Sir, thank you for posting this and being an activist for justice. I'm also OANG and have recently had a marginalizing experience when I observed the reaction from our chaplain when I requested my religious preference be updated to reflect Atheist. As a result, I have been motivated to reach out to my fellow soldiers who are also nonbelievers. I became a member of MAAF and encouraged my peers to do the same. Again, thank you for being a part of leading the way!
Terrible story, LT. I'm retired USAF enlisted and served openly as an atheist in four countries. I had my battles, these comments were discriminatory. You have some great data. I wore 'atheist' on my dog tags, I still have one. It's still partly black from being a boot tag.
JESUS CHRIST, HIS CATHOLIC-UNIVERSAL-APOSTOLIC CHURCH, SACRAMENTS, THE BIBLE, MIRACLES, HEALINGS, ST. MARY APPARITIONS, MESSAGES FROM HEAVEN, SIGNS IN 2011 ARE NOT A MYTHOLOGY BUT THE REALITY !!!
I could not imagine being a "Christian"- knowing that I am being watched and judged EVERY minute of EVERY day- and being agreeable to KILL people for a paycheck.....
I don't know, I don't find the statement "atheists are lesser soldiers than their religious counter-parts" offensive at all. I am a human being, not some fucking killing machine for scumbag elites.
They have stupid group prayers all the time for Christianity? I dont understand it. At my brother's first little league game, they started with an opening Christian prayer. There were muslims, jews, and atheists all there to watch their children play. This is not acceptable for a secular government organization.
It is foolish indeed. I agree with you. The bible says the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. Here's the thing. When god saves someone, then He opens their eyes to see and understand.
The troll was successful, yet if he wasn't he's a complete idiot to say the very least. I would also like to add how christians do not allow comments that go against them in their videos while atheists allow comments. Coincidence? I think not.
@Blasthood It's because Christianity (as well as most religions) can't hold it's ground in an open forum type of environment. It needs a controlled area where only one side is able to say anything to retain believers, when questioned and held in a critical light it crumbles into the bullshit that it is.
Are these kind of comments only punishable because they are in speeches or public statements (if it were a different group)? While I agree with not using taxpayer money for discrimination, I have a problem if these rules apply to personal attitudes and statements.
what if muslims said that "there are no christians in fox holes"? the shit whuld hit the fan so hard. but when people say "there are no atheists in foxholes hurr durr" everyone is laughing. army is soposed to be army, not some sunday school. if you want to practice your religion, go ahead. but if your religion is coming in to the barracks and its intefiering with others, then its too far.
I would argue for having more atheists in the military. If you do not believe in an afterlife or reincarnation, then you might be more inclined to hold your life and the life of your buddies as an extremely precious thing. An atheist could be a better defender as a result of this motive
Want to be an atheist? You may want to listen to this interview with former atheist Howard Storm: video(add DOT)google(add DOT)com/videoplay?docid=2094001112814040004&hl=en#
@stevekramer2u Gasp. A person near death had a hallucination and irrationally accepted it as true. A SURE sign that there must be some kind of god! Please... if all the theists who deconvert don't convince most theists that they're wrong, why should a converted atheist?
I'm a Senior Airman (E4) in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and I'm also an atheist. Not openly I must admit, but I've been known not to bow during prayer that was originally mandatory gatherings. This is a hard one, because atheism should NOT be considered a religion. However, it should be a veiwpoint respected and acknowledged to the same degree as other viewpoints. America is still in growing pains, but it is still worth fighting for. Thank you for your service Sir.
Only through Jesus Christ will you find life. There is no other way. Hope and purpose comes from Him. Don't waste your life away without knowing how amazing God is. Repent and turn to Him. Jesus loves you.
@717ukPaul Loves us? So let me ask you this if your children didn't believe in you because you provided no evidence of your existence, you would throw them into a torture chamber for eternity and that would be love?
@DarkBunnyLord All men have sinned against God. Lied, stole and many more. God crushed the most precious thing to Him. His Son Jesus Christ on the cross so that our sins could be washed away. If someone rejects that then they deserve hell. Because no wicked person can enter into heaven. We must be washed in the Blood of Christ.
@717ukPaul Again you must be joking. You're telling me God, this all powerful being that knew everything that would happen if he set things the way he did despite having infinite options, had to sacrifice himself to himself to circumvent his own plan?
I'm sorry but why not just forgive? Why the convoluted need for bloodshed and blind faith. Blind faith has brought us war, hate, etc. If "faith" is the requirement you might as well roll dice as faith is believing in what you don't know to be true.
@DarkBunnyLord He didnt sacrifice Himself. He sacrificed His precious Son for your sin. All sin deserves justice. God is just. If a murderer was told by a judge that He was free to go that would that be right? I don't fully understand how everything works but I know that I need a saviour. That I need forgiveness for every bad thing I have ever done. And Christ paid it all on the cross. He paid the price for my sins and the sins of the world.
@717ukPaul Pardon but doesn't Jesus say he and God are one in the same? John 10:30, John 14:7-10, John 17:11 I could go on but you'd have to actually read the book you're preaching.
On top of this it doesn't make it just. NO finite crime could EVER deserve eternal torment. However if you never stole, killed, raped, etc and at most maybe cursed, or where angry from time to time somehow you're claiming it is just to torture such a person for eternity just because they didn't buy into faith? (cont)
@DarkBunnyLord romans 5:6-8 says that just at the right time, while we are helpless, Christ died for the ungodly. We must see the black filth of our sin before a holy God and abandon all hope in self. Realise we have nothing to offer God. But look to Christ and His finished work on the Cross. True freedom and rest is found in Him alone. Jesus paid it all/
@717ukPaul Pardon but how is it a sacrifice if you become God? That's like saying "I sacrificed my rollerblades for a BMW". On top of this it doesn't solve the issue that God could have "just forgiven" he is all powerful and does make the rules after all right? So why then did he need to torture and kill someone, which btw still didn't save people as they then had to "Believe" in it with the only recorded evidence being in a book claiming historical falsehoods such as the age of the earth (cont)
@717ukPaul (cont) the global flood that never happened (it left absolutely no evidence), talking donkeys, snakes, the massive inbreeding that would be necessary for the story to work (both with Adam/Eve and then again with Noah and his family), etc.
All of this resting on "faith" which again is like rolling dice because it provides no more evidence than one of the litterally thousands of other religions. (Not to mention once again that it is in no way just).
@DarkBunnyLord The biggest crime man could commit is to reject Jesus Christ. Isaiah 53 says that God was pleased to crush His Son. This is how much He loves us. That He gave His Son for us so that we could have forgiveness. If someone rejects this then surely this alone deserves eternal punishment. Along with the persons many evil sins and thoughts. For God looks at the heart and the motive. If you look at a woman lustfully then you have commited adultery etc.
@717ukPaul And that's how I know I, as well as most people, are more moral than God. If the biggest crime a person can commit is to use their brain and be skeptical, especially about something that claims to weigh on them for the rest of eternity, then God is evil and twisted for not providing definitive evidence to ensure the things he claims he "love" won't be tortured.
I'm sorry, but that's not love. Is there ANY situation in which you would torture your children? Let alone for eternity?
@DarkBunnyLord Have you ever heard the saying. God loves the sinner but hates the sin? Psalm 5:5 says that God hates all who work iniquity (sin). Some people have a wrong understanding of who God is. Yes God is love. But God hates sin. When someone is truly born again and turns to Christ. Then they become His children. Until that then they are children of Satan.
