@OtomoTenzi I returned my PN58B650 and replaced it with a LG 60PK750. I am planning on getting a 60PZ950 soon as the 2011 Samsung "D" series plasma's still have reports of buzzing, and Panasonic's TV's wont be coming out till later this year.
Hmm, bought PS50C6500 (manufactured 5/2010, Hungary) and BUZZES! :(( Ok, any remediation known? Funny thing is that I am unable to locate the exact position of sound on the back side of TV, however when sitting in front of the TV I can hear the buzz comming from the ceiling much more stronger than from the TV itself. The reflection in the room is terrible.... will try som "put the carpet on" solution. I can still return the TV, however G20 are unavailable and suffer from black level increasing..
@Granko79 -- There is no fix for buzzing. My previous comment was when C series was fresh and not many reports of buzzing, but the truth is the buzz problem is near as bad as the 2009 B series Plasma's.
I recommend you return your TV, and replace it with anything other than a Samsung Plasma. My recommendation would be a 50PK950.
@BIOHazard877 Done (returned), however, I consider buying 50PK250 as I absolutely don't need those multimedia thingies (got HTPC) and the rest (except for that "black polish") should be the same...
i bought the samsung pn58b550 in feb of 2010 and it made the same noise, very annoying.unfortunately my 3 year old daughter cracke the screen, it is in the shape of a Y and the crackes are about an 1 1/2 ling on each line.is this fixable
i was just wondering if you can make a new video with the tv being on for like a 1 or 2 min. i just want to hear how bad the buzzing is with the volume from the tv.
i was thinking about buying a samsung pn50c8000. i dont want to hear buzzing with the volume up.
@dlp323 -- From what I've read, the new 2010 (C series) don't seem to have the buzzing problem near what the 2009's had. I've only read of a couple people with buzzers, but most do NOT get buzzers with the C series 2010. Good luck, check out AVSForums for more news.
@flexor212000 I've owned many CRT tube TV's, I know that Plasma's have their own buzz, but the buzz on the 2009 Samsung's that I'm talking about, IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. It is NOT even close to normal. The buzz is so strong you can practically feel it, it is nothing like the high pitch whine of a tube TV, or of other plasma TV's. Completely different and is 100% a defect. Anyone discrediting people with buzzers, is simply an idiot.
got my samsung plasma PN58B650 a few days ago. Picture quality is excellent. But I can clearly hear the buzzing high-pitch noise when I pause my blue-ray player. I think the buzzing noise has already made my ears sore tonight. Going to talk with the best buy store associate on how to get this fixed otherwise going to return it.
@YYOOUUJHF77 Sorry to hear that, sadly after ~6 months of reading I still haven't heard of anyone fixing a PNB650...... pretty much you will have to either return it, live with the buzz, or exchange it (which also is very rare for someone to exchange their buzzer for a non-buzzer, only seen it a couple times, most will get a buzzer again), but regardless, Good luck!! I am hoping to pickup a 2010 LG soon as they are great for the price.
We just got our PN58B650 and the buzzing is overwhelming. Can't hear it much when watching a movie with our surround sound system one, but watching regular TV the buzzing is so annoying. We are fighting with Samsung to be able to return the TV. Did you keep yours?
I hate that Samsung is acting like a status quo huge corporation as you do, but there is no reason or excuse to spam the fuck out of Youtube with your bullshit uneducated comments, that don't even properly describe Samsung's issue.
Some people work hard to buy this crap and it takes a DUMP in just over a year. Maybe U can piss your money away on garbage. Samsung knows about the problems with their cheap junk parts but keeps putting them out. If samsung keeps posting their ads for tvs that last for just under two years I will keep on posting where the customers can find the truth about samsung garbage. These are NOT isolated incidents, THOUSANDS of customers have the same problem. I think your full of bullshit.
the Initial buzzing starts at 0:05 in the video, and the second, more prominant buzzing, starts at 0:13 seconds in.
What you hear at 0:13 seconds is what it normally sounds like. I believe the buzzing may actually be less noticable after I moved forward with the camera.
That thing's a mirror

If it buzzes, then why don't you just RETURN IT? : P
Don't tell me you spent like 2-3 grand a TV that you couldn't even return.

@ed0985587 Yes only plasma's have the buzz issue.
BIOHazard877 11 months ago
@BIOHazard877 hmm odd... I ended up buying a 50 in plasma and it works flawlessly no buzz. Maybe it was.corrected in the newer models

Dude. That TV stand is WAY too small for that Plasma! Get a decent stand.

@Granko79 -- All 3 models are significantly different:
PK550: NO anti-reflective, NO THX, NO widgets, Razor-Frame design, Working 20pt calibration and NO image enhancement issue
PK750: SOME anti-reflective, THX, widgets, Skin Glass with 1 sheet of glass design, BROKEN 20pt calibration (working 2pt cal), and image enhancement issue
PK950: TruBlack + AR Filter, THX, widgets, Magic Remote, Skin Glass with 1 sheet of glass design, Image Enhancement issue, and 20pt unconfir

@BIOHazard877 Also, PK950 has a 5M:1 contrast ratio vs the 3M:1 of the PK550 and PK750.
