  • you all nerd fucks i was searching for Damned Warriors

  • Whas that a mac

  • I'd use this to play Adventure Quest Worlds at school. lol. At school, AQ Worlds is blocked but I could instead access my home computer from the school computer so I can play it at school. No prob! :D Also, what I usually do if I don't know how to access the program that allows me to connect to another computer remotely, I type the full address into the address bar of a web browser like Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. It wouldn't work with Google Chrome nor Opera though.

  • My toaster has better video quality than this.

  • I found this site that shows how to setup Remote Desktop on several versions of windows, it has videos on how to set it all up: howtoremotedesktopfree (dot )com

  • @SuperGlonT warcraft =win 3 was far too blocky. I neeed graphics thats why I dont play wii

  • @jscoggins86 i meant to put warcraft 2, warcraft Orcs vs Humans was way harder than the newer ones. You could only move 4 soldiers at a time and there was no ctrl+1 type grouping, and the computer could attack with as many as it wanted so moving troops was hard. Summoning demons was cool, and the wolfriders...

  • This tutorial is really graceless.

People come here to activate the remote desktop, not to hear about your background.

    thanks for the tutorial anyway.

  • Hmm, i wrote a lot of things wrong, like dont for do, cant for can etc. Thats what less then 5 hours of sleep do to one.

  • Cant you use a computer from another computer? Play games watch movie. Say your using acrap computer, and you have a infinitly powerful computer somewhere. Now any computer can use that computer and be amaaiaiziaing. And the remote computer would do is send you frame by frame pictures of what is going on so there would be lag for you if the other computer can handle it. Well i just woke up.

  • help por favor a serial pro please

192.168.1.7 is you're local IP, how do you connect to home computer using that?

  • @maans88 shes on a local network it wouldn't matter now if these laptops weren't on the same network it would

  • @farstarfilms You create a user account on the computer you're trying to connect to.

  • i know how to obtain ip im juts saying that you should included that in your tutorial also the importance on the computers having an internet connection

  • How Did You Obtain The ip address From the Home Computer I think that is something That you should Include in the Video Did yiou obtain It From your CMd or did you just retreave it by Right Click On my Computers And properties Good tutorial just lots of missing Info thast all

  • @changoleon2222 if you type in cmd in the start menu to find the Command Prompt

It will be a black screen, most likely c:/>system32: (BLANK)

type in "ipconfig" without the quotes. the IPv4, IP, or IPv6 address will be yours.

  • tnx for tutorial

  • Need web hosting, vps, semi dedicated or dedicated server go to ........... thewowhelper (dot) com and get yours today!!!!

  • do you need internet to do this?

  • is there any other way to control other machines remotely other than through the internet? ;)

  • easy and sort way to acces remote computer.............download timeviwer software and install it..........it is free ,,,,,search on google, after instalation u will see your computer's id and passowrd......so the same thing on another computer and copy it's id and password in your computer ........now u can access remotly

  • dont use teamview if youuseing your network use remote

  • you cant connect to a home computer using only NAT IP address... you should be using an IP provided by your Internet Service Provider ( u can get ur ISP-IP Address on some website on the net)...and then have ur router port-forwarded on port 3389...

  • remote desktop can only work on the same network. You can create a home network over the Internet by using a VPN(virtual privet network). after your home computer and work computer are on the VPN then you can access the RD. ipconfig/all in Comand promt for the following IP's

  • Sure works fine for me over the internet, though, I would recommend using a VPN where available, since Windows XP RDP doesn't encrypt traffic. (atleast I don't think it does, they might have updated it though)

  • Well said!

  • ma statt citt!!!!

  • You cheated :-).

192.168.x.x is a private network. What I'm interested is connecting to my computer in the cloud. I've configured the router to forward traffic from port 3389 (RD) to my pc. I've configured remote desktop to accept connections and everything but something is missing. Any ideas?

  • You need the IP adress assigned by your ISP. use google and ask whats my Ip or something like that to find it. use the address you found as the IP for RD. Looks like you have the rest of it configured, so you should be good to go.

  • thats all you have to do. works fine for me

  • What IP would you actually use to use connect remotely over the net?

  • This example doesn't apply. The IP address she's using and the way she's connecting is only applicable to computers on the same network. To connect to remote computers (on separate networks) you would have to use the public IP address, or use a VPN using that same address and then RDC in like she's shown here.

  • how do i get the public ip

  • @ManOfMeans hey i'm having the problem you're talking about how do i get the public ipadress?

  • @MJBDC07 You can get your public IP address a few different ways (actually it's your router's public IP address.) The easiest way is to google "what's my ip address." Just click into one of the links there and it'll show you your router's external-facing IP address.

