over the last years i have listened to to so many electronic artist, all of them were very impressive composers, but i cant help myself, after listening a very long time very intensive to autechre, everything else sounds in a way "simple" to me. autechre should not have the monopole to rule the upper end of the electronic music industry, but they are so far ahead of there time.
@RiotGearEpsilon How can a bunch of random bleeping sounds be "well arranged"? I mean if any of the parts were arranged differently it would be inconsequential because they don't interact with each other.
@anticimexxx i know this is 6 months later but... i feel the same way sometimes, but venetian snares craziest stuff (winter in the belly of a snake, chrome cylindr box) always does it for me still. also i find i have to go outside autechre for the delicious harmony and counterpoint i crave (aphex, arovane)
hmm in europe some of his works are comparitively cheap on amazon, if you look @ the other vendors a japanese seller offers some of them for around 20€, unfortunately lot of the stuff is not anymore available for that price =(
this is indeed cool, but for non-electronica people i think Aphex is the coolest.check out Girl Boy Song, Meltphace 6 and all of his piano works (strotha tynhe, kesson daslef etc.). Mt Saint Michel is his best.
RIP rei.
Some real shit.

@anticimexxx can't deny this is a pretty minimalist sound, but it's very well arranged

やっぱ、レッド・カーブ。
すごい、すごいって友達のなかでも話題になったよ。
このアルバムの凄さって音楽史に残るんだろうけど、この予定不調和の凄さって何?

You mean "Trace of Red Curb" (2001).
mingmingba 3 years ago
No, "trace of red curb" contains a remix of this one called "cape (rh re-arrange)", this is the original from "red curb" :D
