  • he never kicked it in the actual film in 1972

  • I dont get it.. So in "Fist of Fury" Bruce Lee doesnt play Bruce Lee?

  • @Azulreddevil4 In fist of fury Bruce Lee plays Chen Chen, AKA Chen Zhen as Donnie Yen in Legend of the Fist and Jet Li in Fist of Legend.

  • He was acting..not copying him would be retarded.

  • Danny Chan K.K. is = Bruce Lee 2,he = will be the successor of Bruce Lee's JEET KUNE DO!! He is the true JKD martial arts artist !! He is the ACTOR that really suitable to act as BRUCE LEE !!

    陈国坤 = 李小龙2, 陈国坤 = 李小龙的截拳道的領悟之人,真正截拳道的武术高手!! 真实适当演李小龙的演员!!

  • well no one can represent correctly to Bruce Lee ,,, Bruce Lee is unique ...

  • This is terrible and embarrassing. Why do they keep trying to re-create him. Bruce doesn't need a tribute. He's a legend and everybody knows it already. Lee was so far out there, no one can even come close to representing him. They just make a fool out of themselves! Sorry.

  • Yeah...kinda hard to make a movie honoring a man if you don't act like him...

  • is not real scene of fist of fury and the double of bruce lee

  • He is too thin believe it or not. You can tell that he does not have a lot of muscle under his clothing. Plus he is wearing a wig that does not match Bruce's hair style at all.

  • @clearcombat your a complete idiot

  • This is a re-enactment of Bruce Lee's life not anybody's else bio flick, it's just fair to imitate his style and the way he acts on screen. Give Danny Kwan a break, he's an actor by himself and he play better than any Bruce lee roles that we've seen before.

  • @ jundayo55 Bruce Lee il te le nik

  • man if the movie scene really looked like that we wouldn't be talking about how great Bruce Lee was. Why do the Chinese insist on ruining the heroes?

  • this bruce lee scene wasnt exactly like the real bruce lee scene from fist of fury

  • yeah, it's nothing like that scene

  • i hate it when they try to copy me

  • Um, that isn't even close to the actual scenes. I wish Bruce was live so he could protect his legacy.

  • I know that...cuz he never kicked that sign...he broke it and made the japs eat it...and from what I've heard he actually did have problems with Lo Wei the director of Fists of fury and the Chinese connection...

  • such a fucking joke. copying someone. Bruce lee said it himself "dont go out, look for a successfull personality, and duplicate it". If u want to succeed in a level of bruce lee; BE URSELF. DONT copy him, or another really successfull person. BE ur damn self 100%.

  • Well he did have to copy him to play him...besides physically he looks so much like Bruce...

  • @flight23magic32 he does look the most like bruce out of all the actors that have played him...for some reason he just looks a little uncoordinated..in comparison to bruce....lol...he's still okay though

  • @pjbutl2 Who? Danny Chan Kwok Kwan? I mean this dude we're just watching on this video? Hell yeah, he looks exactly like him in the facial...but he doesn't have Bruce's defined physique...

  • @flight23magic32 Yeah he does...its a pretty eerie resemblance...he doesn't have nearly the defined physique as bruce does... actually.. i think Jason was very close...he was very defined for that role in Dragon..but this Danny guy ..minus..not being all that defined...is really closely built the same..in my opinion...helps pull off the look

  • @pjbutl2 Yeah...he had a very nice body...all ripped and stuff...

  • @flight23magic32 Not really. Bruce was much more intense and physically fit.

  • @Kyros Yeah but they look exactly the same with their shirt on...but once Danny Chan takes it off u see the difference...

  • @flight23magic32 Not really....Danny Chan has too small of a frame either way.

  • @Kyros Well Bruce was not a big guy either...he was like 5.8 or so...

  • @flight23magic32 You're not understanding. His frame was bigger than Danny Chan's. His muscles alone made him bigger and appear stronger. Danny Chan doesn't have that.

  • @Kyros Yeah I understand perfectly what u r saying...there's no doubt that Bruce was really muscular, ripped and very athletic...and u can see the difference with their shirt off...but with their shirt on they look almost exactly the same...

  • @flight23magic32 No. Even with Danny's shirt on you can still see his smaller frame.

  • @Kyros Idk maybe...How tall was Bruce? He was like 5.7-5.8. And how tall is Danny?

  • @flight23magic32 Not sure. They could be the same height.

  • @Kyros Yeah...but u gotta admit that Danny looks exactly the same with Bruce Lee with his shirt on...but Bruce has one of the best physiques I've ever seen...I think a lot of Bruce when I go to the gym to work out...I think of Arnold, Stallone, Van Damme and Christopher Reeve (cuz of his accident) when I hit the gym... But I think Bruce's most unbelievable part of his body were his ripped abs! They were beautiful and I bet that they were hard as iron!

