I just bought this for $4. to play on my Xbox 360! It looks great in 1080p! I'm glad it's compatible. Wipeout is an amazing series and this is also great as well. It's got some slight difference but yeah mostly it's a clone. A good clone though.
so glad that i still own this game and can play it, just picked it out of my draw and it made me smile so much, honestly the old games make me the happiest and give me the most fun playing them :D!
I used to love this game. While there were blatant similarities to Wipeout, Quantum Redshift was grittier, less reliant on control mastery (in a good way) and the tracks were more open. I remember playing this and constantly weighing up whether I should go off the track (which meant slowing down) to collect a powerful pickup, or stay on the road where I could remain at full speed.
Single most under appreciated game on the XBox. I say MS really fucked up by breaking up Curly Monsters. Think about, do you really think a game targeted at the Wipeout and F Zero crowds (which are small to begin with) on a system nobody really cares about at the time (This was 2002, people were still swarming PS2s) is going to be the most successful shit out there? I really would like to see an online version of this game and maybe a sequal as well.
@AFreakinProblem It didn't help that the graphics were polished to the original xbox's equivalent of a spit-shine (60 FPS and 5.1 channel surround throughout with those graphics was unheard of on the xbox until this came along!), yet the storyline had more Clichés than the TV series Sea Patrol (How that got further than the american Kath and Kim, I will never know!). If there was a sequel with a much better storyline then it would get more attention. Several WipEout devs worked on this!

A worthy game. I'd love to see a dl re-release!

In all honesty, this looks like a decent WipEout clone. Junkie XL did a pretty shabby job on the sountrack though.

@InjectedWithAPoison This was made wayyyy before WipEout

@NIStreakz I had wipeout XL in 1997 or so. What were you saying?

@NIStreakz Umm, no? Wipeout = 1995, QRS = 2002
Check your facts ;]
