the 360 elite is basically a jet black xbox with a much bigger harddrive so there would be no need to buy a memory card. it comes with 1 wireless controller (batteries included). it also comes with a chord to connect to internet and a headset that connects into the controller. its worth the buy. i suggest getting gta v for it first.

ive jus traded my xbox 360 pro with an elite and mines got the jasper chipset inside and i've playing for about 3 hours straight and my xbox is not even hot..

so i reccomend people getting the elite because its really good

fast fix option: put 3-4 towls on top of it. Unplug EVERYTHING except the power chord. This includes, hard drive, wireless adapter, ect. Turn it on and let it over heat for about 1hr. Turn it off and let it cool down. Then it SHOULD work again. NOTE: this should not be preformed more than once.

also if yo get a RROD it sometimes is not it means that something is not right like the cords or the disk my xbox has a mind of its own its fucking disk tray wount open when their is no disk in it

i have to wait and keep clicking eject and eventully it comes out but if their is a disk in it it dosn't happen

you know xbox has the longest life of the rrod so its the hardest to get it even though the play station can't get them it gets something else thats the same and it makes it run realy shit but i love my xbox and i woun't get a playstation i got nothing againts them it just that i like playing halo and i don't see myself playing metal gear solid on pc3

Yes you do. Microsoft just put 175w psu because they needed to get rid of inventory. Your xbox still uses 150w.

Most likely no because your 360 has a newer chipset. Mine was one of the first ones made and did not have the updated processor and graphical chip.

i had an elite when it first came out, as soon as i got it home, i was able to play for only ONE hour untill i got the RROD. Took it back the next day. then maybe...4-5 months ago, i bought an arcade 360 with a separate harddrive (i dont like the chrome finish on the white 360s.) and i havent had a problem with that...yet. but to be honest, i think it may break eventually. its quite loud.

I got it on the Arcade, and fixed it. I thought Elites couldn't get the RRoD. And I've got a question. Why the hell did they even put Red Lights in the damn thing in the first place ya know? They had to have known something was going to fuck up. But whatever. Just my opinion.

no. elites can get the red rings. they are no different than the arcades now. the only difference is that they come with the big hard drive.

The red lights were to give you an idea of what is wrong with your system. One flashing red light usually means that the problem is fixable at home. I don't remember what 2 lights is but 3 is an error that is caused by hardware so you should send it in to be repaird. And if I remember correctly 4 red lights is an unplugged AV cord or something

any xbox can get it. it like 93% of the time, its because the owner of the 360 has it sitting vertically. when you do tht, the main air intake is facing the ground, which in turn will suffocate and overheat the xbox.

Its not the main intake as there arent any fans intaking at either the top or the bottom. The xbox doesnt actually have a intake, but 2x 80 mm fans at the rear of the case exhausting very hot air.

Yo how do you keep your 360 so clean? Mines about 6 months old and its starting too get really dusty, i want to clean it but I'm not sure of a safe way to do it.

I don't want to piss it off so if you could tell me what materials you used and how you cleaned the system, it would really help.

don't take you 360 apart you might break something and you might void the warranty just clean the disc drive with a dry cloth and the out side with a cloth and clean i about 2-3 times a week (outside not disc drive) and clean the disc drive about every 2-3 months