  • @flight23magic32 I don't admit they look exactly the same. Maybe similar but there's quite a difference between the two in build and stature. Bruce Lee was at 100% peaked physical condition. Danny Chan is not.

  • @Kyros That's why I said with his shirt on...I mean Danny looks exactly the same as Bruce in the facial...but Bruce's body was far more advanced...as he was ripped as hell and he was in absolute perfect physical condition and Danny is not...but he still looks exactly the same as Bruce as in the facial...or at least very similar...

  • @flight23magic32 I know what you meant. I don't think they look too much alike in the face either other than mimicked facial expressions. Danny's eyes slant up and Bruce's down.

  • @Kyros I think they're very very similar in the face...they coulda been twins...but Bruce woulda been the muscular one...

  • @flight23magic32 They are. But I see noticeable differences. To be honest, Jason Scott Lee didn't look a lot like Bruce but he got Bruce's mannerisms, impressions, strength, presence and intensity down perfect. Did you see or like Dragon the Bruce Lee Story? Though not an accurate film, it's still very entertaining. I think Jason Scott Lee gave the best Bruce Lee performance to date.

  • @Kyros Yeah...I have it on DVD...and it's damn shame that he didn't get at least nominated for an Oscar...as if it's easy to play Bruce...

  • @Kyros And I also really like the score of that movie...particularly the love theme...

  • R u Greek btw? Cuz your nickname sounds Greek...and I'm Greek btw....

  • @flight23magic32 Yes. I'm a quarter Greek actually. American citizen though. You from the homeland?

  • @Kyros Ναι είμαι Έλληνας...είμαι απ' την Αθήνα...αλλά τώρα μένω στη Χιλή και έχω να πάω εδώ και ενάμισι χρόνο στη πατρίδα...yes I'm Greek...I'm from Athens...but now I live in Chile and I haven't been back home in year and a half...

  • I mean they look almost the same...sorry...

  • @sodumb123 It's a Bruce lee tribute movie, ofcourse he's supposed to look like him,and act like him.In the movie he is him.I think this movies way better than Dragon the bruce lee story. This guy look's,and act's alot like Bruce, for fan's of Ong bak 2,and all Bruce lee movies, they should check it out!!!

  • @sodumb123 Its a drama....

  • @sodumb123 You're stupid. This is a biopic on Bruce Lee's life. Don't worry, though. No one would ever dare try to copy your dumb ass, sodumb.

  • Jason Scott Lee did a much better job.

  • I havent seen all the episodes yet...somebody uploaded it in Italian and its so much easier for me to understand it being from Athens, Greece and having the chance to go to Italy basically whenever I feel like...and yes Jason Scott Lee did a great job...

  • @flight23magic32 I agree...in my opinion...Dragon was about the Life of Bruce Lee through the perspective of Linda and other peers..students...etc...about his adjusting to american culture and dealing with racism..from both his own countrymen and americans whom he wanted to share his culture with......the movie wasn't so iconic..cheesy and over the top trying to do the perfect replication of bruce..i felt Jason was great conveying the emotional side of bruce as a man...not an action hero

  • @pjbutl2 Yeah, I think u r right.I think thatJason also did a good job in the fight scenes too.I know he's noBruceLee,nobody else is,but he still did a good job in the fight department and not only there. But I'd still say his best was when he playedBruce as real human being and not just a powerful martial artist.

  • @pjbutl2 I have the DVD and I rememberRobCohen saying that he wanted to get an actor and that he wasn't interested in getting a martial artist, cuz he felt that they could teach and actor how to fight but they couldn't teach a martial artist how to act...

  • @pjbutl2 I think that Jason shoulda been at least nominated for an Oscar! I mean, it's not easy to portray a legend like Bruce and do the man justice! What do u think?

  • @flight23magic32 you know...i think at that time (1993)...there was still a bit of prejudice towards what films and actors were considered for oscars, i think he should've at least been nominated..especially if will smith gets that far for portraying muhammad ali...not that i'm knocking will smith at all..his performance was okay...but i was really caught off guard by how well Jason acted the part of bruce lee..but to answer your question.. ...

  • @pjbutl2 Yeah...when I was telling u that Jason shoulda been at least nominated I was thinking of the word "politics"...he did not get nominated cuz of politics...the guys who were nominated were Robert Downey Jr for Chaplin, Denzel Washington for Malcolm X, Stephen Rea for the crying game and Clint Eastwood for Unforgiven. And the winner was Al Pacino for Scent of a woman. Now notice how Downey Jr and Denzel were nominated for playing historical figures whereas Jason was not! Damn!

  • @flight23magic32 Yeah...its ashame...i really think dragon was ahead of its time....because...bruce lee's legacy has grown since then....i think if it were today..that movie would've been nominated especially with the publicity MMA has now and just about every show they give thanks to the guy!

