  • what happens if you are trying to find the maximum value and you do this method and your answer is > 0 giving you the minimum... how would you find the maximum?

  • we find the second derivative for us to know if its in maxima or minima..i guess.

  • Why do we have to find the second derivatives? why don't we use first derivatives to find value of x?
