En portada de una edición dominical de ese mismo periódico apareció (1981) "Mary Trini, baladista internacional".

Back in the 70s Argentina had a good performance in MU (Argentina made it in 73 76 77) So it wasn't rare back then....now it's rare to see argentinians making the semifinals, although the are beautiful...and Belize rare then rare now

the british isles had 3 semifinalists ( wales, england, scotland ) but forward to 2007, none of the participate in the Miss Universe. Bermuda's was beautiful.

WOW !! Even though Miss Venezuela won Miss Universe 1979. Months later, Miss Bermuda who was 1st Runnewr-Up became Miss World 1979.

I loved Miss Belize's reaction to being called to the Top 12.
