  • Benny's stirring keyboard gives way to painful memories of "happy autumn days." A Michael Tretow working title.

  • ABBA - THIS IS BRILLIANT!!! SO SO VERY NICE TO HEAR IT, WISH IT WAS RELEASED THEN I COULD LISTEN ON MY STEREO!!

  • does anyone know why the song is called hamlet?

  • @modden94 it's named after a Dr. Clause von Hamlet. I am unsure of who he is or his relation to the group, or even if he exists! :P

  • It's a little bit different from that version I knew, but I like this too, of course :)

I tought the text part is slowlier :)

  • well done

  • I played this song in the car while I was crossing the Chesepeake Bay Bridge with my Dad in 1995! One of the best days of my entire life!

  • felicidades asombroso mix, gracias por hacer real una cancion mas de abba

  • PERFECT!

  • This tune became later known as the instrumental "Lottis schottis" from Benny Andersson's first solo album, Klinga mina klockor. Check it out!

  • For how it all sounded on Abba Undeleted, go to watch?v=xBoi23ae8e4&feature=related

  • To those who don't know, Hamlet III is on the track Abba Undeleted, from the 1994 4 CD collection Thank You For The Music. There is a rocking instrumental, heard here, and a gentler vocal version. This clip puts the two versions together.

A very clever mix, but I have to say I prefer I prefer the second one, which sounds a bit like I Have A Dream in the background.

  • a musical version of shakespeare should have been made based on ABBA's music, just like Mamma Mia made a big hit in the west end and all over the world. think about it; kings and queens (Dancing Queen) Dreaming (I have a dream) relationships breaking up (knowing me knowing you) etc.

  • omigosh... when did abba make this song?!?! it's good with ur mix 2 but there i probably a but load of songs i've never heard by them sadly.... :(

  • Your mix is awesome!! this one is better than some of their released songs indeed!

  • The very intro makes me sing "get oooooon the carousel!!!!" It has the same melody just the first few notes. To me anyway.

  • Great Job ! Your mix is really cool !!

  • This would have been great just as an instrumental, lyrics spoil it. No wonder it went no further. the start was brilliant

  • They didn't go further with this song... just to make us wonder....and sing along!

  • Too bad B&B abandoned this one...the proper

    arrangement would have been: HamletI-just

Frida & Aggie nearly a cappella with just sleigh bells in the background. Hamlet II-

the mid-tempo number where the girls were

backed by the full band. This would be the

bulk of the song. Hamlet III-the full rock

instrumental so that everyone could dance.

  • Why didn't they release one of the first versions then? hehe Catchy song, as all abba songs! I absolutely think that this one is better than some of their released songs!

  • Why they didn't bring out that song ?????

I ve heard a slower version.

  • Because this one is a mixture of part I and II made by a fan. Really, this one don´t exist but someone put them together. I love it. It Sounds great.

  • By the way, you're right, there isn't a third version of hamlet. It's the first with the vocals, and the second the instrumental. This is put together by a fan
