@XBL4DEZX their shells are soft and the egg yolks that feed the baby through its umbilical cord is connected to the egg shell, some babies absorb all their yolk faster than others, if you pull on the egg at all you could harm the baby or damage the yolk so the baby can't absorb all of its yolk, some larger snake eggs you can cut them open more but these are the size of ping pong balls and the babies are super fragile, if you tug on a baby at all you can damage their spine...