@717ukPaul I'm sorry but again no, that's not love. If you love someone you don't torture them for eternity, not for any reason. In fact there is no way ANY thing we do would make such a punishment just, no matter how evil. You're talking about a finite, limited crime, for an Infinite punishment. The punishment is therefor infinitely more evil than the crime and thus not just.
Then God is evil, plain and simple. To condemn people for skepticism for ignorance is pure evil.
@DarkBunnyLord That's what the point is what I wrote. God hates all who work iniquity. So you are saying that God loves them. But the scripture says that God doesnt love them. Otherwise He wouldnt send them to hell.
@717ukPaul No, I'm not saying God loves them, I'm saying God DOESN'T love people, ISN'T merciful, and ISN'T just. There mere fact that he'd apply an infinite punishment for a finite crime with the only out being "guessing" which God is real and hoping you got it right makes him inherently evil and callous towards humanity. (The character that is, I don't for a second believe he exists anyways.)
@DarkBunnyLord If you have a bible i urge you to read John 3:16. Read it a few times and think about it. Make it personal. This is about your soul. For what price can we put on a soul? For God so loved you. That he gave His Son Jesus Christ to die on a cross for you. So that if you believe in Him, you shall not perish but have eternal life. Eternal life spent with Christ in paradise. There is nothing more important. Also check out the Paul washer video on youtube - shocking youth message.
@717ukPaul Stop saying "God loved you" or "God loves you", I've already proven that bullshit as no one that loved someone would hand out the punishment he does to someone they claimed to love for ANY reason, including sin.
The sacrifice is also nonsense, if I pushed you off a boat and then threw you a life vest how would that be an act of love? This is what God has done, he has set up a system where you're guilty before you've done anything and then punishes you for this unless you accept him.
@717ukPaul I'm sorry to say this, but if you have the audacity to support Christianity, then you should be ashamed of yourself.
If you are only listening to what others have told you and have not yet read your Bible (The Bible, not a prayer guide or a Bible guidebook, but the actual Bible), then I STRONGLY advise you to do so. You will be shocked.
If you have read your Bible fully, yet still insist on worshiping Yahweh, then you need to wake up, take a step back, and reconsider your life.
@artemis3120 I didn't choose God, but He chose me and had mercy on me when i was dead in my sin. I had no hope and did nothing but sin against God, but still He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for my sin and yours on a cross. He paid the price in full and stood in my place. Now i have a hope. The best hope you could possibly have. Only when God opens our eyes can we understand the bible. Run to God and repent. Find true eternal life. May He open your eyes to see the beauty of Christ.
@717ukPaul I'm telling you this not through ignorance, but through concern. Please, sit down and read your Bible from cover to cover. Have you done this yet in your time as a Christian?
@artemis3120 I have read most of it, maybe all. A small part of the old testament maybe i have missed. I tend to not read book by book but read certain parts at a time. Mainly the new testament.
@717ukPaul Try reading the Old Testament, which is the foundation of Judaism and Christianity alike.
I guarantee that if you are a humane, compassionate person, it will make you think twice about following Christianity. It is true that the Bible contains a lot of good, but it also contains and endorses horrible atrocities that we, in good conscience, cannot overlook.
@artemis3120 God is just in all His ways. Everything He does is perfect and right. Jesus died for you. God crushed Him on the Cross so that you could be forgiven for your sins and spend eternal life with Him. Jesus suffered greatly in your place. Surely every bad thing that you have ever done and thought deserves punishment and eternal hell. But Jesus took our punishment on the Cross upon Himself and made a way for you to be forgiven. There is hope in Christ alone. Repent and turn to Him.
@717ukPaul I am sorry to say, but this is exactly what I am talking about. You have not shown me that you are familiar with your own religion, but have just told me what I already know. I used to be a very devout Christian before I read the Bible myself and saw the truth behind what I had previously followed blindly.
What you are showing me here is that it is not necessary to read the Bible nor even know the basics of Christianity in order to be a "Christian." I implore you, read your Bible!
@artemis3120 You are maybe mistaking true christianity with being a catholic right? Do you believe you were a Christian because you were sprinkled with water as a child before you were old enough to repent and believe the gospel? So in this case it was forced upon you and you had no choice. Which is false Christianity i'm afraid. Jeus said you must be born again.
@717ukPaul Even if that were the case, those words could apply to any denomination. You were Catholic and are now atheist? Catholicism isn't *true* Christianity. You were Born-Again? Well everyone knows that's not *true* Christianity. What determines a religion's or a specific denomination's validity? It must be proven through the Bible, and no Bible, any Bible out there, stands up to even the lowest moral standards we have today.
Do you take the Bible as Yahweh's divine word and commandment?
@717ukPaul "If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, 'This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.' Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death."
@717ukPaul This doesn't seem to address the content of the video. Are you in agreement that atheists should be discriminated against or do you support freedom of religion?
@717ukPaul (cont) You then bring up Thought crime, how lovely. EVERY man that has ever mated with a women has looked at her lustfully before he even started dating her. It's how our brains are wired, how is it fair for a creator to make us have these urges and then say "hey those urges are bad". Not such an intelligent design choice especially considering that if we didn't have those lustful feelings no one would ever mate and man kind would die out. See how stupid the stuff you're quoting is?
@717ukPaul (cont) Paid the price how? You still haven't explained this. If your father worked in my orange grove and ate one of my oranges would it then be just for me to come to you and say "Hey your dad ate one of my oranges so you, your children, your grandchildren and so on and so forth are going to be tortured for eternity... but I love you. Luckily for you though I took my son, tortured and killed him and if you accept this I can forgive you of a crime you never committed, aren't I just?"
Don't forget that you'll always be welcome in lots of other countries where a man's value is based on his character and his behaviour instead of his imaginary friends. I'm from belgium, we appreciate someone who is able to think for himself.
My good sir, amongst all this bigotry I must applaud you for your courage to fight against the harsh gradient sent against you. I stand in awe sir to your courage.
im an atheist currently serving in the army. off the top i just want to say that for the most part i respect everyones beliefs. but the military is where ive met the most hypocrytical religious people. i dare not counteract tho for "fear" of isolation
You, sir, I would trust as my CO. My current one doesn't understand what it's like to be Enlisted, but at least you seem to have a brain in your head!
@MrLalama2 it was 1864! if he would say he was an atheist he would have been killed......earlier, he was saying it just to please the populous...besides this doesn't justify you saying im not an american! so even tho im in the army, im not an american? then your fucked up
@MrLalama2 61? of course that makes sense! its always you old fucks who bitch about anyone who are not american born, white, male republicans! if you really are 61 then this reinforces my stance that old people are racist, homophobic, sexist and intolerant fucks....i dont belive those conservative fucks who say were a christian nation..BULLSHIT..were a secular nation, thats what the founding fathers wanted, religion and government separate, in fact i dont think churches should pay lots of taxes
I respect you and thank you for serving our country. What the chief did was uncalled for, and it is discrimination. I don't approve of the the Christians that do show hate towards atheists. These kind of people really piss me off. I am a Christian myself, but not one to show hate.

