  • can you really change their clothes like the sniper did.

  • You can change the textures of any unit in the game, but since I didn`t know how I simply used a different model. :-)

  • Did you win in the contest?

  • Yes, sir! ;-)

  • Nice! By the way, who was behind the voice of the Sniper, and who voiced the Commander???

  • It`s all me... :-(.

I only had around 3 hours and no people around me, except my wife. :-) (let alone people who speak english with an american accent). But the contest schedule was quite tight, so somehow I was forced to make that step. :-) If you are interested you can read much more about these weird circumstances on my website.

  • Well I got a few word to said to you:

    WELL DONE!

Oh yeah, if by chance win again if Battlefront decided to make a new video contest in Theater of War Africa 1943. I'll be watching : D

  • I`m happy that you like the videos! Hm, I haven`t bought ToW 2 yet, because I think the gameplay is too similar, but, if they really decide to host another contest maybe I HAVE TO participate again. ;-)

Reminds me of Rocky Balboa ... old man has to get in the ring again... :-)

  • hast du eigentlich gewonnen?

  • Ja. :-) Wenn Dich mehr dazu interessiert kannst Du gerne mal auf meiner Homepage vorbeischauen. Die Adresse findest Du im video-info Fenster.

  • bei 5:30 hast du das sehr geschickt gemacht

  • Danke. :-)

  • wut game is this?

  • How tha hell did that tree blow up at 5:24?

  • You mean 4:57? If so, I will give you a little "making of" insight. :-) It`s an AT gun which I placed outside the view. The annoying thing was that I had to record each "tree is falling angle" at least 30 times, because it had to fell in the right direction. Sometimes the gun didn`t even hit the tree, sometimes the motorcycle was stopping or slowing down, because it left the street... So, after 2-3 hours of trial and error I got what you see now. :-)

  • How's the control only one soldier system work?

  • Realy nice video 5 stars!

  • The voices are funny but 5 Stars

  • Thanks for your rating! Yeah, about the voices... As I said here before I had such a tight schedule :-( and of the 100 hours which went into Part 1 and 2 I only could spent 3 for the dubbing. When I uploaded it a few hours before the contest deadline I was happy to be able to finish everything at all. :-)

  • Nicely done! 5 stars

  • This game remeinds me... "Death to Spies" Good game

  • the horn for the jeep sounds like a truck's horn from bf1942 FH mod.Did u use bf1942 sound in this?

  • gratz on the vid and money, i don't have the game yet but is it worth it? How is the mulitplayer?

  • Graphics are gorgeous, simulation wise it is "serious". But it is quite "different". Being a real time simulation (NOTE: NOT a shooter), in which you can control your troops (Whole battalions or at least companies on the "board".) down to the last man, makes it very difficult to handle. I never got used to it.

Be aware it is definitevly not like the good old Combat Mission games.

I never played the Multiplayer, but I can imagine it will be difficult to handle, too.

  • nicely done, 5 stars :-)

  • It was still raining inside the car at 7:o2.

  • It`s not the only game where such things happen. :-) Maybe it`s because you are not supposed to go there with the cam. ;-)

  • uhhhh.....no offense....but the video would be alot more awesome if the voices were better....

  • Hm, as discussed here and elsewhere quite often: I simply didn`t have enough time until the given deadline. It took me around 100 hours in 8 days to finish it. With 3 days of regular work you can imagine how much I slept during the making. At that time I thought even bad voices are better than reading subtitles the whole time. And, after all, it shouldn`t be taken too seriously.

:-) I just wanted to deliver a few nice images for Theatre of War fans.

  • well, you succeeded

  • the main problem is that you show no emotion

    You:that guy was OSS goddamit.

    ME:THAT GUY WAS OSS GODDAMMIT!!!!

  • I`m quite aware of that fact, ... but still... there was not enough time. :-) To be able to finish this whole thing at all I had to neglect something. And keeping up the continuity and getting the game-soldiers to do what you want to is quite tricky. Maybe you can share this experience with me after you got the game. :-)

  • congrats...you deserved to win. This is that type of game one buys new pc for

  • Thanks for your comment! I`m happy that you liked the video. :-)

  • where'd you get theatre of war from? as in, like, what store? i can't seem to find one

  • You can get it from Battlefront's website.

  • i know but i'd like to get it from a store so i don't have to wait

  • I can't help you with a store but I think you can download it straight from their website. (That won't be a huge wait depending on your connection).

  • Congrats on winning the contest Shadow

  • Thank you!!! :-)

  • that's an online game? i've never heard of it

  • No, an RTS. Check the video description, please.

  • hh voices :)

  • I know. :-) The problem is that I had too less time for this whole project until the given deadline. Putting the action scenes together and changing to different locations took almost all the time, therefore I had to neglect the dubbing. Won`t happen again. :-) And, by the way I also thought that the visuals are more important for "Theatre of War" fans. :-)

  • yes yes visuals are more importatnt:) I could not make it better nice work 5 starts I like your videos man

  • Happy to hear that you like it! :-) Thanks!

  • 5/5 of course !!!
