  • 00:21 Nice bodyyyy ;))

    cool review.

  • @JoshskaGeorgeski OMG lol, thanks ;)

  • @Intechdude300 oh! not a problem. keep those window's nice and shiny on all your review-cars ;)

  • @JoshskaGeorgeski haha, cant guarantee that

  • Hi, im thinking of getting a 960/965 as my first car, how is the car when you drive like very long? Is it comfortable?

    Eric.

  • @MrPiskfinne It is VERY comfortable !

  • @Intechdude300 where do you film the cars anyway? My family may be moving to America someday and were hoping to buy a decent car (they're much more expensive in the US compared to Ireland - at least most of them.)

My Volvo V50 2.0D is worth around $12,000 as of today. You can get a similar 2.4i version in the US for $17,500...

  • Sorry, 2.9 I6.

  • @PS2Gameplays Yeah these engines were junk. Stick with the redblock!

  • Even though the 960 were tanks, the 2.9 v6 was simply an awful engine!!!

  • Nice legs you have!

  • the 1990-1997 Volvo 960 was assembled in

    Kalmar, Sweden

    Gothenburg, Sweden

  • I was never a fan of Swedish cars but they do sound ultra solid.

BTW I think the best A/C comes in GM cars and trucks. Even a basic Cavalier has excellent A/C.

  • @7477238 Rode in them all, best I ever felt for out of these old Volvos, Even in the 90's Toyotas

  • @7477238 he owns a volvo

  • ok where is the Minor Burnout?

  • @form109 I just brake-torqued a bit during the exhaust view & there was wheel spin

  • @Intechdude300 lol the wheels need to actually burn abit for it to be a burnout eh?...no smoke! -_-

  • loving those ultra-Clunky door locks.

  • Put an american v8 in it and it makes it the ideal sleeper.

  • @Carnut91 MAny people have done it lol

  • I'd love to have 240, Volvos are bullet proof.

  • @hondaftw1234 Oh those were rolling tanks lol.. Many people drive them forever & some sell them simply because they are just sick of driving it for so long because of it being too reliable. You can count it the 740 & the 940 which were pretty much the same but just with a different looking box lol.

  • One little fact. This motor was developed with Porsche.

  • I always liked these style Volvos.

  • What's wrong with the 80s?

  • Or not.

  • Will probably go for at least another 145k.

  • Those doors make a nice clunk when you open them and close them. The 850 Turbo is a fun car to drive actually but the ride is HARSH! Pedals on Volvos are weighted and east to modulate.

  • @1bentley4ever Thats one thing I always loved of them old boxy volvos. How solid they sound from opening & closing the doors, trunk & hood. We had an 850 Turbo for a few month years back. It was fun to drive but yes the ride was harsh. It was a 94 with 225K lol but everything about it was perfect.

  • @Intechdude300 Ah! My mom has an 850 Turbo. She has had it for 6 years so far. Those turbo 5s kick ass. You compare the sound the doors make when they close on a 1996 Toyota Camry and a 1996 Volvo 850. The 850 makes the Toyota sound like a rusty tin can. That does not mean the Camry isn't safe, though. If I was going to be in a crash in a 1990s car, it would be a Volvo, BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes (not the C-class from the 90s though). She might keep the Volvo if she gets a sedan or coupe to drive.

  • I remember riding in a friend of mine's, parents, 90 volvo 240 wagon. White with blue interior. Very comfy car. I loved it. My boss right now, had the current XC90 suv. Black on black. It's nice.

  • @giannial1985 Has*

  • @giannial1985 I like the V8 version of the XC90

  • @Intechdude300 Same here :)

  • @Toyota4Runner4Ever Was a skin to protect it. I use this black one more often as it's slimmer & less noticeable when I do exhaust views. These iPod Nanos are super tough, been using it for 2 yrs & I even got it soaked while riding the Jurassic park ride at universal studios Sunday night lol Still works great & did more tours with it this week haha. Still waiting for iPhone to become available so I can shoot true HD & then I'll just use the nano for exhaust views.

  • Never seen an inline 6 before...i've seen inline 5's like what Volkswagen does, and Chevrolet does with its Colorado. I dont know about the dash and console, but that left side turn signal lever and cruise control thing looks like it came from the late 70s!

  • @talldude123 They still do Inline 6 cyl but it's far improved now lol

  • @Toyota4Runner4Ever He might have a case on it tho

  • Wow! No wonder they brought out the S80!

  • @1bentley4ever It's like 1987 all over again when stepping inside lol

  • IIRC this was Volvo's costliest car back in the day.

  • Volvo's of the early to mid 90's were so dated . I do love the S70 sedan/C70 coupe which were more modern and you can find pretty cheap good ones out there. Talking about Volvo's how's yours?

  • @2Kriss2Kross It's been great so far :D

  • I LOVE Toyotas, but that 4Runner sounds like a REAL POS!!! DO you have a vid of it?!!

  • @landyachtfan79 In the random stuff I encounter vid. I went up close to it.

  • This is right when the quality of these Volvo's starting downhill. Way down hill. And the maintenance costs are through the roof

I wouldn't touch any volvo made after the 850...... the quality WENT WAY DOWN HILL. Especially the reliability The 240's were the best. My dad had a 1982 240 sedan with 500K+ that was a TMU and was rusted out and went like 15K between oil changes...... those were the good volvos. Not when the V and S series started

  • @ToyotaforCorolla They improved immensely when they added a 5 spd auto in the 2001 S40 & S60 & 2004+ S80. The cars are simple to work with on your own & most parts are inexpensive. Youll get ripped at most mechanic shop tho. Dealt with many and I own a 2001 S60 T5 with 152K & my dad a 2001 S40 1.9T with 161K. Both have been super reliable. I'll admit that during the Late 90's & select early 2000 models where they screwed up badly with models that still used an unreliable 4 speed.

  • @Intechdude300

Actually, I thought it was the 4 speed that was the great tranny. Its the 5 speed thats the horror tranny- check online. I don't know about the preface lift models (05+ V series and 04-06? S series) but I know the cross country wagons ARE HORRIBLE.

  • @ToyotaforCorolla I'm quite positive the 4 speed were the trouble ones. They even used a GM built 4 Speed in the XC90 which just tanked badly. See it all the time & we've dealt with many Volvos. On the 5 speed, volvo says the tranny uses a lifetime fluid where it doesnt need to be serviced. I call it BS as no fluid will ever be the same after a certain time. Despite that, the tranny has a dipstick thats easily accessible along with ability to change its filter. Did it myself on my S60 :P

  • @ToyotaforCorolla I do refer to the 4 Spds used on the FWD Volvos/ The 4 Spd used on their old RWD models were tough like found in 960, 940, 780, 740 & 240
