This is a great vidio & a great track . I got the vid with A Lazarus Taxon & for some time the track has been my Tortoise favorite. Iv been there too "aran". But the funny thing is when i listen carfully i can hear Rolph Harris in the background singing Two Little Boys. Isn't this just something else alltogether.
@firsttimein This came out before Boards had released MHTRTC, 1996 to be precise. IIRC the Old Tunes hadn't been released to the public yet, and I think this was recorded around the same time as Twoism anyway.
It's probably the other way around, BoC may have been influenced a lot by this kind of music.
This looks to me as if Tortoise equally dealing with the music and the pictures.. Also the last bit says "Sound design by Tortoise", does anyone know if the group have done anything else like this? It's kind interesting to me.
They're fantastic. All their albums are worth listening to. Any you don't like right away, try again every couple of months. My once least favorite tortoise albums have grown on me to the point of becoming favorites.
Yeah, was gonna say. Tortoise vids are always so great to watch, great visuals too. Judging by the cobblestone wall and super green grass, I'd say that last bit with the cow is Ireland too.
They really were weren't they? Thats kind of sad though. Either way that means the best is already over or I can't anything to enjoy in this last decade of music.
There was plenty of good music in the 00s, and there continues to be great stuff out there today. You just have to know where to look for it. They sure as hell aren't gonna play this on MTV anymore.
what album is this from?

I wonder if Boards of Canada had anything to do with this, very similar.
