According to wiki, with an interview with ZUN, apparently he was gonna make Myouren the stage 6 boss.

Actually, ZUN spelled "Houkai", "Hokkai". "Hokkai" is the correct way of spelling it.

When I got to stage 6 of UFO, I died at least two times because I was paying more attention to this song than the actual bullets. Plus, this theme was not as upbeat as the other stage 6 themes, leading me to think that this boss was going to be a piece of cake.

orin is harder than okuu. same for sakuya being harder than remilia. the only thing with sakuya is, her boss fight is 2 cards and 1 noncard shorter

Once you know how it works, more than half of Sakuya's fight is trivial even on lunatic. The rest can be beaten with bombs. Compare to Remilia, who has only two trivial attacks, 3 attacks that will randomly wall you, and possibly the hardest spell card ever. But hey, to each their own.

I agree with you, though. Sakuya falls far, far below Remilia. And while Orin is hard... Okuu is even worse. You don't think the suns she throws out will be that threatening... but they really, really are. Just because it looks simple doesn't mean it's easy.

I don't want to clog up the comments any more with this conversation, but while BoLaD is difficult, there's a loophole that makes it really easy if exploited. Scarlet Meister has no such trick.

And Utsuho's the easiest Windows series final boss. She completely falls apart after her second spell card and becomes really easy. Orin's much harder.

I think ZUN plans the timing as well to add some kind of maximum effect. It wouldn't be a mere coincidence that the audio & visuals would appear in sync for every game.
