The batter has no clue where the ball is coming...and u dont hit the ball one out of the park and stop...u have to keep goin hit after hit and score runs...try concetrating and scoring a hundred runs in 4 hours! ahh baseball is such a crap sport!

@hawty0boy any sport is difficult to be a great. I know almost nothing about cricket and I still know it requires a great amount of skill to be a great player. All sports share the same thing. As an American, I'm watching the World Cup and learning a few things. The game requires speed and great foot work especially when you are close to the net. I may not be an expert at sports I don't know much about, but I would never say that it is pathetic takes no skill at all!

Batting only takes co-ordination and is not very hard at all,

Cricket you have to apply everything u need to get used to the conditions of the pitch, there is no "strike" once your out your gone,

You can die any second on the cricket pitch if your not concentrating.

Now i'm not saying hitting a cricket ball is easy. But it is easier than hitting a baseball.

Am I saying which is better? No. I like both. But as which is harder to HIT, I have to say baseball. You are trying to have a round ball meet a round bat, squarely. Even saying it sounds hard. no one can throw curveballs at 98 mph. no matter what you say, that's impossible. i admit that i don't know who Ben Hilfenhous is but when you throw curveballs, the spin of the ball makes the ball slow down significantly. u'd have to be able to throw like 110 mph fast balls to even have a chance at getting a 98mph curveball. 160kmh is 100mph

Anyone considered a power pitcher in MLB can throw 95 mph, that's basically prerequisite, the number was used to serve as an average ML fastball. Stephen Strasburg is 20 years old and throws 101 mph (162.5 kph) regularly and can hit 103.5. Joel Zumaya has thrown 104.8 (almost 169 kph) And if you throw a straight fastball that doesn't move left or right at that level, you might as well throw a volleyball, because it's going to be hit.

ok 84crew you try standing up to a pitcher throwing 95 mph and try to hit. baseball batters have to decide whether to swing, what type of pitch it is, the trajectory of the ball, where the ball is coming from and the speed of the ball in about .395 seconds, assuming the person is throwing the ball at 95 mph, and it gets even harder when the person is throwing above 95 mph. you try and take a goalie in any pro soccer league in the world and they won't be able to get a hit against that person
