  • FFS tabbing this must've taken ages! for the love of god people expertvillage videos are for people who don't know which way to hold up a guitar.

  • Well it sounds way better on the E-String. Good Video anyways.

  • 0:45 Is he serious? It's not hard at all

  • @PunkRocker290

I guess it was too hard for you to figure it out anyway.

  • @SpartanM621 Guess You don't get sarcasm either

  • @PunkRocker290 So you respond to sarcasm by asking if it was sarcasm?

  • @hailmasch maybe...

  • hahahaha 0:06 thats funny

  • JOE WILES IS INCREDIBLE!!!

  • yeah i do it right but like radionuss99 says it change and I don't understend a thing............why everyone does it on one string ?? it's easier if you use the others too

  • lol i think this is even easier than smoke on the water

  • 7-7-10-7-5-3-2 and than7-7-10-7-5-3-5-3-2 :D

  • @radionuss99 Bahaha I just messed around to see what was right and got that

  • @radionuss99 and on the second time you have to do that order the first one switches to 7-7-10-7-10-12 (let play for extra beat)-10 then witch off

o, and on a side note,

    PALM MUTE!

  • @radionuss99

    nope

listen to the song and you'l hear

  • @radionuss99 That part doesn't come until the chorus, played on the power cords, but ya got the right idea

  • @radionuss99

    no it isnt

its played this way all through out the song

what your saying is only in the chorus but with barchords from the A string

  • Comment removed

  • dude its acutally played on the low e string

  • @nintendogamerlper No, it isn't. This is exactly how you play it.

  • @letsgetcarriedaway i knew that my brother commented on the vid your great im just a newbie

  • it's very gooood ! thanks a lot

  • i do 9-6-75-37-67-34-673-6734-7-347-36-83-868- lol

  • perfect tutorial in just 2 minutes i learned it =)

  • I play powercords in this song o.O

  • If anyone couldn't figure that out on their own u suck !!

  • after u play that bit he just showed u a few time u can go 7,7,9,7,5,3,5,3,2 (frets)

  • @dzone r u a dumbass that isn't the full song listen to the song and look at tabs for the song

  • he's got it wright other guitar lessons play it wrong

  • am i the only one that noticed this isnt the whole song???

  • @nixsic that is the whole song, genius :))

  • Thanks man you made it fast and easy to work, keep up the good guitar skills man!

  • Wow, that's a hard one...

  • i play this on the E string.. is that still correct? i dont like how it sounds on the A string.. it sounds too mellow and bright.

  • Thanks man! YOOHOO

  • Wow, its really hard as f**k to play...LOOOL

  • You... are.... a.... MASTER :D !

Just plain simple straight to the point! BANG!

Im gonna go learn it right away :]

  • you play 7-7-10-7-5-3-2

    then you play after 7-7-10-7-5-3-5-3-2

  • i playit like that except i go 7-7-10-7 on the 5th and then 10-8-7 on the 6th

  • Lol He doesnt use an octave pedal its open A tuning

  • no he does use an octave pedal, one octave lower. but he does use open a tunning too, but that is so that he can use the slide, the song can be played using standard tunning.

  • i like playing it- 4th string up, 5-5-8-5-3-1-open-5-5-8-5-3-1~3~1-0

  • if u wanna play in all in one spot just play 2-2 on D, open G, 2-D, open D, 3-A, 2-A.

watching some live performances i think this is where he plays it.

  • how come u didn mention the quarter-note triplets used as the turn-around @ the end of the riff? thats such an important process to explain to newbs cuz they can't even figure how to lock into polyrhythm

  • This is simple and awesome. Not really much of a help, but thanks for the tab.

  • thanks man i learned it in 50 seconds!

  • @Rocker26Gio I learned after radionuss99 posted that comment which was in 10 sec lol

  • the song is not standard tuning

  • This is the lesson? I don't think so :D

  • this just a part, not the whole song....and i play in b on the 1st string. 5-5-8-5-3-1-0

  • are u being sarcastic my brother learnt that entire song in 5 minutes hes 11

  • Awesomly easy and great.

    Thanks.

  • i hope he was.

    xD

  • erm

practice ur guts on this cause its really hard?

    u WERE sarcastic, werent u?

  • @niamdevil no shit lmfao

  • there was 1 mistake, it goes:

    7-7-10-7-5-3-2--7-7-10-7-5-3-5-3-2

  • Exactly...

  • there was no mistake, jack white does that rythm in the chorus with the slide, this verse rythm is just 7-7-10-7-5-3-2

  • @oysteinre right you are!

  • thats only when hes playing on all three stings if you listen to the song in the beginning he only plays this part

  • lmao he looks like Gilby Clarke from Guns N' Roses

  • its reay easy :) but nice sound ;) i like it more on bass^^

  • @libmrbrownducks

    Dude take your medicine

  • AWESOME

  • wow, thank dude!

  • quite easy :) thx 5*

  • dude nice video!

  • i just tought myself this before watchingthis :D i learned it on piano so i thought bout where ther keys are on piano and tought myself that way. nice guitar btw

  • hey can I have ur guitar?

  • FUCKIN EASY!!!!!!!!

  • "Practice with your guts out, i know its pretty hard"

  • really really easy riff

  • actually Jack plays in his guitar but q tune his 6th string in B

  • actually.... he doesnt.....

Jacks guitar is tuned open A (EAEAC#E)

and he uses a Digitech Whammy for the octave down setting. He turns the whammy off for the choruses.

  • Acctually, while playing the main verse, you go 7 7 10 7 5 3 2, then 7 7 10 7 5 3 5 3 2. That is how it is really played. just thought i should throw that out there

  • it only does that change in the chorus.... in the verses the first part does remain constant.

  • No, He Does That With Power Chords During The Chorus, The Whole Intro He Does What Was Explained, Go Listen To The Song Again
