The Israelis have a blockade on Palestine to ensure that no weapons are allowed in to support terror. Every COUNTRY has a duty to defend it's citizens to the max. Although Gaza is not a country, what measures has it taken to better the conditions of it's citizens? Buying bombs instead of medicines, hospitals and air raid shelters?

Considering that a massive proportion of Gaza are reliant on foreign aid to survive i'm not sure how much they actually have to spend on weapons, obviously i agree that they'd be better spend their money elsewhere. But the economic blockade has failed and more than that caused the death of the innocent not the terrorists.
Israel has a stockpile of NUCLEAR WEAPONS exactly.They have had this stockpile for years-they have not used them,nor have they threatened to use them!! You'd better throw out yr computer and not buy another one, cause many of its components are made in Israel. Same goes for a lot of the software you buy. Also, when you need to be hospitalized, don't let them use many of the lasers and other medical equipment-all Israel. Your mobile phone-sorry but a lot of the parts are also made in Israel. If you what to be on the safe side-go live in Afghanistan, and drink oil, that way you'll be safe not to buy Israeli products.

Actually no, there has been very little conflict between Hamas and Israel from their election apart from some minor things until Israel decided to increase sanctions on the Gaza string to the point where if u poke someone enough they will snap.
Israel has bombed UN buildings, schools and other citizen buildings and made no international reason for this let alone the fact they are breaking the law of the geneva convention.

That only works if both sides are actually willing to talk. Apparently Palestinian children are worth whatever it costs to starp a bomb on them. They don't want a lasting peace with Israel, they want a non-existant Israel. You can't negotiate with someone like that. You talk and they merely laugh at you and see it as a weakness. Until the Palestinian people themelves rise up and ask for a lasting peace and co-existance with Israel. Until then this will go on like two scorpions in a bottle.

The Israelis have a blockade on Palestine to ensure that no weapons are allowed in to support terror. Every COUNTRY has a duty to defend it's citizens to the max. Although Gaza is not a country, what measures has it taken to better the conditions of it's citizens? Buying bombs instead of medicines, hospitals and air raid shelters?
I have NO DOUBT, that if the Palestinians were only interested in peaceful tasks, Gaza would be a Haven !! Israel would be the first to invest and develop it!

Let's not forget that Israel has a stockpile of illegally held NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!! So it's difficult for israelis to lecture on palestinian primitive (by comparison) weapons.
Considering that a massive proportion of Gaza are reliant on foreign aid to survive i'm not sure how much they actually have to spend on weapons, obviously i agree that they'd be better spend their money elsewhere. But the economic blockade has failed and more than that caused the death of the innocent not the terrorists.

I think that by the fact Israel has nuclear weapons and has refused to sign the non-proliferation treaty is threatening in itself! It's not a question of what gives me the right, it's a question of looking reality straight in the face. The Irish always identified and accepted the Protestant's right to exist, they wanted the British to respect and aknowlege them. They had to stop the cycle of hatred, but the foundations of mutual respect existed. The Muslems do not accept non Muslims in the Middle East, and want to convert Europe. I understand the situations are not identical but lessons learned here can surely be transfered to your conflict! I agree, but israel has to show respect to receive respect! I really don't think this war with the death of 800+ people does anything to change the muslim view that Israel belongs... The biggest recruitment into the IRA was always after atrocities by the British like on bloody sunday. Israel's case isnt furthered by creating islamic extremists, many more born by this recent violence.

Israel as a going concern is not sustainable, given its out lay on weapons, military technology, settlement building etc, on one hand, and taking into consideration its natural resources, the enmity of its neighbors and demographic, on the other.
Israel is simply not sustainable on its own, never was never will be. It doesn't need Muslims to destroy it, and no doubt they want to now, but it needs constant conflict in order to garner support and political sympathy from 'The West'.

Those 1.5 million that are stuck in Gaza voted for Hamas to lead them to WAR! Gazans have supported Hamas's arming itself and supported the thousands of attacks against Israeli civilians. So when you say that Israel should cease fire this means to Israel should allow Hamas to fire thousands of rockets at its citizens and do nothing.
