If you want to make even shorter work of him, switch to the shotgun when you are up close... it does lots of damage!

it took me 10 goes to beat this man. i'm not really good at defeating the bosses or anything and i had to do it by myself.

but yeah, this is the ONLY boss i have ever defeated.

and it was on the easiest level.

You can defeat him.The hard thing is like also with Ruthland that you go in circles but when you see him swing the spear you can see if it's up or down if it's down you jump,if it's up you just press the f key(ofr whatever it is for you)to stay down,always be prepared to press f.

And there's another hint when he always swings the spear up it makes a sound,and even if you don't see him you'll know that he swang up not down.

Well...yes everything looks so easy. But I think it's better I make a video with 8 minutes in size or so for players who CANNOT dodge so skilfully like you guys. (Neither can I)

I confess that at least every 5th blast will hit me. When I'm up the high platform, I'm usually there with 95% health because I haven't yet found a way to get up without getting hit by any turret.

Ahhhhh very nice! I just got the full version of tomb raider legend and im in West Africa and it took me at least 15 to kill takamoto!

Nice job. If you pick up tha shotgun before the boss fight, it works really well in close with this method. Another way of beating Takamoto is to hang back with the assault rifle and us the pillars for cover. Takes longer that way, but it is safer.

Took me 2 WEEKS to practice that beast. But I absolutely refrained from using the save game from Stella's page, because that would've been cheating. So if it takes weeks, it does.

there is a much easier way just stand adjacent to his shield or pole barrier and launch a grenaid to his direction if your good at aiming then you should be able to hit about two shots at him and from there approach and shoot like a crazy Tomb raider lol

How did you make Lara lock her target on Takamoto? No matter how I move, she would always lose her target.

It depends on the version you are playing. On PC, if you change the combat mode to Advanced Hold, Lara will keep locked on the target as long as you hold down the lock target button. :)

Holy crap it seems I did this the hard way. I must have died over 6 times attempting this boss, and I never realized there was a pole to climb up onto. I actually killed the dude from the bottom level, hiding behind the statues and jumping between them real quick while the guns were taking bits out of my health bar.