  • @pjbutl2 Yeah, I agree with u 100%...

  • @flight23magic32 one thing though..i hope and pray they don't try redoing another biopic....i'm perfectly content with dragon..but i wouldn't mind remakes of his old characters and films...like kato or enter the dragon

  • @pjbutl2 I'd like to see another biopic...not sure I would wanna see remakes of his movies...I haven't Jet Li's remakes...

  • @flight23magic32 you know... now that i think about it.. another biopic wouldn't be a bad idea...it has been nearly 2 decades since the last one...so many things could be updated and refreshed. Have you seen the ip man films? i think these films are a good example of how well the fight choreography has developed for martial arts films over the years...thing is..donnie yen is an actual martial artist..who acts as well...so...he's sorta of a rare cast. They've done 2 films so far... and i last

  • @pjbutl2 Well...I haven't seen the Yip man movies...are they good?

  • @flight23magic32 ya know i really like the first one a lot...its more drama based because it includes the time in ip man's life where the japanese army invaded Fo shan and basically enslaved them. The sequel is not on the level as the first but still good..i think...bruce lee makes a cameo in this one..(the kid bruce lee)..you can watch the films for free on youtube..

  • I think I have them on my favorites...but I haven't seen them yet...

  • @flight23magic32 check em out man....there is an awesome scene in the first film where yip man..destroys 10 japanese blackbelts ..awesome scene.. i doubt its historically accurate..but very very entertaining

  • @flight23magic32 i've been watching the chapters that are translated in cantonese...very good quality

  • @pjbutl2 Cantonese? Damn...I dont speak it...Im a 33 year old Greek dude btw...and u?

  • @flight23magic32 they have english subtitles...its just translated through cantonese..if that makes sense...like..the phrases and slang translations are from cantonese language... like "give me face"...which.. i guess that means forgive me??..not sure..but that's how its broken down...i'm 25...

  • @pjbutl2 They thank Jason? I didn't know that...

  • @flight23magic32 read that they're trying to plan for a 3rd yip man film that focuses on the relationship between him and a growing bruce lee, rumor has it..that donnie yen isn't interested in reprising the role for a third film..and as of always..there's so much drama over casting the "perfect" guy to play the older bruce lee....this movie wouldn't release in america though...

  • @flight23magic32 ..i just don't think seth rogen will work as the green hornet

  • @pjbutl2 Who's Seth Rogen?

  • @flight23magic32 he's a fairly new actor on the scene..known for more comedic roles and is being casted as the green hornet in the new film, jay chou is playing kato..don't know much about him...some folks seem to like jay chou as kato though..but a lot of people are upset about rogen playing the green hornet....he's kinda fat too..and goofy

  • Well, if he's fat I hope it ain't a parody...

  • @flight23magic32 they're making it an action comedy

  • @pjbutl2 I hope then the dude's that's playing the Green Hornet drops some weight then...

  • @flight23magic32 I also think Jason's portrayal of bruce lee was on the level of Jamie Foxx's portrayal of Ray Charles or Al Pacino's portrayal of dr. kavorkian...now..don't get me wrong... Al Pacino is in a league of his own..but i'm comparing how well these guys "ACTED" like the guys they were portraying...by that i mean not doing cheap imitations...which is what i see with this tv series in some spots...but bringing the character to life by way of talented expression...jamie and AL did

  • @flight23magic32 this so well..because they went as far as getting the characters habits and expressions...as well as their speech patterns...pitches...etc...i mean they were so awesome even though they didn't look dead on like them... you thought it was them because of how well they portrayed them....i feel the same way about Jason...he obviously doesn't look like bruce lee..but through his expression of bruce's habits..speech..facial expressions...he really "tricked" me into think..."wow this

  • @pjbutl2 Yeah, I know what u talkin about cuz when I watch this movie, I don't see Jason, I see Bruce, even though he doesn't look like hm in the facial...

  • @flight23magic32 guy really looks, talks, and acts like Bruce Lee"... i know there are some folks who are upset thinking...ya know.. get a guy who looks more like bruce lee..and is an actual martial artists...but that's like asking for another bruce lee.. to play that role..lol ya know.. i don't think that'll ever happen...i like cohen's choice..it was very logic and made clear since...not to mention..they had a jeet kune do practitioner train Jason like 1 to 2 years before filming....

  • you know what, i would wanna see Jason Scott Lee act as Feng Wei for this upcoming Tekken movie which im not impressed with it. (If you play this fighting game called Tekken 6)

  • this HK artiste is cool...his moves are real and resemble Bruce..

  • this movie tells the real story of bruce lee evertything inside is real

  • sorry, but no

  • hah this is not bruce lee lol

  • it says the legend of bruce lee....... its a drama.....

  • what are they saying?

