  • It's a sunny day and a blue sky. It's cold outside and it's winter. Outside my window I see some construction going on. An elevator is moving up and down. It's a real lazy day. This song seems fitting.

  • Don't forget the Sagittarius stellazio lying around

  • oh no not lindblum again for the forth time haha

  • "why are you calling me "Mister" zidane"

    "Zidane please get up!!!"

"! Oh it was just a dream....whats up?"

"Lady Hilda is having a meeting. Please go to the conference room."

    "Ok...i just wish i could've dreamt a little longer."

    xD

  • Old lady: Do you always strike out that badly. You need a new line a little shine wouldn't hurt either.

    Steiner: What are these?

Old Lady: Their Gysahi Pickles. A Lindblum delicacy. Try one.

    *Steiner eats one*

    Steiner: Ahh!!!

Old lady: Wow even the locals don't eat them in one bite.

Steiner: But your right they ARE good.

  • Time for some synthesis bitches. c: Lol

  • I know this place like my backyard :)

  • Everytime I play a new Final Fantasy IX game, when I first arrive to Lindblum, I stay a couple of evenings just playing Tetra Master all around the city.... And I can't wait to do it again.

  • The best FF. Sadly ppl flocked to 7 for the fact it took a bold step and perm. killed off a character. I just wish Square would get its shit together and make a true-to-heart FF. They never seem to take ideas/suggestions from the fans.

  • @sephiroth21347 A bold step? Fuck almost every character you get in FFIV dies.

  • @vfgjhj It was still totally unexpected and was a character you(as the gamer) had become connected to. It wasnt some backstory char that made no difference to you whether or not they lived or died, It was a major plot character and for most of the game, a party member.

  • @sephiroth21347 FFVII, VIII and IX are the best games ever. It's a toss up between them they're all the same thing really.

  • @vfgjhj yea.Gameplay-wise 9 is my favorite as it didnt have any confusing or annoying systems. 8's juctioning and drawing magic became really tedious and annoying as you couldnt be sure how to set your chars up for a new area, and you had forced char switches at times which got annoying. 7's materia wasnt as bad but it could still have that type of issue occur.

  • @sephiroth21347 simplicity is not appealing man... i liked 9 the most for better reasons...good example: the music

  • @manu231188 Well again that was gameplay-wise. It did have some amazing music. Like Assault of The Silver Dragons. Almost every aspect of FF9 makes it my fav FF....cept main villian.

  • Small town knight in big city.

  • Really loved this part of the game. The song suits it very much.

  • I took advantage of the fact I was alone with Zidane here, and leveled heaps outside the city limits. I was always saving after every battle because I was petrified a few times by those funny looking birds :(

  • @QuickfleX1990 Yeah, the Cockatrice's were bastards unless you had the Jelly ability which blocked Petrify.

  • This song really gets the atmosphere up at a good level

  • @NeoDMC

    >no downtime after arcs in newer FF gaems

    >I'M CAPTAIN BOSH

    >BOSH LIVES

    Ehem *shuffles papers*

although twelve made me feel like i was always grinding for good weapons which sucks.

  • *Examines suit of armor as Zidane*

Zidane: Man, who would ever buy this crap?

*Later on, Rusty examines the same armor*

Steiner: What a lovely suit of armor!

  • @Pharphain Exactly rofl :P

  • Only Rusty gets lost in Lindblum :P

  • Mmmm I wish Lindblum pickles were real =(

but i guess no-one would eat it since it stinks xD

  • @LadyGamer19 Its acctually Gyschal Pickles.

  • @MrBestcrash No, thats the chocobos pickles. I mean the stinky ones that you can find in Lindblum xD

  • @LadyGamer19 yea those are Gyshal Pickles if ur not sure than watch a video O_E

im sure i know cus i have this game can i checked yesterday :P

  • @MrBestcrash Oh now that I think about it, the chocobo ones are gyshal greens xD I guess your right xD

  • Comment removed

  • @LadyGamer19 XD

And its Dead pepper not Gyshal greens ;/

    KIDING! :)

  • Do you know what that is daguerreo? I know I do not

  • I loooved exploring Lindblum when I first played this game^^

  • Even the oglops are big in Lindblum.

