I'm so glad this is on youtube, it just got deleted off the "watch instantly" section on netflix and I managed to catch it the day before. It was incredible! Much better than the Broadway revival.
THE definitive Amy. Never before, and I doubt ever again, will anybody top Heather Laws. Listen to the audience reactions. THEY know what they're witnessing!
This is awesome! where has this musical been all my life? I just wished i had started loving it long ago lol! and Raul is so believable and the hilarity in this scene is overwhelmingly fabulous
i love that they don't over do this scene. too often it becomes a comedy act where the actress does her best carol burnette impression and everyone rushes through the song becasue they think its funnier when they go faster. but this production just takes it as it comes, makes amy beleivable as she breaks apart, and takes it one word ata time. this is sondheim's writing at it's pinacle.