If you don't believe in God, YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN. If you pay taxes yet you don't believe in God, YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN. If you were born on American yet you don't believe in God, YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN. If you don't want prayer and the Bible honored in public schools, YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN. If you are an atheist YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN.
@MrLalaman1 Thank you for posting here. Your ignorant rants only affirm my assertion that there are plenty of inbred, knuckle-dragging retards out there who are completely blind to reality.
@MrLalaman1 If you want to live in a theocracy please move to Iran!! I am gay, an athiest and served in the Navy for 22 years and receive a retirement check you pay for to prove it. Thanks for the beer!
@MrLalaman1 wow did you know most of the founding fathers were atheists? did you know Lincoln was an atheist? these were the TRUEST OF TRUEST OF AMERICANS,so you mr llama believe anyone not like you is not an american? well i hope you the best, and i know one day your intolerance will bite you in the ass
@MrLalaman1 the majority of our founding fathers were actaully christian u cunt alot of them were deists or ambivolent of the christian god for example george washington was a deist, thomas Jefferson possibly agnostic created something called the jefferson bible were he tore out all the pages of the bible he didnt believe and left the parts aboout being kind to others etc and in the end he was left with a small sliver , thomas payne didnt believe any of it that was just a taste of some of them
@MrLalaman1 wow, your just the kind of mindless biggot that he is talking about in the video. Just so you know. I dont believe in any God and they still gave me a passport. I am more american than your are since you seen to have no regard for the constitution. Thomas Jefferson was rumored to be an atheist, is he an American. Please stop talking, your the reason Europe thinks Americans are stupid.
@MrLalaman1 I do not believe you're American or even human for that matter... its obvious that you do not have the ability to read the Constitution which actually defines whats American...
@MrLalaman1 HAHAHAHAHA. oooh boy, the crazies come out. funny how the US constitution disagrees with you. have you ever read it? no religious test to hold office. government not allowed to establish an official religion. well, you probably havent read that document. just reaffirms your ignorance. atheists are here, and we have the same rights you do. if you dont like it, perhaps yyou should move to a theocracy where atheism is not allowed. Iran would be right up your alley, you ignorant shit.
@MrLalaman1 Wow... So anyone who isn't a Christian is not an American even though an early congress, with a founding father whom was a Christian Presiding, ratified a treaty stating we are not a Christian nation, nor founded on Christian dogmas or scripture.
There were many influential people in that time who did not believe in the god you believe in. Were they not Americans? Americans are supposed to believe in a separation between church and state, and freedom of thought, 1ST AMENDMENT!
Thank you for serving in the military.. now get out of the country, heathen scum? Given that you are an unapologetic bigot, is it any wonder you get banned from people's channels?
Look at the comments you leave people.. & how they react to you. Do you honestly believe that you are making the world a better place??? Do you honestly think you are persuading anyone to turn to god?
The military loves religion because it proves obedience. The bible is full of sheep and shepherds, the brass consider themselves shepherds, guess what they consider you to be? Religion is a group think, not a good idea, never a good idea.

