@P00TANARA Please refrain from talking crap. If you can't hear the feeling then you're the one who's missing something. and for the record, I don't even like this - it's not my thing - but Howe's feeling is not in doubt.
@P00TANARA Lilsten up you broke Greek, if you had any integrity you'd admit that you couldn't identify feeling - it's in your own fucking words. And maybe if your fellow 3rd rate European countrymen stopped trying to talk tough over the internet, and focus on your broke country, you wouldn't be in the mess that you are, begging for the rest of Europe to bail your broke arses out.
@nemesisrogue wow mr. nemesis do i sense nerves in your pathetic words or what?? this has nothing to do with countries and politics and economic strategies towards the EU or Greece, these are for politicians...we are here commenting under this video for MUSIC because we love MUSIC!!! got it???? and anyone can say its opinion...there is no right or wrong!!
LOL, my good friend, who started playing guitar recently, (we're both 25 years-old, I've been playing since age 2 & he started last year), & he sent me an Instant Message Link to this, saying "Check this guy out, He's a Wicked Shredder & he's playing a Fender Strat" & I told him "1st man, Arguably the best guitarists EVER, played a Strat; The Late GREAT Jimi Hendrix (to say nothing of Stevie Ray Vaughan) & 2nd, that is NOT a garden-variety Strat. that's an HM Strat; 24-Frets, Floyd Rose Trem
Yea, but just about all the guys from Shrapnel Records play as well (with their own unique styles). Check out the other guys too. I'll list some for you: Jason Becker, Tony Macalpine, Vinnie Moore, & Joey Tafolla. Look 'em up they are all neo-classical players but you can definitely tell them apart.
@TensaZangetsu814 thanks for your reply, i will check them out... this guy is incredible though... its totally mind blowing to see this kind of talent... and from 88...!!
Wow I just love the way his hands move! His motions are just so fluid and precise. I seriously think he's cheating, though! His hands aren't moving that damn fast and he's getting all those note????
@whaddeva When Hendrix came out, some said he would be forgotten in 15 years. Same for EVH and Malmsteen. Apparently there's a communal crystal ball utilized by guys like your buddy gillan5 that enables them to state with certainty an artist' legacy and impact. He doesn't know and neither does anyone else. The arrogance to claim he does gives real insight into his critque. "I never get personal" and then calls you a moron. BTW, Howe is stellar, chops and phrasing par excellence. Grand stuff.
@whaddeva The whole time I was waiting for personal insultation : and it came! You have to learn to respect other peoples opinons without insulting them - otherwise you will never be a real grown up. I only state my case on the artists performance - that is all. I never get personal. So shut up you moron from this forgotten Island of yours and listen to that phrygian, lydian dominant unmelodic shit all day. However; Alan Holdsworth is the real deal. I listened to him when I was 12!
@whaddeva I AM German; so do please not lecture me on BACH. Gys like Howe are all over the place, Petrucci, All the players from Ozzy, Vinnie Moore, etc, etc, etc, I admire these guy for their virtuositiy that`s is all. But they will not be remembered in 15 years from now on (only by some thousand guitar freaks). They can not write rememberable pieces of music. Its just playing their fucking scales over and over. 5 notes from Blackmore or Paul Kossof say more than that. period.
@gillan5 fuck petrucci, but all the top 80s guys will live on forever, these guys were the pioneers of electric guitar, hey i listen to shit from the 20's that would blow your mind. And there is no one else like howe out there dude. Who??? you just have really low self asteem and your a extremely negative person, even if they are not remembered, who gives a fuck? not me, not greg, just u mr happydaks,
@gillan5 They just play their scales? Hilarious. I think you're forgetting what BACH'S ENTIRE MUSICAL VOCAB WAS BASED OFF OF. Scales, buddy. Variations, motifs, themes but all using scales. Major, minor, melodic minor and harmonic minor scales make up 99% of everything Bach ever created. And then, like now, there was some arrogant critic preaching how he somehow didn't deserve whatever credit he may have achieved. Don't you see? You are that critic. Just shut up and enjoy it, man.
If somebody is looking for great virtuosity he is right here. If he is looking for good music he is completely wrong. These virtuosity guys are boring to the core. Public wanking I say.
If you look carefully at his guitar. It's not fingerprints adorning his guitar . The guitar he is using is the Marbled Fender Hm version. The rarier version. I have only seen a few of these for sale and that's over a 15 year period.
This HM strat is not one of his typical guitars that he plays...this one has either a rosewood or ebony fretboard which is usually not his choice......he is almost always playing a guitar with a maple fretboard...a Van Halen influence I'm sure!!
