@akosiCoco Sweet and savory? It's a taste common to a lot of asian dishes. Ever had Korean bbq? It's a sweet (pear and brown sugar) and savory (soy sauce).
I bet there is hair in that food. neither of them is wearing a hairnet or a hat. and the pollution with the rain dropping in the raw meat eww. I bet they got ill afterwards. Brits are disgusting.
@florencelovme calm down lol, nothing they're doing is going to kill them. i even doubt rainwater and the odd hair would do much. obviously i'm not suggesting it's nice to eat hair, but they''re not cooking in a restaurant...
@rabbitspliff But its not about them, its about viewers gettin influenced by this badly presented program. They should be setting an example as to how to cook in a decent way.
@florencelovme i'm sorry but regardless of the hairy bikers, I do not and will not ever wear a hairnet when cooking my own dinner. not doing so hasn't done me any harm for years so i don't see why you're so insistent on cooking in a sterile environment. it's not as if there's vibrio cholerae in our tapwater and bubonic, flea-ridden rats scuttling across the kitchen floor anymore.
@rabbitspliff did you even read what I just said? you do realize there is an amount of responsibillity when tv is involved. It is a highly influencial medium and alot of viewers immitate tv behaviour. For someone who knows nothing about cooking, this could be a disaster. TV should be setting an example and follow the highest standards in any matter it is that is being promoted. get it yet?
@florencelovme i get what you're getting at but seriously, tv isn't responsible for what people do. most people are sensible enough not to, for example, assault and torch their pet dog with a flamethrower (family guy), convert a pickup truck into an amphibious transport and try to cross the english channel (top gear), or go on the jeremy kyle show (the jeremy kyle show). i guess you work in catering to get so worked up. don't worry, i'm like that when i see irresponsible people with chainsaws.
@rabbitspliff Let me flip that over and say this : do you know how many cases of a tragedy that has occured was because of being influenced by a tv program? You said "most ppl are sensible enough", but what about the small percentage of them that in fact do what they watch on tv? Recently a kid hang himself in his bedroom because of something he watched. I mean, even if there is a single person doing this, then tv should be alot more responsible and careful as to what they get to promote.
@florencelovme I think that only a small percentage do so is testament to their stupidity. For someone to hang themselves after watching something on tv, they must've already had problems in life. I agree that tv shouldn't, for example, glorify violence and malice, but in that case I still think it commits less of an offence than video games such as the CoD series where for the gamer, making the conscious decision to shoot people (albeit in a virtual reality) becomes the norm.
@florencelovme Also, I hardly think that a TV show will convince people that cooking in the rain is a good idea. Also, there are PLENTY of American TV shows where the chefs cook without hairnets or hats. Why don't you criticize them? In fact, have you EVER seen a TV chef cook with a hairnet or hat?
@chabella123 Haha, not sure if I get what you're hinting at but you are an exception. Generally, most people aren't going to - either they don't think about it, don't think they need to or they think they look ridiculous and why look ridiculous?
@florencelovme Do most people put on a hair bet when they cook at home? Or a hat? I don't think so. Are most people going to cook in the rain? I don't think so. Do you have a stick up your arse? Absolutely. Most people aren't going to wear a hat or hairnet when they cook at home because it's a little ridiculous and most people don't care if they get their own hair into the food. At restaurants, it's a different story because of quality and you're paying for food.
Cooking on the rain is fantastic, really?