In a society such as America, founded on the Truth of God's Word and originally sworn to be one Nation under God, most average NORMAL Amercans will not accept such heathenism in their midst. I f you refuse to honor God and Country, WE WILL NOT HONOR NOR RESPECT YOU BECAUSE YOU DO NOT DESERVE IT.
@mrtadreamer "originally sworn to be one nation under God"? Learn some American history. Those words were added to the pledge in 1954 and this country was founded on the constitution, not the Bible. It's moronic, willfully ignorant bigots like you who would see this country turned into some backwards theocracy like Iran. Well, dumb-ass, this is my country too and I will never let cretins like you destroy it because of your childish belief in a middle eastern fairy tale.

@tillnow67 America has never belonged to the heathen. It belongs to those of us who honor and respect the God of our fathers, and you can't have it, and there's nothing you can do about it. If you don't like it, YOU ARE NOT AN AMERICAN. There's the border. Don't let the gate hit your fannies on the way out.
@mrtadreamer Like it or not fucktard, your religious freedom is secured by guys like me and while I will stand shoulder to shoulder with you to defend your rights I will also go toe to toe with you to defend mine. Thanks to me, you are free to spout your ridiculous, bigoted drivel when you should just say thank you and then shut the fuck up. The country you want is a place where you can claim your own rights while denying them to others. Go somewhere else then because THAT is not American.
@tillnow67 Shhh.. They'll never understand. They don't understand the true meaning of freedom. Standing side by side them and giving up your life for them to be able to vomit their opinions is something they won't understand. You have my utmost respect, sir.
@mrtadreamer Keep ignoring the constitution idiot it really shows your level of education and how lacking it is. Try opening a history book sometime we fell away from england to ESCAPE religious rule, not to come and make another country found on a hateful oppressive religion.
So in short, educate yourself because you're just showing how stupid you are by ignoring separation of Church and State.
@mrtadreamer gee. majority of nobel price winners are atheists. atheists make bigger number in prosents then in civilian population. so atheist seem to be more rational and allso more experiensed soldiers. while you just sit in your fat ass in some room typing shit on the internet. america was founded by atheists and deists. the christians just leached the fruits of labour that more rational people grew.
I will respect anyone who puts their life on the line for me country, regardless of religion. The people I have no respect for and who do not deserve my honor or anyone elses are lowlife false Christians who desecrate memorial services servicemen, and call doing so "Christian". Gutless, bloodsucking leaches.
And as my user name attests, I am Christian
Christians stole the land from the Indians, so don't say it never belonged to the heathen because it did.
@mrtadreamer I love the hatred and biggotry in your words. Your the example of the rediculous and dumb Christian. Jesus would be ashamed of you, he wouldnt want you to disrespect people for their beliefs. I can honor my country without believing in a god. Being an American has nothing to do with your beliefs in god. This video seems to have brought out the dumbest of the Theists.
@mrtadreamer do you take pride in your ignorance? " under god" did not appear until the 20th century. the founding fathers did not found this country on god's word, but rather on separation of church and state. read the damn constitution. hell, even john adams stated clearly that " Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion" read your history you ignorant little twit.
Atheist in the AF... When chaplains give the invocation at official events (that I would of course get in trouble for not attending), I sit down. During a chaplains speech, I walked out until he was finished. When asked to attend National Prayer Breakfasts, I emphatically decline.
Thanks for your service Lt. Both in, and out of uniform.
Atheists are the most discriminated group in the world. Sadly there will be a lot of Christian funamantalists running on the republican ticket in 2012. My atheist friends will enjoy "Religious fanatic debates Atheist" on my channel.
It doesn't surprise me that the military has elements in it that openly discriminate against Atheists. 40 years ago, if you were found out to be Atheist, you would have been denied a job and ostracized from many people around you. The same thing happened to black people for a very long time. Now that racial discrimination is denounced by most people, minorities are finally being treated more like first-class citizens. Unfortunately Atheists are still fair-game by bigots.
I never realised how severe this problem is.. It's great that your taking a stand and putting a face on this problem. I am really considering joining the Australian Defence Force (going for medic) and I am an atheist. I'm joining because I love Australia and I love people. I know there's plently of bad people and I know there would be dickheads in the army. But because I do not subscribe to a religion I would like to help people regardless of religion, why im still kicking.
good soldier. well done. I served, and am going back, and am atheist. I never put up with bullshit like you're going through. if someone wants to say something about atheism, i just make a few pointed statements about religion in general. it tends to make them feel pretty dumb.
I'm an atheist and currently serving in the army. When I come back from afghanistan I will write a book, "Atheist in a Foxhole". That will show these bigoted bastards.
@caddy38 Does anyone know your an atheist? Or are you just quiet about it? I am an atheist, and I want to join the army or marines, and I want to know if I should just keep my mouth shut about being an atheist.
@ChoolyBuzkill No man, you don't have to be quiet about it. If you say you are an atheist, people will want to pick your brain apart. You have to know your shit. If you have solid reasons for being atheist and able to communicate those ideas, people will respect you.
@ChoolyBuzkill I was in the Navy for 22 years and I am gay and an atheist. I never had any problems. The Bible belters will try and shove their crap down your throat but just tell them you are not interested. Most of the time these creeps will leave you alone.
@caddy38 That honestly sounds like an awesome title. Very vague, meaning you have a wide variety of topics to write about or a big story to create. Also, it sounds very deep. Blunt usually makes me think deep.
I am an atheist and I plan on joining the military, would anyone with experience please recommend which branch is the most tolerant to those without religious affiliation?
@TheTrojanfootballer I'm planning on join Army Special Forces as well, but special forces are a bit more tolerant since everyone focus on their jobs instead of on trifles.
What's the point of fighting in a Holy War, especially one that might be simply because of oil resources and throwing your one and only existence away to a government that doesn't even respect/recognize you?
Good job! Although I am against the whole military actions, I am proud of you for not putting up with that disgusting discrimination. If anything, they should say atheists are the biggest heros..
Theists go into the army, probably for the same reasons as atheists (to serve their country..) BUT Christians fall back theory is that if they die, they go to heaven or so... Atheist soldiers know this is it, and they sacrifice themselves for the good of humanity.
