.. but I still love the song!

  • No kidding. my names david reilly from ireland and i checked to see whos famous wit same name. it was total bummer when i found out he died of tooth infection but still cool hes in a band thats not half bad

  • It's classic, but its still very generic. I mean, come on! It's Nickelback without the back. Anyone who understands music understands the structure put into this song. We have heard this all before.

  • Nickelback? What the hell is the matter with you? Nickelback is TERRIBLE!

  • Yes, and so is this video. It's Faith no More without the faith. Is that better?

  • Nickelback??? Wtf... Nickleback is music for trailor trash redneck hicks. There is no ELECTRONICS in Nickleback... atleast GLU had susbstance.

  • Los mejores, los precusores...the best and the precursers of mainstream bands like linkin park and the rest.....

  • This band is A LOT like Gravity Kills!

  • AIDS killed him!?

  • ummm, no! asshole.. keep reading...

  • Not aids, it was a coma... Jesus.

  • Take a look at what you just wrote, and you'll find you are so wrong (on both levels!)

    GLU = Awesome

  • glu = generic industrial rock

  • nope. listen to anything after Empty and you will rethink that statement. GLU-having to nearly drown to find life's true meaning

  • this song is just a song that will stay with me forever.. no idea why.

  • One of the few bands that REALLY rocked in the 90s. It's sort of funky, but I like it. RIP, David Reilly (5/7/1971-10/17/2005).

  • Yes, David Reilly will be deeply missed. His musical genius and talent were hidden treasures of the last decade.

    Thanks for posting these videos.

  • First GLU song I heard, was a fan ever since. It's a very eerie video knowing that he's not on this plane of existence anymore. R.I.P. David

  • David was a musical genius as far as I'm concerned. I was blown away when I read about his death. Thanks for posting these vids and helping to keep David's memory alive!

  • My 2nd fave song by them, thanks for uploading this stuff!!

  • what happened to these guys, they were my fave....are they still around?

  • David Reilly died in 2005 and Jeff Turzo is in a band called Wired All Wrong

  • I remeber owning this c.d., right after it came out. I had heard this song on the radio, & @ the time was listening to not much variety of music other than NIN. I was happy to hear a band who struck the same chord w/me as Trent did. But I lost the c.d. years ago, & was happy to find all these vids. on this site. But I had no idea David died...how did it happen?

  • David Reilly died unexpectedly at 5:15am on October 17, 2005 from complications of a coma brought on by pain medication for an abscessed tooth. He was 34 years old.

  • Damn, that's horrible. In the last few years I've had way to many friends die from overdoses. And, one year ago this month, my father died from an overdose of opiate pain meds, and alcohol. Fucking opioids, kill more people I've known than all the other drugs combined! Thanks for the reply, though...

  • david passed away last yr... he was one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world...

  • So ive read about GLUW and on their sits its no memtioned that he passed away.. my cousin and step brothers band Jokob opened for them in Tulsa a long time ago but i got to meet them it was a great show.
