Data from the WHO is skewed by third world countries in which there is not adequate nutrition, medical attention, clean water or hygienic conditions. I'm not advocating against vaccinations, but for healthy individuals who contract diseases, complications are far more rare.

many yrd ago a doctor friend of family told my aunts that when a person gets a vaccine or flu shot they then become a carrier of the disease. He called it a low grade infection that they can then spread to other people who haven't had the shot. He didn't recommend getting flu or other shots. With increase of mumps etc aunts remembered what he said and feel he was right in saying vaccinated people are carriers because they have a low infection.

The reason for the increase in mumps, etc is that people ARE NOT getting vaccinated against them.

@diraska there is no increase in mumps, we got these illnesses as kids, only abut 12 people died at most of measles, no where near the amount who have died or left severely damaged after the vaccine which is the thousands. if your immune system is healthy it is no different to getting a cold, or flu, I never even had flu and I've had no vaccines Besides wakefield is not actually anti vaccine

Measles is one of the leading causes of death among young children even though a safe and cost-effective vaccine is available.

there were 164 000 measles deaths globally nearly 450 deaths every day or 18 deaths every hour.

The mortality rate of the cold is less than half of 1%

Just google death rate of measles and click on the World Health Organization link. Easy as pie.

@diraska you are just parroting statistics that are a big lie. I come from experience and was around when these illnesses were prevalent, it is very rare for anyone to die unless they already have compromised immune systems. The total figure of measles deaths in this country was 12. before the vaccines.

Finally my son went into a coma after the MMR in 1991 that I now find out 20 years later was contaminated with meningitis, it was withdraw but sold to third world coutnries where it caused mass outbreak of meningitis and death.The numbers harmed by mmr has been covered up ie not even recorded

@diraska the numbers you quote are from third world countries, where they have poor nutrition water, etcand will have compromised immune systems. I would imagine people have been harmed there too but no one is even going to looking for it

@florrirose That helps prove my point. Measles is a dangerous disease that can result in death. Let us leave out Africa then.  6,000 died in Europe. 70,000 in Eastern Mediterranean.

Sure, if rich people in affluent nations want to run the risk of measles knowing that the hospitals there could most likely save them from death... fine. Let them.

But don't go around telling people that measles vaccines are more dangerous than the disease. That is high tech colonialism.

@florrirose And this is the thing that is so concerning. The more concerns are raised in the West. These pharmaceutical companies respond by taking them and shipping them to third world countries where, due to media conglomeration, these people have no voice or plea for help against these companies owned by a small group of men.