  • @ManOfMeans hey i found it but it still doesn't work when i try to connect from outside my network:(

  • @MJBDC07 What type of Firewall are you running? Is your Firewall turned off? Did you enable connections from Remote Computers?

  • @ManOfMeans i'm using noton 360 on both pcs and remote is enabled.

  • nice !!! i have a question what if they dont work on a network?? how you will know the ip?

  • wow bum .

  • thanks for upload this video it helped me alot ^_^ hope to learn another trick lol

  • this was very informative for me , because i didn't know head and tail of what RDP , but ad heard of it thats all

so thank yu who ever you are who uploaded this video and all the best for your future

  • so how do you access a computer which is behind a router???

  • she is using internal ip address :)

  • To Doomkid117, you can find the Remote Desktop Connection at the Start > All Programs > Accessories , it would be at the bottom. Enjoy

  • this only works if both computers are on the same network this is nonsence

  • Do you have to have Vista Business or higher on both Computers or can the one connecting to the home computer be just home edition?

  • i think she's very hot.

  • hey i go to fsu!

  • yea do u really want to find out there watching porn then go in there room and see nasty things?

  • y dont i have remote desktop thing on comunication

  • go to start search and type in remote desktop

  • Port forward your router to port 3389 and run MSTSC get you bastard IP address and fucking log into you PC From anywhere you dull cunts. I only said she was a slut cause i would fuck her. By the way whats your number ?

  • excellent tutorial, thank you

  • Yeah she is a slut because SHE CAN SLEEP WITH ANYBODY, whereas YOU, LOSER just end up here TRASHING THIS HELPFUL VIDEO and fucking eat fastfood. Go choke on a broccoli you fuck fart.

  • yes! vista - xp vice versa! but i think its more complicated in router system, cause she's using the same network enviroment, try showing us VPN connection or other ISP, id really apreciate that! tnx

  • hey good video, but I have some questions, when you computer(home) is in one local net , and you in your in other computer, we think in you job, other local net, but in both we have internet, How you enter with remote desktop from you home computer?

    Thanks

    Hector

  • does this work to connect vista to xp home edition

  • when i connect it show. /the client could nt connect.u r aldy connected to the console of tis computer.....' pls hlp

  • hi Ms.Gina, Nicely done, keep up the good work. hope you would post a video on RDC over the Wide Area Network using the internet. Also say someting about non microsoft RDC utilities..

    gbu.

  • I've never been able to get remote desktop to work. If anyone is willing to try to get it to work on my computer, to take control of my computer, let me know. You can im me on yahoo at: tosheldon

  • Um, I wouldnt let strangers use remote desktop on ur pc if i were u

  • Does your computer has to be on before you connect to it remotely?

  • I cant get the clipboard to work form me... I click copy but when i right click on my remote desktop the option isnt there. can some one help??

  • It can only work in local network. There is sa simple way to make you can remote desktop access your office PC from home or other place, the name is 'Gooer Remote Desktop Service'

  • her ip address is a local ip. if u were at work, the ip wouldnt start with "192.x.x.x".

  • yeah, usually 192.168.0.X or 192.168.1.X

  • The 192.168.x.x rang is what is called a class C range. You acutally need to setup your home router to accept remote connections and possibly even a VPN connection(maybe). While this video is good for accessing a PC is the same IP Class or range, your work PC connection through to your home PC needs to go through your ISP. A lot more complicated. Not to mention the speed will be slooww.... all in all, Good example for your desktop PC in your office, and your laptop in the living room. Womb@.

  • Yes I noticed that after I sent the message. I taught he was asking for the IP of his computer at home.

    My mistake, you're right.

  • youve got the exactly the same taskbar setup as me lol

zune theme, on 2 levels and the quick launch on the bottom :D

  • first of all this dont work they way you showed it. Just watch my video of my page for an easier tutorial and software.

  • Okay, all the settings are perfect but for no reason, it doesn't connect. Also apparently my home computer doesn't even have the setting selection to allow remote access.

But then, it doesn't even work going from desktop to laptop, so it doesn't matter anyway.

  • Oh never mind. For me "remote" is under Performance and Maintenance > System.

  • I don't have the settings option for remote desktop, yet I have the program to connect. Where do I get the settings?

  • If you hate computers, why did you go for a carear in information technology?

Also, I noticed that you showed how to remotely connect to a computer... that's in the person's local network. Typing 192.168.1.7 for the IP address at your workplace will not work, considering that the 192.169.. relates only to the local network.

  • Overall, the video was pretty good, but if you really want to knock my socks off, show me how to remotely connect from my workplace to a computer in my home network. I've been trying to figure that out, but have had no luck.

