Haha yep gloves would have saved your hand, its better to mount it to your helmet, your body gives suspension to the camera and allows a smoother picture.

But it was a camera test. it would appear the camera held up just fine. I had a good wipeout with a Sony Handycam mounted once and it was never the same again. I'm thinking of getting an ACT3K just for this kind of stuff.