  • @MrBestcrash lol good one

  • @headgirls Thats what vivi said :P

  • I liked Linblum more than Alexandria.

  • @Ilovemariofan lindblum was more laidback(what u expect from an oglop king?XD) AND HAVE MORE PLACE TO EXPLORE, citizen frenly to.feeels like a place that really connect to the players.=)

  • @headgirls It really was before that festival and that event.

  • perfect for a city life.

  • Who wants some gysahl pickles?

  • Bird Turd Alert!

  • This sounds so chill...

  • "Dammit, Jim! I'm a doctor, not a miracle worker! Go ask someone else." XD

  • only 4:04? seems like an hour

  • "I have to take a dump."

    Old dude in lindblum.

  • You know, for such a massive city Lindblum is... The song is rather... calm and quiet. The song is incredibly simple. That's a good thing.

  • today i dont feel like doing anything *whistles*

  • Vivis shoping ooooooooo a kupo nutXD

  • nice music

  • Grandmother selling Gyhashi pickles......

    actually....i would try one.....

  • @Athrunwong even the locals dont eat them in one bite!

  • I feel like this is the perfect song to listen to when you have nothing else better to do and you are just wandering around a market place full of people.

  • gsayal pickles? *hack* *hack* omnomom

  • i feel kinda lazy when i hear this.

  • I like this song. Reminds me of countless hours going through comical etm's and important character building moments. Of course its not my favourite, but hey I like it all the same.

  • This theme is all about killing time and I like that even Zidane feels that way about this part of the game.

  • @Conchobhar Final Fantasy isnt aggresion. Its Fun, With tales of zidane and garnet. "Killing" is quite a strong word me friend.

  • It's weird, actually. Looking back on my memories of FFIX, Lindblum is probably one of my least favorite places. You have to spend an eternity wandering there and it's just not much to look at, music's kinda meh.

That said, I have the Festival of The Hunt trail memorized by now, and I always win!

  • @HackedStats

I actually liked the downtime after the whole Black Waltz arc. Not only that but it took a little time away from gameplay to establish setting, which recent Final Fantasy games have failed to do. You really get a sense that Lindblum is a real place in the game, not just a set piece the characters are shuffling through toward the next boss. Which is why when it gets destroyed it actually has emotional impact on the player.

  • @NeoDMC Within the story, Lindblum was definitely an important place but I never find myself all that excited to go through it again, mostly because there's nothing to do except the Hunt, which takes forever to get around to.

  • @NeoDMC I know you lose that shopping district when i first placed it i was looking round forever thinking i had gone mad and dreamt it up then relised it was actuly...blown up

  • @goldenfantasygirl don't you mean industrial district?

  • @willw1991 hehe yeah where did i get shopping district from ^-^

  • @NeoDMC That's exactly what is missing on today's RPG. I remind the afternoon setting of Lindblum. The workers, the vendors, all o that made the place more believable than any next-gen graphics suitcase. It's what transports you into the game, and why this game marks such a good spot on my childhood, back when I was 9 years old, just looking at the TV but my mind was inside the bustling city.

  • @NeoDMC true. this never happened with trabia garden in ff8.

  • @danielsf89 I think he's referring to the newer games. Like 12 and 13 for instance?

  • @NeoDMC I wish they would put ATE in more games...

  • @NeoDMC Yeah, I can't believe I even cried at that clip. Only video game that could make me cry...

  • @QuatreiZer0 Yeah, this game made me cry too. Love it so much

  • @NeoDMC You are so completely right!

  • Comment removed

  • @NeoDMC I remember sitting in Lindblum doing absolutely nothing the first time I got there. I wasn't used to that.

  • This song brings back memories of Lindblum. Oh the so many times I ran around that place just to explore like a newbie.

  • @EtherealGuardian nice quote
