i learned that if u wana increase the time on it (instead of 2 start-ups of 10mins) you can do the same relock and start after u hav already remote started it, this will add 10 more mins. so it stays start for 20 mins then shuts off, then u can restart it again.

No u don't have shut off and restart it on the inside all u have to do is lock the doors then hold the remote start to start it then unlock it an get in and turn the key ti the on postition

haha i knew it.. cause the ones that have navi like my suburban in my videos. they make a weird noise before it starts up.. kinda like an rc car when u steer them.. thats the way the ones with navi sound,

How did u get it to start

I pressed the unlock button twice (it'll start on one press...I just like the horn) and then pressed and held the button on the top of the remote designated for remote start.  That's how.

i didn't know the flashers turn the engine off. u could just hold the remote start button again that will do it too...

I figured I would show you all another way to shut the engine off. I could have been boring and pressed the button again or put the key in the ignition, but I didn't.

I think factory installed remote starts are better than aftermarket

Definitely. For the most part, they're more reliable than aftermarket units.

My Avalanche starts like that 90% of the time, but occasionally it fails to start. Chevy Dealer can't find anything wrong with it.

thats how you turn it off? with the emergency flashers? wtf? Can you drive it with out the key in the ignition? Why even make keys now in days.....

No, you can't drive it with the key not in the ignition. Since the key is not in the ignition, the steering and gear selector are locked. Same with the gas pedal.

Yeah, you can. It's just nice to have autostart in the summer and winter.

He used to work for a company that got huge discounts.  At the time, February '07, there were huge huge discount on all SUV's in Texas. He knocked $7,000 and $3,000 off with just discounts, and then he had a trade in. h

I think it was $56,000 sticker, but was purchased for $42,000 using several discounts. It's also not ours...it's my uncles.

Did the hazzard lights cut the engine off?

Sure did. In the owners manual, it stated that the vehicle may be shut off by turning the hazards on or something else I can't remember.

What happened to the classic buzzer heard in earlier 1995 Tahoes? I hate that depressing chime. Why did Chevrolet have to switch to a chime in the newer Suburbans starting with the 2000 models?

I'm not familiar with the buzzer you speak of. However, I happen to like the GM chime.

Why is the tac at 0 when you get in? and is it a LT?

The key is not in the ignition and I was using remote start. In order to "turn the gauges on" I have to put the key in the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position.

No, I didn't.  That's really hard to do when the max speed you can go is 15 MPH because of the really bad roads.