  • The footage they used in the movie scene sucks, should've use some real footage of the movies

  • wtf WHERES BRUCE LEE HE SUCKS

  • no orochi gill from the mugenworld suck. not bruce lee.

  • do u think u can do it better

  • QUIT THIS MADNESS Re-creating Bruce Lee......STOP the movies/series,....make a Anime or digital Bruce Lee created by The Makers of Final Fantasy"advant children".....THIS guy doesn't even have a martial art background!.....I miss the MAGIC of BRUCE LEE! its like creating a new michael jackson........IMPOSSIBLE!

  • creating new michael jackson lmao ..bruce would slap the living shit outta this guy and even michael would moon walk him over backwards and horizontal

  • The other thing that Bruce does with the nunchuks that I haven't seen ANY one do is when he swings the stick with his right hand down toward the left part of his hip he'll grab the stick and invert his grip so when he brings the stick up his grip is inverted. He does that in Enter the Dragon and the nunchuk scene in Game of Death. Watch and you'll see what I'm talking about. That's hard to do and do quickly.

  • This dude is a pair of walking chopsticks, he is just Too skinny for the part and Bruce is better looking than this dude. Bruce was part German and this dude is pure Chinese.

  • He's as close as were gonna get.

In the upcoming Tekken movie, they cast Cung Le (MMA and San Shou fighter) as Marshall Law.

I think maybe they shoulda cast this guy instead but we'll see how that goes..

  • cung le does not only use sanshou, he uses taekwondo alot too

  • San Shou is not a style but a fighting competition within the Wushu competitions in which multiple styles can compete

  • BTW have you seen shaolin soccer by stephen chow, the goalkeeper looks like bruce lee alot and he speaks cantonese like bruce did

  • Its the same actor as the one in this clip/series

  • first of all: if it is the same actor as in shaolin soccer then why did they not speak cantonese and not mandarin

second:i have always thought that sanshou is shaolin xanda because where i live there are lots of posters saying "come and train xanda or sanshou"

  • The real Bruce Lee talks more Mandarin than Canto.

  • no, bruce talked canto

  • Wait...what? If you didnt think they are the same actor, an easy way to find out would be to go on IMDB site and look up both titles. Its the same guy.

And Sanshou is kinda like a blanket term like MMA.

You could have people desiring to go to an MMA school to 'learn MMA', but in reality, they are learning elements of Muay Thai, Wrestling, boxing, and BJJ.

  • that has nothing to do with his physic being part german. it deals what type of nemic he was.

  • You know..it's not really that bad except for some over dramatizations that you knew they would do. I just hate the way he holds his nunchuks!! He holds the way high at the tip near the cahin or string. Bruce held the sticks toward the bottom to maximize the reach of his swing.

  • holding the high part of the nunchaku can make you control it easier and faster, holding the bottom of the nunchaku is hard to swing it fast and less control. but i agree with you, bruce does holds it somewhere at the bottom, i don't know how he swings his nunchaku so fast while holding it somewhere at the bottom, but after all, he is the master of using that weapon don't you think?

  • Holding it toward the bottom gives you more of striking distance. A lot of people I see using nunchuks hold the stick toward the top. But look at the forearm strength Bruce and how developed and powerful his forearms were. The only other person I've ever seen hold the stick toward the bottom was Dan Inosanto.

  • For all I know is that every nunchaku-fighter learns to hold his nunchaku at the bottom. Holding it at the top seems to me like you don't know how to wield it!

I am sure this guy doesn't know how to wield it, since he cannot fight at all! The Legend of Bruce Lee stuff is real shitty! It just keeps reminding me of Bruce Li and his bullshit movies!

  • It's the same thing like choking up on a baseball bat when you don't know how to swing. Bruce Li, Bruce Le, Dragon Lee all held their sticks toward the top. If you look at any of the time Bruce used nunchuks he held them at the bottom. You also need good forearm strength to control the stick as well.

  • word?

  • Bruce Lee The Legend or The Legend Of Bruce Lee.....Produced By China production house.

  • the director turned angry when he felt that "bruce" wanted to do sth he doesnt want to. and "bruce" said "never point to my nose or my fists wont allow that"

  • this TV serie is trying to tell ppl the back stories when bruce lee was not yet famous.

it is not just an imitation. what "he" said was to tell the director to refilm the kicking part while the director thinks it was already perfect. "he" wanted to refilm this part because he basically hates the Words of "aisan as a patient" on the board.

  • OMG that kick was hella weak...i was like wtf...are you supposed to applause for that?? What did Bruce LEE said? Imitation pale!!! Do not try to duplicate or imitate the man...there is just one Bruce LEE!!

  • He has to imitate him,he's starring as Bruce Lee

  • where do you get the movie?

I want to see it so bad, thank for adding

  • Not a movie. It's a TV show in China
