Is it true that Joe either didn't play on or was heavily supported by a studio guitarist on the first album? I've heard several people in the music business say that it's widely known that Perry wasn't up to scratch, skill-wise, and his parts had to be overdubbed by a professional. I don't really believe it.
@HuntersMoon73 the only album that I'm aware of that had studio guitarists is "Get Your Wings". Only a few songs though, not the whole album. The amazing guitar solos on "Train Kept a Rollin" are played by Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter. imo these two blew EVERYONE away, they were head and shoulders above just about all other guitar players of the time and the song clearly shows that. All other aerosmith songs are Perry and Whitford. btw it's a fake live audience in TKaR.
i don't even like dream on that much... i just don't . i don't see why it's such a huge hit. oh and another thing- how do you know how to skip to a song on an LP?
just push play is in beyond beautiful... and that song isn't exactly pop. i don't wanna miss a thing maybe. but the just push play album isn't hard rock, maybe pop/rock.
Lol, I was just naming pop songs that aerosmith have, the guy is trying to say Aerosmith is still as hard rocking as they were from their rocks album. I meen, come on.
Yes chain reaction had the beatles style of music. But did Aerosmith have that style? Or did they have they have a more hard rocking style like the who or the stones?
And the stones was one of their main influences.
And the steven tyler biography is practically the aerosmith biography. Most information is about Aerosmith
man, i know, but the stones isn't one of their main influences, in the school were two rival bands, one had the stones style and tyler's band had the beatles style, in chain reaction singles u can hear the beatles influence.
My favourite Aerosmith Album.

it's just retarded, the people didn't say stones copy because of the music, was because tyler looks liek jagger and joe like keith.
sueellen360 2 years ago
Um stones not one of their musical influence? Are you fucken serious?
I said that because walkin the dog was also done by the stones. Ans steven tyler said he liked that version of it alot. Jeez

I'm serious, aerosmith were influenced are the beatles, led zeppelin, the yardbirds and fleetwood mac, some other bands too but never the stones.
