  • Reminds me a lot of Alaska except fewer fish, lol. Beautiful though!

  • Probobly the most overrated fishing in the world. Nine minutes, two fresh salmons. In Russia, averageweight extremly overated because of catch & release. Bribes, drunk guides, everything you dont wanna happen on vacation can happen.

Go to Norway, Island, Argentina, Alaska or whatever.

  • in soviet russia salmon fishes you

  • nice place, nice environment, wanna be there but no money XD

  • Nicely done video. Atlantic salmon are some of the best leapers there are in the fish world. Don't believe all that Atlantic salmon consevation group tell you. In many cases, salmon rivers are capable of producing more fish when kill is allowed. The Atlantic Salmon Federation believes all should be spared because they have a conservation agenda to be filled for the purpose of attracting more contributions. They don't want to tell you about how many rivers FLOURISH.

  • Too bad there isn't a single U.S. river with a "flourishing" population, where once there were more than a hundred. My home state of Maine once had incredible numbers of Atlantic salmon returning to virtually every coastal drainage. Today, the species is officially listed as "endangered", and only a small handful of streams see any adult fish at all. The vast majority have completely lost their entire native stock.

  • I am personally involved with the state of Maine's situation regarding Atlantic salmon. At one time, I was a member of The Veazie & Bangor Salmon clubs. It's going to be a longtime before we see any population come back but heopefully it will decades ahead or sooner.

  • That would be a beautiful thing. When I was growing up in the 70's, the Androscoggin was so polluted it was dangerous to swim in. Now, I catch smallmouths, the occasional brown, stripers, and other species there. Hopefully, this represents a turn in the long arc to full recovery. How cool would it be to see salmo salar pushing up the fish ladder in Brunswick after a 100+ year absence? Maybe in my lifetime?

  • @AYUODSNUKIS Go to Alaska there are literally hundreds of rivers with flourishing fish populations.

  • Beautiful country,is it all helicopter ride in?

  • A high proportion do return to the Sea unlike Pacific Salmon which all die. That is why it is essential to handle Atlantic's v.carefully after being caught so that they can not only reach their spawning grounds in good health but return to the river even bigger in years to come.

  • did i read somewere some atlantic salmon after breeding to get back to the sea?