I used to be a MP in the Army, so I understand how backwards Military justice is. I was both Active Duty and Reserves. Active Duty in Germany was intolerable and most EO complaints were swept under the rug. Now, when I was in the Reserves we had an incredible Captain. He actually told an Army chaplain to get the "F" out of here because he caught him disrespecting his LT. who was an atheist. Yes, my former Capt. was a Christian but a very good man.
i agree there are kliks in the military, "especially in the national guard. if you don't play golf well, kiss butt, don't "volunteer" to donate for a lobbyist organization that can't justify its worth or existence, gaining credit for legislative actions in support of military pay and benefits that had nothing to do with their influence, or are not related to someone, or who they know. (nepotism hiring and underhanded promotion practices in violation of the promotion systems)
Great post mate. Its interesting when you snoop around the history of Euro-American nations and find 'elite' families like the Rotheschilds put down - in the nineteenth century - a three-World-War plan that (in the final war) favoured Christianity against Islam as the world entered the 21st century.
I ask: Is this issue really systemic? Is it a civil problem or an organised political movement? Has this occured previously in history? And most relevant: Do all faiths share the same God??
@DarrelfromZeeland Jesus taught in the Bible that when a man curses or uses profanity it is a sign of evil that was in that man's heart. It is popular today for both men and women to curse. They never think of it as an evil condition in their heart, but rather a small thing that everyone does. These small words of cursing the Bible says, will defile the whole man if they are not repented of and stopped. Even Cussing and using the name of the Lord in vain causes one to become defiled
@DarrelfromZeeland Thanks for the post! Sometimes it's hard for people to believe that there are such ridiculous, retarded assholes out there like you. So when you cretins spew your "christian" drivel here it only proves my point that you inbred knuckle-draggers are indeed out there.
@DarrelfromZeeland Let me go out on a limb here. You are a Christian, am I right? I'm retired military and served my country as an atheist so you can keep the right for free speech; enjoy.
The military is packed with atheists and homosexuals. It is no mystery to the people that actually serve(d).
@DarrelfromZeeland The world would be a better place without such proud actions. There must be more to your story or you are older than me. The first thing Clinton did was implement the Don't ask; Don't tell policy in the military. You would have had to witness them in the act or they confided in you.
@DarrelfromZeeland Fucking up the military? Let's see if I got this right- an atheist wanting to serve this country is more harmful to the military than the neocon chickenhawks who sent them into harm's way in insufficient numbers and lacking the equipment to do the job? Am I right?
@DarrelfromZeeland I prefer critical thinking rationalist to serve in our military. Not somebody that believes in invisible sky daddy's. Religion divides and destroys humanity. I can assure you that more atheists in the military will only improve every branch of our military. I'm a veteran submariner and an atheist. Most to nearly all my shipmates were also atheist. All my ships ran very well!
@DarrelfromZeeland you religious people are funny when you show your angry side kind of cute actually its like we the free thinkers are training pets now don't use your holy scripture to justify stupid things such as murder and bigotry and we won't have to rub your noses in it like the pile of shit it is
@DarrelfromZeeland Thomas Jefferson, the greatest american who ever lived, the third president of the united states, the author of the Declaration of Independence said "I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature"
Tillnow67: I didn't have this issue. I'm retired Air Force. I was a bit proud about it and that seemed to work for me. I had a young LT Chaplin give a speech and mentioned that atheists were evil people. I stood and raised my hand. He called on me and I told him that I was an atheist and that, "I'm not evil". I simply sat down and gave a general opology. Atheists came out to me in droves, in private of course. I'm sorry you were not able to have a career in the Army.
@matthewtaylorbrown Well frankly I WOULD have been able to have a career in the Army, in fact I served for more than 13 years. I just wasn't willing to put up with the obvious double standard applied to atheists in the military. I'm sure there are many who are willing to shrug off the discrimination as the price for a career. But I didn't need or want to do that.
9/11 attacks, the Crusades, Shoko Asahara gas attack in Tokyo, Jacques Robidoux starved his son because he believed it was god's will, Paul Schäfer was convicted of sexually abusing 25 children, William Kamm sentenced to prison for a string of sexual attacks on a 15-year-old girl. Later his sentence was increased after being found guilty for a series of sexual abuses against another teenage girl over a five year period. SEE I CAN DO THAT TOO.
@cabiediger09 The Crusades were a COUNTERATTACK against the mudscum who had overrun the entire middle east, north Africa, and Spain and were threatening the Balkans. The Crusades kept the mudscum out of Europe for several hundred years.
@DarrelfromZeeland it was still over religion and over some "god" the doesn't exist, where thousands of people were killed for nothing.
and you have seem to ignored every other one of my examples, such as the 9/11 attacks or Paul Schäfer. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure these religious people were pretty evil
@DarrelfromZeeland Hitler was christian, as were many of the Nazi's, as well as Mussolini. The others you mentioned where also communists or tyrants, hmm, I wonder if that was the cause. You seem to be the average christian bigot, so that's not something new, just try not to spread your stupidity.
@DarrelfromZeeland Did you just call out islamic people because of the color of their skin? Racist fucks like you need to go into rehab. And then be taught about every religion that ever existed. Oh no! Which lottery ticket will you choose to get into heaven? Hopefully you'll pick number 1264 or maber 273. Hmmm
Fucker. Noone cares about your racist remarks. islam is very much like islam. In fact it is almost exactly the same. Dont be an closed-minded idiot. Oh too late.
i jus wanna know who wrote the bible then? did one man write the bible? did a group of dudes come together and say to themselves...lets write a fucking epic, right now! i wanna know...
I want to say thank you for everything you've tried to do. My Wife and I are members of the United States Military. and We have to lie about our Atheism in fear of discrimination and unfair treatment. I hope to see the day of change, and the only way to get change is more people like you in this world. Thank you
thats probably why i couldn't get into the Texas army national guard as soon as i told my recruiter that i was an atheist he never returned my phone calls and never called me again and if i did get ahold of him he would lie to me and my mom about being on his way to pick me up for my physical and all that crap i would take off from work for nothing.
Mr. Adkins, I tried to access the given website and was denied access because I did not have authorization. Please give me another website that I can look at the EO complaint that you filed. I am interested in the paperwork that you filed to see the progress that has been worked upon.

