This "war" is so stupid. Look at any article on the Preah Vihear temple and it will clearly indicate that the temple belongs to/was awarded to Cambodia; it's even located inside of Cambodia. I don't see why there needs to be so much debate. It seems to me that Thailand just seems to be looking for another economic opportunity, but in very poor judgment.

There are 3 entrances from Cambodia side. Khmer can build the temple, Khmer can build the entrances. The original main entrance is on the Thai side built by Khmer, but now Khmer closed the temple from the Thai side and opened other 3 entrances from Cambodia side. Thais can go crazy watching tourists visiting Cambodia temple high hill from the ancient stair on the low Thai side.

When my father traveled through Thailand in the 70's and he saw Khmer writing on sak yun/yuntra and palm leave scripts in Budhist temples and they called Khom writing. Thailand was owned by Khmer Empire. Khmer Empire ruled over SEA and Khmer Civilization had spread over SEA long before Thailand ever existed. All Khmer temples in Thailand, in Laos, in South Vietnam and included Preah Vihear Temple in Cambodia were built by the Khmer Kings. Thailand never created any beautiful temple, even Thai language was based on the Khmer language and Thai vowels and Thai numerals are Khmer 100%.

for recent trouble, we thai have accepted/ recognized cambodian right over the temple, according to the court decision. But suddenly cambodia took the temple to the unesco last year, it was the army who protested first. because cambodia brought it with the map which includes the area thailand says it's our land.
and now we have just step up and warned cambodia that it is ours.

It seems that they need to cover up something and do this by diverting attention by lashing out to their neighbours in an attempt to bolster Thai nationalism...
Maybe also the Thai government wants to create more bargaining powerin border disputes with Cambodia elsewhere.
Thai + Viet shoud be more modest, realize what has been given to them in the 18th and 19th centuries by people who didn't have the right to give away Cambodian grounds.

Yes, you're right ! however if thai army still the bad situation to be going on, and if they want to fight with our country "cambodia" they will be lost in fighting you know why? because the most of khmer soldier are remain from khmer rough so they have alot experience in the war, i will not have any reason to afraid Thai army, even my heart also think that if some thing happen i am ready to be army and fight with thai, even though i am not experience in Soldier training!

Thai troops 'cross into Cambodia'
About 40 Thai troops have crossed into Cambodian territory in the latest flare-up of a dispute over an ancient temple, Cambodian officials have said.
Hang Soth, who manages the site of the 11th , said the Thai soldiers had entered in violation of his country's sovereignty.
The temple and the land around it were awarded to Cambodia by the International Court of Justice in 1962, forcing Thai troops who had occupied the area to withdraw.
