I miss abit. Just wish they had fixed some of the board longevity issues they experienced, otherwise they were really incredible boards. The uGuru thing kinda sucked, great concept, but not that well executed.
They were one of the first to actually recognise and address the bad cap issues, and tried to put as many features on the boards as they could including eSATA.
Lets talk about the part where these board makers are not able to support future video cards and forcing users to buy their brand of video cards or get no compatability with power saving features of the board.
it's all over for the computer industry because of monopoly tactics and technology moving too fast for anyone to keep up , and the cost in these tuff economic times is murder.
@azkeyz Video cards change so rapidly, abit released SLI and Cross-Fire boards, and AMD boards.
The computer industry is all about having hardware fail on you nowadays after the warranty is out, it's disgusting. Google "planned obsolescence". You are lucky to get 4 years out of a board, by comparison I have a nearly 30 year old C64 that still boots and runs quite happily... hmm..
Manufacturers should use quality components, and not be deathing their boards deliberately. It's atrocious.
digital pulse width modulation = no more stable than inductors/capacitors/etc , with no performance benefit. I think they just wanted to put DIGITAL PWM on the box; not just Abit, but EVGA aswell.
i guess ur right but i swear i seen an intel chipset with SLI. i cant remember were mabye ur right. good thing im getting 4870 then :D but it sucks nvidia only give SLI on there uber expensibve mobo
Belive me, Intel chipsets doesn't support the SLI! I think i've readed somewhere that maybe the X58 chipset will support it, but i'm not sure.
By the way you have choosen one of the best VGAs. ;) 4870 is bestbuy now. I had a 4850, but i've messed it up with a cooler-change. :( So now i have a shit GF 7600 GT. :D
Possivelmente essa será a minha futura placa em substituição à IN9 32X Max WiFi. Resta saber quando estará disponível para venda. Vídeo muito bom, recomendo!!! CopHard Fórum PCs.

no intel motherbored in history supported sli
nvidia wont give their sli license for any one
CRAKIZGOOD 3 years ago 2
wrong lol. the old P35 chipset supported SLI cause the asus maximus and all supported it.
jasa00 3 years ago
no lol nvidia never gave intel a SLI licence
it will give them the licence on the X58 board
all the the intel boards b4 x48 supported crossfire only
and on the skulltrail nvidia only gave them a permission
if the old p35 supported sli send me a link that proves it
CRAKIZGOOD 3 years ago
i dunno about licence but i swear i have seen intel boards with SLI and from Tiger Direct Video a least 1 P35 had SLI im sure..
jasa00 3 years ago
its not possible i searched wikipedia and even logan said that no intel boards have sli
CRAKIZGOOD 3 years ago
no i swear the P35 have SLI. Serach up on asus maximus or the P35 Deluxe from Tiger
jasa00 3 years ago
there is 17 p35 motherboards on the asus website
15 of them are p5k
2 of them are deluxe
P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP
P5K3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP
ive checked the none have SLI
if asus had a p35 motherboard then nvidia gave intel there chip
CRAKIZGOOD 3 years ago
P35 is a CrissFire chipset. There's no P35 chipset motherboard with SLI.

Yeah, Intel licensed SLI from Nvidia. I think for use on their Xeon boards.
userjoe1020 3 years ago
why would a Server Computer use SLI :\
Plus Xeon is a processor.