They have stupid group prayers all the time for Christianity? I dont understand it. At my brother's first little league game, they started with an opening Christian prayer. There were muslims, jews, and atheists all there to watch their children play. This is not acceptable for a secular government organization.
DukeDonut 2 months ago
It is foolish indeed. I agree with you. The bible says the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. Here's the thing. When god saves someone, then He opens their eyes to see and understand.

The troll was successful, yet if he wasn't he's a complete idiot to say the very least. I would also like to add how christians do not allow comments that go against them in their videos while atheists allow comments. Coincidence? I think not.
Blasthood 3 months ago
@Blasthood It's because Christianity (as well as most religions) can't hold it's ground in an open forum type of environment. It needs a controlled area where only one side is able to say anything to retain believers, when questioned and held in a critical light it crumbles into the bullshit that it is.
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
Are these kind of comments only punishable because they are in speeches or public statements (if it were a different group)? While I agree with not using taxpayer money for discrimination, I have a problem if these rules apply to personal attitudes and statements.

I would argue for having more atheists in the military. If you do not believe in an afterlife or reincarnation, then you might be more inclined to hold your life and the life of your buddies as an extremely precious thing. An atheist could be a better defender as a result of this motive

Rabsputin 7 months ago

717ukPaul 7 months ago
@717ukPaul Loves us? So let me ask you this if your children didn't believe in you because you provided no evidence of your existence, you would throw them into a torture chamber for eternity and that would be love?
Haha, you must be joking.
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@DarkBunnyLord All men have sinned against God. Lied, stole and many more. God crushed the most precious thing to Him. His Son Jesus Christ on the cross so that our sins could be washed away. If someone rejects that then they deserve hell. Because no wicked person can enter into heaven. We must be washed in the Blood of Christ.
717ukPaul 2 months ago
@717ukPaul Again you must be joking. You're telling me God, this all powerful being that knew everything that would happen if he set things the way he did despite having infinite options, had to sacrifice himself to himself to circumvent his own plan?
I'm sorry but why not just forgive? Why the convoluted need for bloodshed and blind faith. Blind faith has brought us war, hate, etc. If "faith" is the requirement you might as well roll dice as faith is believing in what you don't know to be true.
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@DarkBunnyLord He didnt sacrifice Himself. He sacrificed His precious Son for your sin. All sin deserves justice. God is just. If a murderer was told by a judge that He was free to go that would that be right? I don't fully understand how everything works but I know that I need a saviour. That I need forgiveness for every bad thing I have ever done. And Christ paid it all on the cross. He paid the price for my sins and the sins of the world.
717ukPaul 2 months ago
@717ukPaul Pardon but doesn't Jesus say he and God are one in the same? John 10:30, John 14:7-10, John 17:11 I could go on but you'd have to actually read the book you're preaching.
On top of this it doesn't make it just. NO finite crime could EVER deserve eternal torment. However if you never stole, killed, raped, etc and at most maybe cursed, or where angry from time to time somehow you're claiming it is just to torture such a person for eternity just because they didn't buy into faith? (cont)
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@DarkBunnyLord It also says when a man marries a wife they are one. Does that mean they are the same?

