NOBODY but nobody would ever contemplate doing Debussy with a choir apart from Libera. And it works,,so much does it work! Quite astounding! Never heard anything to match this performance, Than you so much boys! From the bottom of my heart!
I wonder if somebody has repaired in the 'Crawley effect': Ben always 'drags' you through his trip to the heights without his voice loses an apex of its color
who ever's going to the Libera concert this april in LA or Japan should ask the trio: I believe Sam, Ben, and Steven still tour with the boys, albeit in a backstage capacity.
Uhmm. Well, no. At 2:05 It's Steven alone, that's for sure.
I was thinking Sam could be the one who sings the deep notes at around 2:50 and 0:48. Besides, you're right about Ben's voice, it certainly can be very soft and sweet and although its quality is different form "Star of heaven ..." when he sings "Aurora stella ...", I'm thinking it's really likely it's him at both times.
Here I am again! I can't stop listening to this over and over again. I'm totally enthralled by this song. It's as if it had cast a spell on me.
I think I can tell a difference in the voices of Ben and Sam. I know Ben's voice quite well, so I think he only sings the part in English (star of heaven ...). The other voice, singing "Aurora stella ..." seems to be of a younger child. It has a different timbre from Ben's.
However, I always thought that "Aurora stella claro luna/ Aurora nocte luminosa" was also Ben because his voice can be very soft plus he always has a slight vibrato when he sings and a certain crispness.
But that wouldn't make sense since Sam has to be there some where. So maybe Sam is with Steven at 2:05) But that again sounds mainly like Steven. But I honestly don't know what Sam's voice sounds like, so..
I've just found out; It's both of them together with Sam coats. I was sure I was hearing Steven. I was right! My ear rarely deceives me!
Steven sings "Beata nominum, beata sempiterna, etc" and I'm almost sure Ben sings "Star of heaven, send your light ...". and I can clearly hear the change from Steven to Ben at 4:10, steven sings "Beata nominum, Beata Lumina" and then comes Ben "Aurora stella claro luna".
Unfortunatelly, I'm not familiar with Sam's voice; I can't tell where he sings.
beautiful!

The best performance of Libera. It is not voice of woman, man, children. It is unique category...

Odd, could be...
I know for certain that 0:44 is Ben
And 1:12 is Steven

@DarthYoungling Sam could be the lower solo, you know :) I don't know either, but he could be.

Wow, you have a good ear. I can only identify Ben's voice very well. Thanks again.

Sam's Voice is a little bit richer than steven's voice and not much than Ben's..

Are you sure it's Ben Crawley? For some moments I can clearly hear Steven's voice. Maybe it's both of them.
Amazing song, though! One of my favourites together with "voca me".

I looked it up, they're both soloist. Thanks, I'll fix it.