If I used a hostname, it would probably be easier, but I don't have a hostname, and would rather not buy anything to accomplish that.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • My thing keeps saying:

The client could not connect to the remote computer.

    :( Please help me someone

  • i just read this, and i just want to tell that ive got thousands of people to make fun

mostly because they cant win an argument with me, or just because they say stupid things like 2+2=2 or 2x2=2 (a friend of mine said that in front of his maths teacher)

anyway, i love when someone can survive an argument with me

now, back to the main issiue: since we have lots of people to make fun, deleting this video wouldnt make any impact on our lives

btw whats wrong in hosting the video in youtube?

  • whot the hell is that related to my comment

  • Not bad, but you could add some error sulutions though to help out other people that get errors, otherswise 4/5

  • hey does the first computer has to be ON for this to work? or Can it be off?

  • has to be on of course.

  • Rubbish video, you cannot connect it, until u dont have a static IP on the remote computer

  • it works without second user permission ?

  • ohh im sorry if you do ipconfig and you look at default gateway you will know your router internal ip address but if you want your pc internal ip your gona want to search for the ip address on the cmd

  • internal ip can be a few examples to know your exact 1 you go go start > run > type: cmd then it should open a window type in there: ipconfig there it show you your currect default gateway somewhere on that list there you have it!

  • Thats for the first computer on the internal network. So this laptop or desktop is the seventh connection on the router. What would have been a better video would be one that tells people how to enable port forwarding on their routers to allow you to use programs like remote desktop to access from home.

  • hey retard you forgot to check the remote desktop box under the exceptions under Microsoft Firewall... =)

  • Alguie puede en poner en español? geacias.

  • Someone needs to go back to school and pay attention in class! IF you are going to "REMOTE" like this, just don't leave the building.

Mom and Dad should get a refund.

  • Haha, way to use your internal IP address, 192.168.1.7.... FAIL. Good luck actually connecting from home using that address...

  • TightVNC

  • This one is very very clear.... thanks:D

  • um yea i need help when i pull up that properties menu.. theres only one checkbox and the bottom of the window on mine does not have all of those options!

  • lol, a home computer has IP address started with 192.168.X.X and you claimed that you can connect to it.

  • arobe733: That's immoral. Would you stare at your kids through the entire night through a peephole in their wall they didn't know about? If you wouldn't do this, there's no difference in what you're trying to do with the computer.

  • @StephenTCooney It's obviouse you don't understand how Remote Desktop works if u think this is used for spying on kids.

  • @stonewallrocky Or perhaps you didn't read what I was replying to. It had nothing to do with how remote desktop functions.

  • So, I did this video for a final project in one of my classes. It's kinda lame, but hopefully it helped some people figure out Remote Desktop. And I did use two different computers which explains the changing desktop (one for the Home computer, one for the Remote computer).

  • little screen

  • Did anyone else notice that the appearance of her "home" desktop changes

  • lmao yes it changed from the default media center theme to the ugly zune theme!...i think they just changed the wallpaper

  • Haha. We have got the same theme. Any maybe the same laptop ^^(inspiron 1300)

  • Your IP is a gateway address. In order to access from a remote computer offsite, you will have to first configure the your gateway/router. Next you have to know your IP address that your internet provider provides you. It will work fine if you're on the same workgroup at home but it completely different configuration when you are really accessing the computer remotely.

  • Hi, she shows how to connect to an "same network" pc that she called "home" with an internal IP address. I would like to see how to configure a remote "host" to connect over the internet; maybe using web connection .

Do you have a GOOD link or source that can help me?

    Thank you

  • anyone else dsee the flaw in her ip address being 192.168.1.7? lol

  • That isint a flaw, That is the ip used thought a network such as a router or switch box!

  • i want one remote desketop ... can you provide?

  • Its cool dat u know now how to remote desktop when you watched this clip, keep learning...

  • tell me more about remote desktop

  • me and my friends remote desktopped this annoying kid in our class so when the teacher came to see what he was working on a bunch of porn popped up

    It was hilarious!!!

  • thats amazing :) hahaaha he get in trouble??

  • I bet you don't know shit about computers

  • yea u are right

  • cool, 10 seconds for saying your titles c.c.c.

  • @ last sum 1 told me how 2 get into mw comp yay

  • you ommitted one piece of very important information!!! YOUR computer has to be part of a DOMAIN to ALLOW users to access a remote desktop. Also you cant read the screen use a pan scan capture device to 'zoom in' the relevent area of the screen. YOU also ommitted how to get the IP adress from the original computer. I am assuming your trying to tell people who dont have a IT degree right? Thus you MUST include this info..otherwise you just get lots of peps saying "well i did that on mine!!"

  • yeah i saw the world of warcraft logo :))