@717ukPaul Good job dodging all the points I made showing how unjust the character was.

DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@DarkBunnyLord romans 5:6-8 says that just at the right time, while we are helpless, Christ died for the ungodly. We must see the black filth of our sin before a holy God and abandon all hope in self. Realise we have nothing to offer God. But look to Christ and His finished work on the Cross. True freedom and rest is found in Him alone. Jesus paid it all/
717ukPaul 2 months ago
@717ukPaul Pardon but how is it a sacrifice if you become God? That's like saying "I sacrificed my rollerblades for a BMW". On top of this it doesn't solve the issue that God could have "just forgiven" he is all powerful and does make the rules after all right? So why then did he need to torture and kill someone, which btw still didn't save people as they then had to "Believe" in it with the only recorded evidence being in a book claiming historical falsehoods such as the age of the earth (cont)
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@717ukPaul (cont) the global flood that never happened (it left absolutely no evidence), talking donkeys, snakes, the massive inbreeding that would be necessary for the story to work (both with Adam/Eve and then again with Noah and his family), etc.
All of this resting on "faith" which again is like rolling dice because it provides no more evidence than one of the litterally thousands of other religions. (Not to mention once again that it is in no way just).
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@DarkBunnyLord The biggest crime man could commit is to reject Jesus Christ. Isaiah 53 says that God was pleased to crush His Son. This is how much He loves us. That He gave His Son for us so that we could have forgiveness. If someone rejects this then surely this alone deserves eternal punishment. Along with the persons many evil sins and thoughts. For God looks at the heart and the motive. If you look at a woman lustfully then you have commited adultery etc.
717ukPaul 2 months ago
@717ukPaul And that's how I know I, as well as most people, are more moral than God. If the biggest crime a person can commit is to use their brain and be skeptical, especially about something that claims to weigh on them for the rest of eternity, then God is evil and twisted for not providing definitive evidence to ensure the things he claims he "love" won't be tortured.
I'm sorry, but that's not love. Is there ANY situation in which you would torture your children? Let alone for eternity?
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@DarkBunnyLord Have you ever heard the saying. God loves the sinner but hates the sin? Psalm 5:5 says that God hates all who work iniquity (sin). Some people have a wrong understanding of who God is. Yes God is love. But God hates sin. When someone is truly born again and turns to Christ. Then they become His children. Until that then they are children of Satan.
717ukPaul 2 months ago
@717ukPaul I'm sorry but again no, that's not love. If you love someone you don't torture them for eternity, not for any reason. In fact there is no way ANY thing we do would make such a punishment just, no matter how evil. You're talking about a finite, limited crime, for an Infinite punishment. The punishment is therefor infinitely more evil than the crime and thus not just.
Then God is evil, plain and simple. To condemn people for skepticism for ignorance is pure evil.
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@DarkBunnyLord That's what the point is what I wrote. God hates all who work iniquity. So you are saying that God loves them. But the scripture says that God doesnt love them. Otherwise He wouldnt send them to hell.
717ukPaul 2 months ago
@717ukPaul No, I'm not saying God loves them, I'm saying God DOESN'T love people, ISN'T merciful, and ISN'T just. There mere fact that he'd apply an infinite punishment for a finite crime with the only out being "guessing" which God is real and hoping you got it right makes him inherently evil and callous towards humanity. (The character that is, I don't for a second believe he exists anyways.)
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@DarkBunnyLord If you have a bible i urge you to read John 3:16. Read it a few times and think about it. Make it personal. This is about your soul. For what price can we put on a soul? For God so loved you. That he gave His Son Jesus Christ to die on a cross for you. So that if you believe in Him, you shall not perish but have eternal life. Eternal life spent with Christ in paradise. There is nothing more important. Also check out the Paul washer video on youtube - shocking youth message.
717ukPaul 2 months ago
@717ukPaul Stop saying "God loved you" or "God loves you", I've already proven that bullshit as no one that loved someone would hand out the punishment he does to someone they claimed to love for ANY reason, including sin.
The sacrifice is also nonsense, if I pushed you off a boat and then threw you a life vest how would that be an act of love? This is what God has done, he has set up a system where you're guilty before you've done anything and then punishes you for this unless you accept him.
DarkBunnyLord 2 months ago
@717ukPaul I'm sorry to say this, but if you have the audacity to support Christianity, then you should be ashamed of yourself.
If you are only listening to what others have told you and have not yet read your Bible (The Bible, not a prayer guide or a Bible guidebook, but the actual Bible), then I STRONGLY advise you to do so. You will be shocked.
If you have read your Bible fully, yet still insist on worshiping Yahweh, then you need to wake up, take a step back, and reconsider your life.
artemis3120 1 month ago
@artemis3120 I didn't choose God, but He chose me and had mercy on me when i was dead in my sin. I had no hope and did nothing but sin against God, but still He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for my sin and yours on a cross. He paid the price in full and stood in my place. Now i have a hope. The best hope you could possibly have. Only when God opens our eyes can we understand the bible. Run to God and repent. Find true eternal life. May He open your eyes to see the beauty of Christ.
717ukPaul 1 month ago
@717ukPaul I'm telling you this not through ignorance, but through concern. Please, sit down and read your Bible from cover to cover. Have you done this yet in your time as a Christian?
artemis3120 1 month ago
@artemis3120 I have read most of it, maybe all. A small part of the old testament maybe i have missed. I tend to not read book by book but read certain parts at a time. Mainly the new testament.
717ukPaul 1 month ago
@717ukPaul Try reading the Old Testament, which is the foundation of Judaism and Christianity alike.
I guarantee that if you are a humane, compassionate person, it will make you think twice about following Christianity. It is true that the Bible contains a lot of good, but it also contains and endorses horrible atrocities that we, in good conscience, cannot overlook.
artemis3120 1 month ago
@artemis3120 God is just in all His ways. Everything He does is perfect and right. Jesus died for you. God crushed Him on the Cross so that you could be forgiven for your sins and spend eternal life with Him. Jesus suffered greatly in your place. Surely every bad thing that you have ever done and thought deserves punishment and eternal hell. But Jesus took our punishment on the Cross upon Himself and made a way for you to be forgiven. There is hope in Christ alone. Repent and turn to Him.
717ukPaul 1 month ago
@717ukPaul I am sorry to say, but this is exactly what I am talking about. You have not shown me that you are familiar with your own religion, but have just told me what I already know. I used to be a very devout Christian before I read the Bible myself and saw the truth behind what I had previously followed blindly.
What you are showing me here is that it is not necessary to read the Bible nor even know the basics of Christianity in order to be a "Christian." I implore you, read your Bible!
artemis3120 1 month ago
@artemis3120 You are maybe mistaking true christianity with being a catholic right? Do you believe you were a Christian because you were sprinkled with water as a child before you were old enough to repent and believe the gospel? So in this case it was forced upon you and you had no choice. Which is false Christianity i'm afraid. Jeus said you must be born again.
717ukPaul 1 month ago
@717ukPaul Even if that were the case, those words could apply to any denomination. You were Catholic and are now atheist? Catholicism isn't *true* Christianity. You were Born-Again? Well everyone knows that's not *true* Christianity. What determines a religion's or a specific denomination's validity? It must be proven through the Bible, and no Bible, any Bible out there, stands up to even the lowest moral standards we have today.
Do you take the Bible as Yahweh's divine word and commandment?
artemis3120 1 month ago
@artemis3120 Think about the price that Jesus paid for you on the Cross. How He suffered greatly for you.
*"LOOK unto Me: I am sweating great drops of blood".
*"LOOK unto Me; I am hanging on the Cross".
*"LOOK unto Me; I am dead and buried".
*"LOOK unto Me; I rise again".
*"LOOK unto Me; I ascend; I am sitting at the Father's right hand".
*"O, LOOK to Me! LOOK to Me".
*"LOOK unto Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth". Isaiah 45:22

