actually Utah is the most conservative and one-sided state poltically in the union, and actually if you looka t some of the facts in the movie it is pretty iotneresting. The movie is more about free speech than politics, I kno Michael Moore has some skewed ideas but the people at Utah Valley State went to ridiculous lengths to keep him from speaking. BTW mosot Americans are now against the war and have been for quite some time.

and slo I forgot the percentage but if u look it up Utah is way more to the right than any other state is to either right or left, but that can be msileading because many states have large political monopolies but only in certain regions of the stste, 4 example California's coastline and urban areas are heavily liberal but rural more inland Cali is fairly conservative, in reality very few "regions" are divided it is only the states as a whole.

Maybe you haven't heard, but in America we let people speak even if we don't like what they have to say. With that in mind, it's ironic that you bring up propaganda of the USSR and the Third Reich. The Soviets and the Nazis were gross repressors of free speech rights. Anyone who knows the smallest bit about history knows that. The issue was Moore's right to speak, not the quality of his film making. I should add that I'm a U.S. soldier and I think the 2003 Iraq invasion was illegal.

You complain that 'This Divided State' is unfairly singling out Utah because every other state has similar political divisions. That is the whole point of the film! The conservative/liberal split is present throughout America, and the UVSC debate is just a microcosm of a larger issue. The film is about free speech, not about treating Mormons unfairly.

it's true we need opposition and that some times repuplicans are irritating with their old views, but as far as I remember, i think my point was more on the fact that during the elections, people allways get divided, while the video gave the impression that utah is somehow hostilely divided all the time.

Not every state is as sharply divided, Ur from Finland so I guess you wouldn't kno jsut like no1 who is not serving in the militray regardless of combat experience can reach an intelligent conclusion about the Iraq war, and c'mon, Moore has been welcomed at amny other colleges, many colleges in the U.S. are left leaning so it's no suprise but this movie isn't about prejudice or to demonize conservative Mormons and even tho it may be biased.