@ChoolyBuzkill No man, you don't have to be quiet about it. If you say you are an atheist, people will want to pick your brain apart. You have to know your shit. If you have solid reasons for being atheist and able to communicate those ideas, people will respect you.

You are a hero, no matter what they say

@DarrelfromZeeland quit swearing god boy you profess christ tell me where in the good book says its ok to swear?
im a christian preacher for a few years so id like to hear ur reason as to y u swear
MrFREEDOMRIDER1959 1 year ago
@DarrelfromZeeland Jesus taught in the Bible that when a man curses or uses profanity it is a sign of evil that was in that man's heart. It is popular today for both men and women to curse. They never think of it as an evil condition in their heart, but rather a small thing that everyone does. These small words of cursing the Bible says, will defile the whole man if they are not repented of and stopped. Even Cussing and using the name of the Lord in vain causes one to become defiled

I'm sorry you were not able to have a career in the Army.
matthewtaylorbrown 1 year ago 4
@matthewtaylorbrown Well frankly I WOULD have been able to have a career in the Army, in fact I served for more than 13 years. I just wasn't willing to put up with the obvious double standard applied to atheists in the military. I'm sure there are many who are willing to shrug off the discrimination as the price for a career. But I didn't need or want to do that.
tillnow67 1 year ago 3
@matthewtaylorbrown Atheists are evil people. Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Ceaucescu. All atheists.
DarrelfromZeeland 1 year ago
@DarrelfromZeeland You missed several things. These are all tyrants. Hitler and Mussolini were not atheists, they were Christians.
matthewtaylorbrown 1 year ago
@DarrelfromZeeland religious people can be evil too.

The reason that the military hates Athiests, is that they have the annoying habit of thinking for themseves.
A military relies in easily maliable soldiers who will blindly follow orders (instead of their conscience).
Religion relies on the same principle.
If they're already members of an organized religion when they join, they've already been conditioned not to think for themselves.
Just what leaders want.
